💖Healthy Heart Tips 💖: Benefits of Vitamins & Supplements for your Heart

04:12
Healthy Heart Tips: Benefits of Vitamins & Supplements for your Heart As we all know, vitamins are very important when it comes to keeping your heart healthy. You need to eat the right foods of course, although you also need to supplement the food you eat with the necessary vitamins your body needs to stay in shape and keep your heart working healthy for a long time to come. If you don’t consume the right nutrients, you won’t be doing your heart any favors - and may end up having problems later on in life. The first vitamin that comes to mind for most people is vitamin E, a vitamin that is essential to improving the overall health of your heart. When taken correctly, vitamin E will stop the cholesterol in the body from harming the arteries that surround the heart. Anytime cholesterol oxidizes, it sticks to the sides of the arteries and can lead to blockages which can cause heart attacks or other serious problems with the heart. To help you keep your heart healthy, most doctors recommend that you take additional supplements that contain vitamin E. They may also suggest that you eat foods that are naturally rich in vitamin E, such as nuts. Nuts have high amounts of vitamin E, and most of them taste great. You can find other foods that contain vitamin E as well, although nuts have the highest amounts. In the past, research has shown Vitamin E to help those who have already suffered the wrath of a heart attack. This vitamin helps to prevent heart attacks in the future by opening up the arteries and eliminate blockage. Those who have had a heart attack in the past are always encouraged to add more vitamin E to their diet. What many aren’t aware of, is the fact that you can use vitamin C to boost the effects of vitamin E. Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant, which prevents the damaging effects that cholesterol has on the body. Along with preventing cholesterol from damaging the body, vitamin C also helps vitamin E with it’s functions - such as protecting your arteries and your heart. By taking both vitamin C and E as a combination, you’ll be well on your way to a healthier heart. Overall, this is the easiest way that you can be sure you aren’t damaging your heart, especially if you have had a heart attack in the past. If you have a history of heart disease or heart problems in your family, these vitamins are essential to your diet. Even if you are just concerned about the health of your heart, these vitamins will give you the peace of mind in knowing that you are eating for a healthy heart. As far as your dosage goes, it will vary from person to person, although 400 international units of vitamin E and C are the recommended amounts for most people. On it’s own, vitamin C can be tolerated in large doses, without imposing any harmful effects. You can take around 500 mg of it twice a day, and ensure that your heart remains healthy. To be on the safe side, you should always make sure that you get the proper amount of vitamins in your daily diet. Taking additional vitamins and supplements isn’t a bad idea either, especially if you are trying to boost the health of your heart. Your heart is one of the most important organs in your body, which is why you should always take care of it. If you eat the proper diet and take the necessary vitamins - you’ll be well on your way to keeping your heart healthy. DRINK This Everyday To PEE OUT More Toxins! BOOST KIDNEY HEALTH & IMPROVE KIDNEY FUNCTION Naturally

10 Ways To Improve Kidney Function Naturally http://bit.ly/2ouONK5. Do These Everyday To PEE OUT More Toxins. There is a saying I love: “Spirit is simple, the Mind makes things complex”, and for me it is no different with healing. Your body wants to heal, there is nothing that it wants to do more; it was designed to heal. Improving Your Kidney Function Can Be Simple So you see for many, improving kidney function doesn’t need to be difficult. In most cases, simply by stepping to the side and getting out of your own way, checking your thoughts, fears, and excuses at the door, you can catalyse massive changes in your health, by simply allowing the healing to take place. Rubbing Lanterns Won’t Help Improve Your Kidney Function, But Here’s What Can… Now stay with me… I am not saying that that you can cure all by thinking just happy thoughts, wishing, and “getting out of the way”, no definitely not. There are many practical things you can do every day, with little to no fuss that are very effective in helping increase kidney function. Very helpful indeed. Note: thinking positive however sure won’t hurt, in fact it will go along way; your mindset is the single biggest determining factor on how quickly you heal. … So in tune with today’s theme of simplicity, I would like to share with you 10 effortless tips that can be applied immediately to help your kidney function http://bit.ly/2ovicDZ, no need to leave home, and no need to spend a dime. How To Improve Kidney Function In 10 Easy Steps OK, let’s begin shall we? 1. The Water Hydration Technique: You know how most of us generally go for long periods without water, become thirsty (and dehydrated) and scull the next available glass in about 30 seconds? Have you ever thought what this does to your body? No? I don’t blame you. The actual fact of the matter is that every time you a drink a glass of water (or any fluid) in a hurry, you are placing pressure on kidney function. How? Well, seeing as one of the functions of the kidneys is to keep the fluid levels in the blood stream balanced, by drinking a full glass of water at once you are essentially dumping a large amount of water into the blood stream, which the kidneys now need to balance out (i.e. increase urine production). By drinking slowly, a mouthful at a time, you reduce the pressure on the kidneys and increase hydration. Sound too simple to do any good? Good. Now try it. 2. Sunshine: As you are probably aware, when sunlight touches the skin, light sensitive receptor cells are activated to produce the active form of vitamin D. Vitamin D has many benefits in the body, the main benefits being: cancer prevention, immune system enhancement, bone health, and regulation of phosphorus and calcium levels (which is important in kidney disease). Did you know then that one of the key functions of kidneys is to active vitamin D too? True. By spending just 15 mins a day under the light of the sun, you can let the sun and your skin do all the work. Your kidneys will be saved the extra work, and at the same time you get to enjoy the open air. The other important thing to note is that if your kidney function has deteriorated too far, then your kidneys will not be able to produce enough active vitamin D anyway, making sunshine all the more necessary. Low levels have been linked to diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, and heart disease. People experiencing kidney disease, coupled with low vitamin D levels, have a 26 percent greater risk of dying than those with sufficient levels of vitamin D. Have your vitamin D levels tested with your next visit at your doctors: Optimal reference range for healthy individuals: – US measurement: 50 to 70 ng/mL – World measurement: 125 to 175 nmol/L Optimal reference range for treating heart disease, cancer, and kidney disease: – US measurement:70 to 80 ng/mL – World measurement: 175 to 200 nmol/L Is the sun shining where you are right now? If yes, jump outside! 