Free AC Check -Advantage Auto Repair and Transmission - Auto Repair Tucson.mp4

00:41
http://advantage-autorepair.com Needing auto repair in tucson is often frustrating. Really, to encounter any form of car trouble, particularly if you are in a hurry or are far from an auto repair shop in Tucson can be a more than annoying. These types of incidents can be avoided if you are able to regularly have your car checked. Regular car maintenance and repair can help prevent the possibility of you being stuck in these situations. Maintenance of your car can range from basic car maintenance to an overhaul or car check-up. Importance of basic car maintenance There are several car maintenance measures that you have to do to keep your car at its best. It is important to bring your car to an auto service and have it checked. Have your engine checked regularly. Remember that the engine is the heart of your car; with a busted engine, your car is useless. Having your engine checked regularly will ensure that it is working properly and it is up to speed. Also, it is important to check your car transmission, otherwise you might be stuck in one of the main highways of Tucson under the heat of the sun. Checking the brakes should also be part of your basic car maintenance. It is highly suggested that you seek the assistance of a good mechanic to have your brakes checked. Remember that maintenance of your brakes is important for safety reasons. Low brake fluid levels can cause soft brake pedals. At the same time, dirty brake pads can cause the brakes to squeak. Having your brakes checked regularly by a mechanic can prevent these from happening and ultimately reduce the risks of accidents caused by brake malfunction. In Tuscon Arizona, auto AC is as important as air conditioning in your home. A functioning auto AC provides daily comfort from the heat outside. If your auto AC emits undesirable cooling then it is time to bring your car to an auto service and have it checked. AC repair can range from a simple cleaning of a dirty condenser to a mechanical procedure. It is important that you take care of any minor concerns as soon as you recognize them to avoid any serious problems and an expensive car repair procedure in the future. Importance of regular mechanical inspection To maintain safety and reduce the cost of car repair, it is important that you have your car inspected regularly. Regular mechanical inspection should be done and not just a visual inspection of your automotive, since many components of your car cannot be inspected visually. It is vital that you seek assistance from a good mechanic and subject your car to a diagnostic check-up to determine if all parts are in working order. A car diagnostic tool will help pinpoint problem areas in your car without having to gut out your car. Importance of immediate car repair When experiencing any form of car trouble it is important that you immediately have your car checked. By doing so you will be able to prevent any huge damage to your car. There is a reason why the safety system in your car is installed. It is there to inform you of any problems or mechanical failures that your car is having. It may be signaling that it is time to fill up on refrigerant for your auto AC or have your transmission checked in Tucson. Oftentimes, it can mean that you need to get auto repair from a trusted tucson mechanic. Car repair and maintenance is important. By following preventive maintenance measures, you are able to save time, effort and money. With the assistance of a good mechanic you will be able to have a well-maintained and properly running vehicle. Visit Advantage Auto Repair and Transmission in Tucson Arizona today and let us give you a free A/C inspection! Advantage Auto Repair and Transmission 3155 N Stone Tucson, AZ 85705 520-807-5555

It needed a complete set of shocks/struts. About 1,300. was invested to repair the suspension system. A week later he is driving normally down the highway taking a friend home. He then notices that the car is running HOT and steaming from the radiator, he quickly pulls over and pops the hood. Not knowing what to do, he has it towed to a mechanics shop. How To Body Work and Paint Plastic Auto Parts Yourself (SEM)

Visit https://vip.learnautobodyandpaint.com/free-autobody-manual/ for the BEST Training on How To Paint A Car! Get complete auto body and paint DOMINATION and training here:https://www.learnautobodyandpaint.com/vip-offer/ Read The How To Paint Plastic Car Parts (aerosol bumper paint) Blog here: https://www.learnautobodyandpaint.com/blog/how-to-paint-plastic-car-parts/ In the video above we tackle the most common fix in the industry. You know when you see those ugly faded plastic bumpers right? Well, there are 3 ways to fix this eye sore. 1st. you can try to scrub them with some car soap or degreaser and wash the oxidation off. 2nd. you can buy a solution they sell (like a basic rubbing compound) which works well, and just rub it out. Some ppl use peanut butter! I personally think that's a little wacky but whatever floats your boat. I'de rather use come compound. the same compound that you'd use to buff your car. 3rd. If the bumper really looks bad (Paint It!). That's what we've decided to do in this 7 minute video above. Keep in mind that this job was a QUCKIE. We didn't bother to fill in the minor scratches with glaze putty that were on the rear bumper cover. Good thing. Because I found out that the truck was backed into something a week later and got ruffed up even more. The first step to painting plastic parts is to properly clean your plastic. I prefer lacquer thinner. REMEMBER: there us a difference between 'paint thinner and 'lacquer thinner'. You want to use lacquer thinner. Next, pick some cans of SEM bumper coater. It's good stuff and they also have a formula now where you don't need to worry about adhesion promoter (stuff to put on the plastic so your paint sticks). Mask. Take your time and do a good job. Prep is the most inportant part of painting. If you do a crapy job masking, the job will look like hell. You can lightly wet sand your plastic with 600 grit if you wish but I wouldn't go any courser. The bumper paint is thin and you may have problems covering. As long as your parts are washed well with lacquer thinner you're safe to paint directly on your plastic bumper. Spray 2-3 coats or until full coverage. ...and that's basically it. Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to comment and share this post. We would love to hear back from you! How to Spot and Service a Stuck Rear Caliper - EricTheCarGuy

Visit me at http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ During the used car inspection that I did on my Subaru I found evidence that the rear calipers weren't doing their job so I decided to make this video of how I handled the situation. It's been about a month since I shot this video and even though I didn't machine the rotors they are actually much better than they were, I don't hear any noise and the car stops fine so you may also be able to get away without machining the rotors. --- Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com http://ericthecarguy.com/ Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/default.aspx Visit my Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy --- Stay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.  EricTheCarGuy assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. EricTheCarGuy recommends safe practices when working with power tools, automotive lifts, lifting tools, jack stands, electrical equipment, blunt instruments, chemicals, lubricants, or any other tools or equipment seen or implied in this video.  Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, no information contained in this video shall create any express or implied warranty or guarantee of any particular result.  Any injury, damage or loss that may result from improper use of these tools, equipment, or the information contained in this video is the sole responsibility of the user and not EricTheCarGuy.

