This video shows how completely ignoring points strategy will result in a very quick loss. Here our team (Blue) was totally outclassed in terms of strategy. By 0:45 - less than a minute into the game, our team has lost the center and isn't even gaining the boost for zone A.
By 1:45 we have recaptured zone B, but everyone on the team is concentrating at zone A while zone C is unoccupied - again, a complete waste. We are simply not pressing the enemy. At 2:00 I decide to go to zone C myself, thinking (wrongly) that someone else will hold zone A. By 2:30, the enemy just walks into zone A, which is still undefended. By 3:15 I've captured zone C, and the enemy isn't even holding zone A, but my team does nothing to get the two points per second we could be making there - instead they are too focused on keeping the 1 point per second we're making at zone B.
By 4:10, we've lost all three zones. At 4:30, I make an incredibly stupid mistake by trying to reinforce the effort to take back zone A, which is strongly held by the enemy (fighting the enemy where he is strongest - Sun Tzu would not approve). I should have attacked zone C, which was empty. At this point, Blue team's efforts are a comedy of errors.
By 5:10 our team is breaking and the enemy is not even holding ANY of the boost zones, but none of my team even consider walking into zone A or C. Instead, they group together at zone B, where they cannot even heal, and are killed there, one by one.
This was by far the worst game I've ever seen - the enemy team didn't even have to use good strategy to win. Embarrassing!