3. Juicing: Juicing is a favourite kidney function treatment of mine; it’s cheap, and it is easy to do. Vegetables just like herbs contain not only vitamin and minerals that we are all familiar with, but also contain nutrients known as phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are simply ‘nutrients’ (chemical compounds) derived from plants that are produced by the plant to aid in its survival, including: chemical messengers, structure, protection from harmful organisms, protection from insects, or even attracting pollinating insects. The interesting thing with phytonutrients however, is that although these chemicals were made specific for the plant, by some miraculous way, these natural chemicals lend themselves perfectly to other organisms e.g. Humans.

7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home : Heart attacks are caused by the blood supply to the heart being suddenly interrupted. Without this supply, heart muscles may be damaged and begin to die. fatty deposits called plaque buildup in your arteries, they can narrow the vessels and raise your risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. Several supplements are available that, over time, might help dissolve plaque and improve the function of your arteries, lowering your risk of chronic circulatory problems. Here are 7supplements that can help you unclog your arteries 1. Take fish oil supplements. If you don’t like fish or don’t have access to fish, you can simply take fish oil supplements to help get omega-3 fats. Look for fish oils that contain EPA and DHA oils. Although you might expect consuming fat to increase arterial plaque, omega-3 fatty acids may help slow plaque deposition and, over time, reduce its amount, according to experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Consuming supplements containing these unsaturated, healthy fatty acids can lower levels of blood triglycerides while raising levels of HDL, helping to keep your blood cholesterol in a healthy range. They may also help prevent inflammation of the arterial lining and reduce the risk of blood clots, both of which promote plaque deposits. 2. Take psyllium supplements. If you have difficulty getting enough fiber from foods, you can take psyllium supplements. Psyllium is a water-soluble fiber available in pill and powder forms. 3. Increase soy protein through supplements. Soy proteins are commonly available as powders that you can mix into a variety of foods and beverages (juices, smoothies, etc.). Several studies have shown that soy protein supplementation can have a beneficial effect on your cholesterol levels. 4. Take niacin supplements. You can also take niacin (vitamin B3) to help lower cholesterol levels. However, talk to your physician and monitor niacin supplementation closely. Common side effects at high doses include: • Flushing of the skin • Stomach upset • Headaches • Dizziness • Blurred vision • Increased risk of liver damage 5. Garlic Supplement. Garlic isn't just a culinary herb but is also a useful supplement if you're concerned about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis, according to evidence summarized at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Garlic contains a compound that's converted into allicin when cloves are crushed. Allicin could help lower blood levels of cholesterol by suppressing a liver enzyme that makes cholesterol. This eventually reduces plaque so You can simply add more fresh garlic to your food or take garlic supplements if you don’t enjoy garlic in foods. 6. Take plant sterol supplements. Beta-sitosterol and sitostanol are two additional supplements that may have a positive impact on cholesterol. You can find these options in supplement form at most vitamin shops or health food stores. 7. Take coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) supplements. CoQ-10 is an essential nutrient used to treat a variety of heart and blood vessel conditions. It can also counteract muscle pain resulting from other cholesterol-lowering medications called “statins.” Consider taking CoQ-10 if your doctor has prescribed one of these medications. check out my other similar videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFE8MFBZURI 😍 15 Foods That Unclog Arteries Naturally And Protect Against Heart Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-yVQyl2k4s 😍 7 Lifestyle Changes That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attack NOTE: The materials and the information contained onNatural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. These include smoking, lack of exercise and poor diet (eating lots of processed and junk foods), If you have a job where you sit for a long time at a computer, you may develop circulation problems – especially if you don’t get up frequently or participate in regular exercise. There are many herbs that are beneficial for circulation. Incorporating them into a healthy lifestyle is a great way to reap their therapeutic value. Here are 6 great ones to choose from. 1.Willow Bark Willow bark contains a chemical, salicin, similar to aspirin and has been used since 400 B.C. to treat pain and inflammation. Working like aspirin, willow bark thins the blood and promotes healthy blood circulation. 2.Ginger Root Known as a vasodilator, ginger opens up blood vessels and allows more blood to pass through. In addition to being a vasodilator, ginger root is also used for digestion and nausea. Ginger is also anti-viral and is loaded with anti-inflammatory properties which make it a good choice for cold and flu as well as joint problems. Enjoy a cup of ginger tea daily to help boost your immune system and promote healthy circulation. 3.Parsley Parsley, a popular culinary herb, is also found in many supplements because of its ability to act as a natural vasodilator and open up the blood’s passage-ways through the body. The best tea to drink is 100% organic. 5.Cayenne Pepper Cayenne has been used medicinally for thousands of years. The primary medicinal properties of cayenne come from a chemical called capsaicin. This ingredient is what gives peppers their powerful heat. Cayenne is still popular today and used to remedy some conditions including chronic pain, sore throat, headaches, toothaches and poor circulation. 6.Ginkgo Biloba From one of the oldest living species of trees on Earth comes Ginkgo biloba. It’s a powerful antioxidant used traditionally to treat blood disorders and improve memory. Supplements containing Ginkgo biloba are amongst the most popular in our culture today. POTASSIUM: The MOST Important Electrolyte - MUST WATCH!

