Causes of urinary tract infection(UTI Infection): Urinary infections can happen due to blockages which make it difficult to empty the bladder. It could be due to kidney stones, enlarged prostate gland or cancers. Improper personal hygiene and bathroom hygiene can lead to UTIs. Use of spermicides or condoms can also lead to irritation of the skin and can increase the risk of a UTI. Use of diaphragms can decrease emptying of bladder and lead to an urinary tract infection. Diabetics have an increased risk of contracting urinary tract infections. Urinary infections are the main reason why women should wipe from front to back after using the bathroom. The reason behind this is that the urethra is located close to the anus and bacteria such as E.coli, which is present in the large intestine, can escape from the anus and enter the urethra. From here, they can reach the bladder, causing bladder infection. The infection should be treated as soon as possible otherwise there is a possibility of the kidneys getting infected. Post menopause, there are changes in the normal bacteria which reside in the vagina. This can increase the incidence chances of urinary tract infections(UTIs). UTIs can also happen due to use of a catheter (a tube inserted into the bladder to allow draining urine into a bag when someone cannot urinate normally) which makes it easy for bacteria to enter the bladder. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) or Bladder Infection Symptoms: • Burning sensation during urination • Increased frequency of urination • Blood in the urine • Cloudy urine • Change in colour of urine • Strong odour to urine • Pelvic pain (women) • Rectal pain (men) More serious urinary tract infections are those involving kidneys. They are bacteria can enter bloodstream from kidneys and circulate throughout the body causing septic shock and death. Pain in back and sides, chills, fever, nausea and vomiting are symptoms of upper urinary tract infection. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) Treatment: You can take UTI medication or home remedies for UTI. These natural UTI remedies are quite effective and they do not have any side effects. Natural products help the bodies’ immunity to fight the infection. It also kills the bacteria and helps to flush out the toxins from the body as they are natural diuretics.