Saving at the Auto Shop: Car Expert Lauren Fix

01:53
Courtesy of YNN/ Time Warner Cable Aired 4/03/2012 When you own a car, maintaining it is critical. Lauren Fix, the Car Coach, shows you some ways to save money at your auto shop. If you own a car you should also expect to repair and maintain it. Don't let a visit to the repair shop put a dent in your wallet. Make the most of your time and repair money with these tips. Consider these six tips: 1. Stick to the owner's manual recommendations. Most manuals lay out a lifetime maintenance plan to keep your vehicle running reliably with minimal repairs and costs. The manual also provides solid information to refer to before you get your car serviced. It's harder for the service writer to up-sell you when you're properly informed. 2. Get several quotes in writing. One quote isn't enough for big repairs, you want to get at least two. Make sure the quotes are documented so that you know what you've agreed to pay before the work begins. 3. Take a hands-on approach. Educate yourself about repairs beforehand. Don't shy away from asking questions. Ask the service person—who should be Automotive Service Excellence certified—to show you the old parts and exactly what work is being done. Never feel intimidated! A technician should be able to show you exactly what's wrong and explain how to repair it. 4. Go "indie." Find an independently owned service center or a small chain that you'll use routinely. In exchange for your loyalty, you may also get a few perks, such as preferred appointment times or a discount on routine oil changes. 5. Get it done for free. If there's been a recall or technical-service bulletin (TSB), your repair may be done free at a local dealership. Check the automaker's website for recall notices before you book an appointment at a service center. Why pay for a repair that can be done at no charge? The dealer will cover recalls and some technical issues. 6. Don't bother with engine or transmission flushes. These techniques are often recommended to clean up dirty engine oil or transmission fluid but they can cause problems too, including a lack of engine lubrication and faulty shifting in a transmission. Don't waste your money. If you keep up with the maintenance work recommended in your owner's manual, you don't need these procedures. For more information, visit www.carcare.org.

HorizonHobby.com How-To: Understanding RC Motor Technology

17:58
Please click "See More" for links and more information It's amazing to see how far electric motor technology has come over the years. From closed end bell 540-size Johnson or Mabuchi motors to open end bell hand-wound modified motors, and now brushless motors, it's amazing to see just how far motor technology has come. With all the different types of motors and technologies in use, things can get quite confusing. We're here to help demystify motor tech and provide the answers you'll need in understanding your electric motor system. In addition, we've also put together a comprehensive list of terms below to help you better understand the different technologies out there, how they work and what this all means to you. Armature—The central component in a brushed motor. The commutator, stack and windings are all mounted to the armature. Brushed Motor—An electric motor that utilizes brushes rubbing against a commutator to transfer electrical current to create rotation. Brushed motors are inexpensive to produce, but require frequent maintenance to ensure the motor will continue to perform at a high level. Can—The main "body" of an electric motor. The can houses the magnets in a brushed motor and the stator in a brushless motor. Closed End Bell Motor—A brushed motor that is not designed to be readily serviced. Closed end bell motors tend to have shorter life spans compared to open end bell motors due to the fact that the commutators and brushes cannot be easily cleaned or replaced. Commutator (A.K.A. Comm)—A rotary electrical switch in brushed motors. The commutator is copper in color, mounted to the top of the armature and features three segments. The brushes ride against the commutator and transfer current to generate rotation. End Bell—The top-most portion of a motor. On a brushed motor, the end bell houses the brushes, brush springs, a bearing or bushing and, often, some sort of capacitor. Kv—A rating of performance for brushless motors. While Kv ratings are occasionally applied to sensored motors, sensorless brushless motors are almost always rated by Kv. The higher the Kv rating of a motor the faster it will be. Kv refers to the number of RPM a motor will produce for each volt of power input to it For example a 1,000Kv motor would produce roughly 7,400 RPM at 7.4 volts. Open End Bell Motor—A brushed motor that has been designed in a way to allow you to service and clean the commutator, replace the brushes and the springs. Some open end bell motors, known as rebuildable, also allow you to completely remove the end bell, making it possible to completely remove armature from the can for easier maintenance or replacement. Sensored Brushless Motor—A type of brushless motor that utilizes special sensors, called Hall Effect Sensor, to connect the motor to the Electronic Speed Controller. The purpose of this sensor wire is to allow the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) to better monitor the position of the rotor in relation to the stator to provide smooth and consistent throttle response. Sensored motors are used for sanctioned racing and are rated in turns. Sensorless Brushless Motors—A type of brushless motor that does not use any sort of Hall Effect Sensors to connect the motor to the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC). Due to the simpler construction and design, sensorless brushless motors are less expensive. Sensorless motors are generally rated in Kv. The higher the Kv rating, the faster the motor will be. Stator—The "can" of a brushless motor. The stator is the part of a brushless motor that houses the windings. Turn (A.K.A. Wind)—The number of times a length of wire is wrapped around a stack in a brushed motor or the stator in a brushless motor. The more turns a motor has, the more wire was used in its construction. Having more wire not only increases the rotating mass of a brushed motor's armature, but also increases the resistance, reduces efficiency and slows the motor down. The lower the turn of the motor (generally speaking) the faster it will be. Questions? Comments?