10:00
Get Dr. Berg's New Electrolyte Powder: http://bit.ly/ElectrolytePowderCart10 (use this code: IK7H05 to get 10% off) Dr. Berg discusses potassium and the importance of this electrolyte. Your heart, your fluid, your energy, your nutrients in and out of the cell is dependent on the sodium and potassium pump. However, potassium is the most difficult to get from the diet. High levels of cortisol (stress), insulin, sugar, diuretics, excessive salt, surgery, all can deplete potassium. However, you need between 7-10 cups of salad or vegges to get your daily requirement of 4700mg. Hey guys, Dr. Berg here and I want to do a video on the most important electrolyte. Let me explain what an electrolyte is, when you put a salt into water and dissolve it, the sodium and chloride disconnect and they become two separate minerals and that fluid is very electrically inductive. Basically electrolytes have to do with minerals that help conduct electricity in the body. They help with a lot of different things. As far as the electrolytes, it will be like potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, chlorides, and all those minerals. Potassium out of all the electrolytes is the one that we need in a very large quantities. Why do we need potassium in a large amount? I am talking 4,700 mg to 6,000 mg every single day and that is equivalent to 7 to 10+ cups of salad or vegetables every single day. Let’s go dig further into why we need potassium. There are something in the body called sodium-potassium pump. It is built in a little protein connected to an enzyme, it forms a whole enzyme in the surface of your cells and you will have between 8,000 to 30million of this little tiny pumps and they are little generators that generate electricity to allow things to go through the cell so it take a lot of energy, in fact the energy of 1/3 of your diet goes to running those pumps. You also have another pump in the stomach called the hydrogen potassium ATPas, it is basically another pump that is build with a potassium that allows you to create stomach acid to help you digest. 11 Signs Your Body Needs More Magnesium

03:49
Magnesium is a mineral found in many types of foods, it plays an essential role in human DNA production, repair and in maintaining healthy bones, nerves and muscles. Though it is readily available, most Americans do not meet their need for magnesium through their diet. you should consider getting your magnesium level checked if you suffer the following 11 symptoms. 1. Low energy. Magnesium is involved in at least 300 different chemical reactions in our body, and a lot have to do with energy production. A sign of low magnesium can be low energy. 2.Insomnia. If you're having a hard time falling or staying asleep, it may be due to low levels of magnesium, particularly if you are experiencing a lot of stress. Stress hormones increase blood pressure and heart rate, this is partly accomplished by depleting the body of its magnesium If there isn't enough magnesium available for the body to replenish itself, sleeping becomes a problem. 3.Constipation. Bowel movements often slow down without enough magnesium in the body. note that magnesium is the main ingredient in many over-the-counter laxatives. 4.Frequent headaches. Magnesium deficiency lowers serotonin levels, causes blood vessels to constrict and affects neurotransmitter function, all related to headaches -- especially migraines. 50% of migraine sufferers have a magnesium deficiency. 5.Twitching or cramping. Because magnesium plays an important role in muscle relaxation, insufficient intake can result in unintended muscle movement. Without magnesium, our muscles would be in a constant state of contraction 6.Low bone density. Magnesium plays a major role in bone formation, and the majority of the body's magnesium is stored in the bones. People with higher intakes of magnesium have a higher bone mineral density. 7.High blood pressure. Magnesium is very important in maintaining a healthy blood pressure, a deficiency can definitely cause pressure to be too high. Eating foods high in magnesium and other minerals can help prevent high blood pressure in people with prehypertension. 8.Type 2 diabetes. Breaking down blood sugars is another of magnesium's jobs in the human body. People with higher amounts of magnesium in their diets tend to have a lower risk of developing diabetes. Research is ongoing to determine whether magnesium therapy can be used in diabetes treatment. 9.Irregular heartbeat. With low magnesium levels, the heart can have trouble staying in its regular rhythm. doctors will often prescribe magnesium supplements for patients who complain of an irregular heartbeat. 10.Increased sensitivity to noise. Not having enough magnesium curtails its role in stabilizing the nervous system, This often results in hyperflexia, an enhanced startle reflex. And 11. Depression and anxiety. Low levels of magnesium in the brain can affect neurological functions that result in all sorts of problems. Studies have shown that some phobias -- such as agoraphobia -- have developed as a result of low magnesium levels.  Please Subscribe! ▶ https://goo.gl/ksfh7M NOTE: The materials and the information contained on Natural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. 💗 My Favorite Proven Solution For Improving Your Blood Flow & Circulation

04:10
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow in only 30 days and avoided the #1 cause of a heart attack or stroke: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Best-Blood-Flow Or go and watch this video revealing the best exercises for improving the blood flow to your legs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yH8fxEhguk =============================================== 💗 My Favorite Proven Solution For Improving Your Blood Flow & Circulation =============================================== Having proper blood flow circulation is one of the most important keys for health, fitness and longevity. When you have proper blood flow: You have a healthier heart because you’re blood pressure is lower and you have less plaque, calcium and cholesterol buildup in your arteries and veins. This means you reduce your risk for a heart attack or stroke. You have younger skin, thicker hair and better nails - so you’ll look younger You have better memory and cognition, while reducing your risk for Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson’s and other “mental health” problems. You have improved sex drive and guys have stronger, bigger and fuller erections. And there are lots of other health benefits because better circulation means More oxygen to all your cells. More protein for faster repair and growth. And higher anti-aging hormones, which helps you look and feel younger. Unfortunately, as you get older… the negative changes in your hormones and buildup of toxins in your body, dramatically reduce circulation and thus, accelerates aging. The good news is that by adding specific nutrients into your diet, you can quickly and naturally improve blood flow Thin the blood and have optimal clotting Strengthen blood vessels Improve flexibility and elasticity of your veins and arteries, so you don’t have a stroke or heart attack. Because blood flow is so important, especially since I have a family history of heart attacks, strokes and also Alzheimer’s disease… I formulated a specific, scientifically proven solution called Blood Flow Optimizer. Blood Flow Optimizer contains only natural vitamins, minerals, herbs and amino acids. It contains Important vitamins and minerals you should be taking daily - Vit. C, D3, E and K2-7 which is a very important vitamin for proper absorption of minerals. Blood Flow Optimizer also contains a specific blend of magnesium and calcium as well, to help absorb these minerals into your bones and NOT into your arteries and veins, where it can turn into plaque buildup. Amino acid NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine), which removes heavy metals and toxins, while strengthening your kidney. It also contains 4 specific forms of L-Carnitine, which give energy and increase oxygen to your heart and brain. White Willow Extract, which is a natural form of Aspirin and helps thin your blood without the negative side-effects. Blood Flow Optimizer also contains Ginger (15% extract) which is a potent anti-inflammatory that fights against the hardening of your arteries (atherosclerosis). Inhibits abnormal platelet aggregation, which is a part of blood that can "clump" together and cause blood clotting. Ginger can increase contractile strength of the heart (a "cardiotonic" function). Ginger can also increase ATP (energy) production in the heart and enhance calcium transport within heart cells. Finally, Blood Flow Optimizer contains Nattokinase, which contributes to normal blood clotting by helping maintain normal fibrin levels in your blood. It’s nature’s natural blood thinner, which also helps improve blood pressure and circulation. There are a couple other ingredients, but I hope you get the point. If you want to improve your blood flow and circulation, reduce your risk for a heart attack or stroke and basically look and feel younger, I suggest you give Blood Flow Optimizer a try. As with all of our products, we offer a one-year satisfaction guarantee. In fact, Blood Flow Optimizer works so quickly that if you don’t show in improvement in blood flow at the end of 30 days, you’ll get a full refund + an additional $100.00 cash back. ================================================================================ Thank you for watching. → 3 Things You Didn’t Know Can Cause Poor Blood Flow & Circulation

06:04
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow and circulation in only 30 days - NO drugs or diets! ►►http://drsam.co/yt/30DaysSolution ======================================= 3 Things You Didn’t Know Can Cause Poor Blood Flow & Circulation ======================================= So today I’m going to quickly discuss 3, little-known causes of poor blood flow and circulation. 1 -- Binge Drinking Studies have shown that drinking a glass of alcohol (distilled spirits, wine, or beer) a day can help the heart function better. It also helps maintain balance and the right proportions of fat in the blood and helps lower your chances of developing blood clots and blocked arteries. However, science also reveals that more than two drinks of alcohol a day can harm the heart. How?... Large amounts of alcohol can affect how the heart works. If the heart isn’t pumping blood throughout your body effectively, other organs may suffer from lack of oxygen or nutrients. If the person drinking has clogged blood vessels, the heart has to work even harder. Studies1 on middle-aged and older people resulted in linking binge drinking to a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases like stroke, sudden cardiac death, and heart attack. Binge drinking may also lead to hardening of your arteries, which further increases your risk of cardiovascular disease. Obviously, binge drinking should be avoided in order to have a healthy blood circulation. Typically, binge drinking happens in groups. So try to limit the time you spend with your friends who tend to be binge drinkers. 2 -- Sitting For Too Long, Especially With Bad Posture While a brief period of sitting here and there is natural, long periods of sitting day-in and day-out can seriously impact your health and shorten your life. Excessive sitting is bad for your back and is one of the causes of poor circulation. Unfortunately, most of us are sitting even more than ever because of computers. And with prolonged sitting, comes negative damages to your organs The Heart – In a sitting position, blood flow slows down and muscles don’t burn enough fat, which permits fatty acids to clog in the heart much faster. The Pancreas – The body’s ability to properly respond to insulin is badly affected by just one day of prolonged sitting. This leads the pancreas to produce more insulin, and this cause low energy, fat again and diabetes. Colon Cancer – Excessive sitting may increase your risk of colon, breast, and endometrial cancers. So, how can you avoid sitting for too long? Set an alarm on your computer, watch or phone and stand up every 30-60 minutes. Move around, stretch, grab a glass of water or do something physical. If possible, go outside for a quick 10 minute walk. Instead of sitting and talking on your cell phone, walk around. There are no cords, so you have no limits. 3 -- High Intake Of Salt A high intake of sodium is a more common cause of poor circulation. For clarity, I’m referring to regular table salt or salt found in most packaged foods. Not so much with more “natural” salts such as Himalayan or Celtic Sea Salt Sodium is a mineral and electrolyte that’s crucial for your body to function well. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention2, around 90% of sodium you get comes from salt. Sodium assists in controlling blood volume and blood pressure. However, your circulatory health may suffer if you get too much of it. A high sodium diet is linked to hypertension. According to the CDC, if sodium rises, blood pressure rises too. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 recommends you limit salt intake to less than 2,300 milligrams/day. You should not consume more than 1,500 milligrams daily if you’re over the age of 50, African-American, or have health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease. Processed foods and restaurant foods are full of salt. Don’t eat these foods and you’ll be able to avoid the majority of your salt intake. You can also add in potassium rich foods or supplements, to counteract and balance the sodium intake. How to Naturally Overcome Vitamin B12 Deficiency

07:33
For more on Vitamin B12 foods, you can check out my article: https://draxe.com/top-10-vitamin-b12-foods/ In this video, I’m going to talk about how to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency and the health benefits of Vitamin B12. Surprisingly, about 40% of the population is deficient. Some of the big warning signs that you are Vitamin B12 deficient are if you struggle with low energy, fatigue, lack of focus, poor memory, poor cellular function, autoimmune disease, anemia, or thyroid condition. The biggest reason most people have Vitamin B12 deficiency is because they don’t have a healthy digestive system to digest this vitamin properly, also known as leaky gut. If you can’t absorb nutrients and vitamins properly, then you won’t be able to absorb the vitamins you need for optimal health. People who struggle with leaky gut or digestive issues, vegans or vegetarians, and people who don’t have enough probiotics in their diet all tend to have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Some of the benefits of Vitamin B12 include red blood cell formation, which is vital to heart health, cellular function, and supporting the brain and nerve system. If you want to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency, then you must follow these specific steps: 1. Consume more Vitamin B12-rich foods (liver, wild-caught fish, grass-fed lamb and beef, and raw dairy products) 2. Take a Probiotic (increases absorption) 3. Heal your gut (getting inflammatory foods out of your diet) 4. Supplementation (Vitamin B12, B complex, desiccated liver supplement) If you can follow these steps, you will notice improvements immediately and overcome your Vitamin B12 deficiency. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. How to INCREASE BLOOD FLOW To BRAIN? 5 WAYS to IMPROVE BRAIN CIRCULATION and Your BRAIN HEALTH

11:36
How to IMPROVE BLOOD CIRCULATION to the BRAIN? Blood circulation is vital for your body's survival. Blood transports oxygen, fuel and nutrients to all organs of the body, including the brain. It also moves toxins and waste products to the appropriate organs for excretion. When blood flow to your brain is disrupted, you can succumb to a stroke. Circulatory System Your circulatory system includes your heart, veins and arteries. Their job is to circulate blood throughout your body. The heart is a muscle and needs to be strong while your arteries and veins should be pliable and without obstructions for you to maintain optimum health. One common cause of poor circulation is high cholesterol levels, which can cause platelet aggregation, or arterial build-up, and lead to heart attack or stroke, depending on where the blockage occurs. Exercise to Strengthen Your Heart Since your heart is a muscle, it needs to be exercised or it can weaken. A cardiovascular workout several times a week can help keep it pumping efficiently. Proper exercising can also negate obesity, which can strain and weaken your entire circulatory system and reduce overall circulation. Yoga is a low-impact exercise that can stretch all your muscles and teach you breathing techniques that can increase blood flow. Because certain exercises can be dangerous to people with underlying health issues, you should speak to your physician before starting any exercise routine. Your Diet The foods you eat can have a huge impact on your circulation. An abundance of saturated fats can lead to blocked arteries. Large amounts of salt can lead to or exacerbate high blood pressure. Processed foods, such as white flour and white sugar, can deny your body the necessary nutrients to run smoothly. To help reduce high cholesterol, the Mayo Clinic suggests eating plenty of soluble fiber found in foods such as oatmeal and apples. Soluble fiber can absorb cholesterol before it gets to the blood stream. Omega-3 fatty acids from fatty fish such as herring or salmon can reduce blood pressure. Olive and canola oils, and nuts can keep arteries healthy and pliable. Alternative Treatments Herbalist Michael Tierra suggests using cardiovascular stimulants such as cayenne, ginger or ginseng to improve circulation. The University of Maryland Medical Center mentions that hawthorn and rosemary can help with poor circulation by providing antioxidants. Herbs such as ephedra and guarana may have stimulant attributes but are considered dangerous, as they can make the heart rate and blood pressure rise rapidly. In 2009, the FDA banned the sale of supplements containing ephedra. Always speak to your physician before adding any herbs or supplements to your diet. What Foods to Eat for a Good Blood Flow? Good blood flow is essential for proper brain function and oxygen transport to vital organs in the body. Because your heart is the pump that keeps your blood circulating, it's important to maintain a strong heart. Eating a diet rich in heart-healthy foods is one way to help ensure that your body experiences efficient blood flow. Foods Containing L-Arginine L-arginine is an amino acid that your body converts to nitric oxide, a substance that helps relax and maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and arteries. Nitric oxide is also a signaling molecule that instructs arteries to dilate, or widen, which allows blood to flow more freely, helping reduce blood pressure and promoting cardiovascular health. According to Don Colbert, author of "The New Bible Cure for High Blood Pressure," good food sources of L-arginine include chicken, fish, soy nuts, beans, dairy and red meat. If you have high blood pressure, talk with your doctor before taking L-arginine supplements to ensure proper dosage for your condition. Vitamin E-Rich Foods Vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin, plays an important role in efficient blood flow because it dilates blood vessels. Eating foods rich in vitamin E is a good way to keep your blood moving, according to Sherry Torkos, author of "The Canadian Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine." Good food sources of vitamin E include nuts, seeds, whole grains and leafy green vegetables. If you're taking blood thinners, talk with your doctor before taking vitamin E supplements because they may increase the risk of bleeding. Foods Containing Omega-3 Fatty Acids Omega-3 fatty acids keep your blood flowing. People with blood-circulation problems such as varicose veins, for example, benefit by eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids because these unsaturated fatty acids stimulate blood flow and help break down fibrin, or blood clots, according to Shubhangini Joshi, author of "Nutrition and Dietetics." Good food sources of omega-3 fatty acids include nuts, olive oil, canola oil, flax seeds and oily fish such as salmon, tuna, sardines and herring.

Our diets of course have a great impact on our immune system health. Some foods are packed with nutrients that help immune system functions whereas others can actually decrease its power to fight back in case we get ill. Stay tuned cause in this video, we are going to mention the top 8 ways to boost your system naturally. No 1: Eat antioxidant foods. Antioxidants are nutrients that help control and repair the damage of free radicals in our bodies. These could be vitamins like A, C, and E as well as minerals like Zinc, Selenium, and Potassium. Some good antioxidant food sources to take are berries, broccoli, cauliflower, nuts, seeds, citrus fruit, pineapples, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, seafood and corn. No 2: Take more zinc. Zinc is a mineral that acts as an enzyme factor in white blood cells. When there is a deficiency of zinc in your system, your immune system will tend to become weaker. Some good food sources of zinc are meat, fish, and dairy products. You can also take a zinc supplement but do so under the supervision of your doctor. No 3: Sleep adequately. When you don’t sleep enough, your system doesn’t release enough hormones to help regenerate your system and your immune system’s function is weakened. No 4: Get yourself out in the sun. Sun can be damaging for your skin if you don’t protect yourself but mild sun exposure helps release vitamin D in your body which is quite beneficial for your immune system and puts you in a great mood as well. Just 15 minutes are enough to get a healthy dose of sun and reap its benefits. No 5: Eat more garlic. Yes, eating garlic will make your breath smell but you’ll be surprised to learn that it has multiple benefits for your health. This flavorful and robust her can both boost your immune system and clear circulatory issues for better heart health, according to a study conducted at the University of Maryland Medical Centre. No 6: Quit smoking. You’ve heard it a million times before and you’ll hear at again--smoking is bad for you, period. It wreaks havoc to your internal organs and weakens your immune system because it blocks sufficient oxygen from being delivered to your body cells. Additionally, it contains carcinogenic substances which dramatically raise risk of developing cancer and make your immune system too weak to react. No 7: Control your alcohol intake. Alcohol is another harmful substance you should avoid because once it enters your system, it causes all sorts of harmful chemical reactions and even kills your white cells, the cells responsible for fighting illness and infections. Not only that, it interferes with the absorption of vitamins and minerals necessary for a healthy white cell count. No 8: Laugh with your heart. They say laughter is the best medicine and there is a point to that. It beats stress, keeps your heart racing, and strengthens the energy of your immune system so it can fight back illnesses more effectively. So don’t forget to laugh and spread laughter--it’s contagious. Music: Happy Acoustic Summer Fun - DmytroIgnatov licensed from audiojungle https://goo.gl/K3skc7

How To Increase Blood Flow To Hands And Fingers

07:17
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow and circulation in only 30 days - NO drugs or diets: ►http://drsam.co/yt/ImproveBloodCirculationNaturally =============================================== How To Improve Blood Flow & Circulation To Your Hands & Fingers =============================================== When someone speaks about poor blood flow, they typically think about their legs and feet... However, hands are also very common and I personally had issues with this myself a few years ago. For me, it was always cold hands and I hated it because I never wanted to touch anyone or shake someone’s hands. Of course, I’ve since fixed this problem and I’ll show you what I’ve done in a minute. Causes One cause of poor blood flow to your hands would be carpal tunnel syndrome, which is more typical these days because everyone is on their computer or phones. Another cause would be that your back isn’t aligned well and you need a chiropractic adjustment or a massage to relax the muscles around your spine and neck. Again, this is more prevalent these days because we’re sitting so long, hunched over the computer with poor posture. Finally, another major reason for poor blood flow would be because inflammation... Which requires an anti-inflammatory diet and anti-inflammatory supplements, herbs and vitamins. It’s VERY IMPORTANT to know that poor blood flow and circulation is one of the primary causes of a heart attack or stroke. This is because it can lead to: -Hypertension and high blood pressure -Hardening and narrowing of your arteries -Higher cholesterol and plaque build up So whether you feel it in your hands or your feet, it’s a WARNING SIGN that you MUST improve your blood flow and circulation. SOLUTIONS So let’s continue and I’ll quickly reveal one of the 3 best solutions for improving blood flow and circulation to your hands Hand Squeezing/Gripping This is for strengthening your grip and your hand muscles, while increasing blood flow. Grab anything you can squeeze… this can be something “soft”, such as rolled up socks. Or something a lot firmer like a tennis ball. If you’re weak, start with something softer and build up to a firmer tennis ball as you gain strength. You should squeeze the object, then HOLD for at least 1-2 seconds, then release. That’s ONE repetition. Do at least 10 repetitions and work up to 20-30 reps… or until you feel a good burn in your hands. That’s ONE set. Then back to the original hand. Better to start with your STRONGER hand. You should do 2-3 sets of at least 15 or more repetitions, 3x weekly on alternate days. Such as Mon, Wed and Fri. Remember, you need to squeeze and HOLD to really FEEL the muscles contract and increase blood flow and muscle contractions to the area. After you're done, massage and stretch your hands and forearms. Wrist Curls Now we want to strengthen your wrist and your forearm muscles. To do this, you’ll do wrist curls and reverse wrist curls. To do a wrist curl, you’ll need a light dumbbell and slowly curl the weight from the bottom to the top. You can put your forearms on your leg, on a bench or anything stable. Do 3 sets of 15-25 repetitions, 3x weekly. And then you’ll also want to do reverse wrist curls for the top of your forearms. Same idea, but going the opposite direction. Again, 3 sets of 15-25 repetitions, 3x weekly. Just like the hand squeezing/gripping exercise, do these on alternate days … But this time, let’s do it on OTHER days -- Tues/Thurs/Sat if possible. This way we are exercising your hands and forearms every day. However, if that’s not possible, just do them all on the same days as the gripping exercise -- Mon/Wed/Fri Walking Even though this video is about blood flow to your hands, your BODY as a WHOLE requires better circulation... And I think walking is one of the best exercises you can do and almost anyone can do it, any where, any time of the day and it doesn’t cost you anything. Ideally you would walk outside in fresh air if possible. First thing morning and/or late evening are good times but, whenever you can is a better than nothing. Try your best to walk just a little bit every single day. One of the most common health complaints today often revolve around having too little energy. 10 Best Supplements For Energy That Actually Work 1. Iodine Hormones regulate metabolism and initiate the release of the many biochemicals associated with energy creation. The best dietary sources of iodine include seafood, sea vegetables (dulse seaweed, arame, kombu, and wakame), and dark leafy greens. Iodine supplements can also be taken. 2. Vitamin B12 Every cell in the human body requires B12 for energy metabolism. In fact, the entire cellular energy creation, known as the Citric Acid cycle or Kreb’s cycle, depends on it. Unfortunately, the human body cannot create B12 on its own, requiring it from dietary sources. Clams, mussels, red meat, and dairy are the best natural sources of B12. Supplementing with B12 is safe as no side effects or upper dietary limit exists. 3. Melatonin The hormone melatonin directly influences energy metabolism. Individuals with inadequate melatonin levels suffer from fatigue and accelerated brain ageing. Research also indicates melatonin levels impact gene activation and the effects of genes on health. If sleep is inconsistent, a melatonin imbalance may occur which can disrupt energy levels, blood sugar, and even weight. 4. Ginkgo Biloba Ginkgo has long-been known for its powerful antioxidant activity and for improving blood flow. This normalises metabolic activity at the cellular level, protecting the cells and promoting health and longevity. When looking for supplements, look for those with the fewest fillers. 5. CoQ10 Coenzyme Q10 plays a vital role in the process of cellular energy creation. Every cell in the body contains CoQ10, although organs like the heart, kidneys, and liver have higher concentrations. 6. Acetyl L-Carnitine Another biochemical necessary for energy metabolism, L-carnitine transports fatty acids into the mitochondria for conversion into energy. Acetyl groups also play an integral role in mitochondrial energy creation. 7. Magnesium A healthy heart, an active brain, and proper muscle and nerve function are only a few of the (many) benefits of magnesium. The highest dietary sources of magnesium include raw spinach, pumpkin seeds, almonds, sesame seeds, beans, avocados, and quinoa. Supplementation can also help raise magnesium levels. 8.Ginseng This well-known herb acts as an adaptogen, supporting the body’s natural response to stress, anxiety, and physical exertion. A recent double-blind, placebo-controlled study tested the effect of ginseng with patients suffering from chronic fatigue. The researchers found patients taking the ginseng experienced significantly greater improvement in cognitive function and had lower levels of toxins and free radicals in their blood. Overall, the patients experienced increased energy. 9. Rhodiola This adaptogenic root, also known as arctic root or golden root, can significantly reduce the way the body responds to stress, both mentally and physically. When taken regularly, Rhodiola may actually improve physical performance and reduce fatigue, improve cognitive function and boost the mood as well. 10. A Quality B- Complex Vitamin The B-Vitamins are important for a healthy body which can withstand periods of stress and tiredness. B-Vitamin Complex is (as the name suggests) a complete combination of everything you need, all in one dose. Reduce Carb Consumption While they do provide your body with energy, foods heavy in carbohydrates can leave you feeling sluggish.

Follow us on Twitter: @foods4health1 Recipes4Health: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2bZhXBHIb51n1fE3VWPmcQ/videos To learn more about the health benefits of food, visit: http://www.benefitsoffood.blogspot.com Strawberries are a very popular fruit that are consumed around the world, especially in the warmer summer months. They are especially popular for their sweet and pleasant taste and can be consumed raw, added to your smoothies or used in baking, which makes them versatile in use. In addition to their great taste, strawberries are also very nutritious. They contain many different types of vitamins and minerals and provide amazing health benefits. Lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits of consuming strawberries consistently. 1. First, strawberries are loaded with healthy nutrition for our bodies. They contain many different types of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. This includes vitamin C, folate, potassium, manganese, vitamin K and magnesium. As well, strawberries are high in dietary fibre and contain many different types of antioxidant compounds. Even better, strawberries are low in calories. 2. Strawberries can also help to improve the overall health of our eyes due to the amazing antioxidant compounds they contain. Not only can they help prevent macular degeneration, but they can also help to prevent certain infections and dry eyes. This is largely attributed to antioxidant compounds such as ellagic acid, flavonoids and other phytochemicals that can help eliminate free radicals in the body that can cause damage to our eyes and vision. 3. Strawberries can also improve heart health and heart function due to the many great antioxidants they contain. They are high in heart healthy antioxidants such as quercetin, catechins, kaempferol and anthocyanins. These compounds help to reduce both total cholesterol and “bad” LDL cholesterol levels in the body while also helping too improve the health of our blood vessels. As well, their high vitamin C, folate and fibre content can help to reduce the risk of heart disease. 4. Surprising to some, but regular consumption of strawberries can also help to improve the health of our skin and have anti-aging effects. This is because they contain a number of compounds that can improve the heath of our skin, such as alpha hydroxy acid and ellagic acid. Also, the high vitamin C content in strawberries can help to boost the production of collagen, which works to tone the skin and reduce the signs of aging. 5. Strawberries can help to boost the overall health and function of our immune system. This is largely attributed to the high levels of vitamin C found in strawberries, as well as the numerous antioxidant compounds they contain. This allows strawberries to help fight certain diseases and infections, such as common cold and flu, while also naturally boosting our energy levels. 6. Lastly, regular consumption of strawberries can help to boost the health of our brain and improve brain function. This is largely attributed to the nutrients found in them, such as vitamin C, potassium and other phytochemicals. These nutrients can help to maintain the proper functioning of our nervous system. The potassium found in strawberries can be especially helpful in this regard as it can help improve blood flow to the brain. As well, the high amounts of anthocyanins, flavonoids and antioxidants may help to prevent cognitive decline. Vitamin B1 - Thiamine Thiamine is the leader of the B vitamins. Referred to as B1, thiamine is a water-soluble vitamin. Its primary function is to convert carbohydrates into energy and aid the heart, muscles and nerves function appropriately. Vitamin B2 - Riboflavin. Also known as vitamin B2, riboflavin builds body tissues, helps maintain vision and controls metabolic activities in the body. Riboflavin in the heart, liver and kidneys protects cells from oxygen damage and promotes energy production in the cells Riboflavin collaborates with enzymes to transform the amino acid tryptophan into vitamin B3, or niacin. Vitamin B3 - Niacin. Niacin belongs to the powerhouse B vitamins. Also called vitamin B3, niacin helps regulate digestion, metabolism and the nervous system. 6 Foods That Naturally Cleanse the Liver

04:41
We are all consuming lots of processed foods on a daily basis. Then there is the environmental pollution. We intake so much preservatives and additives on a daily basis. All this makes it crucial that our body be given a boost from time to time so that it keeps working properly and remains healthy. Our liver plays one of the most important roles in eliminating toxins from our body. Without the liver, your body will not be able to absorb nutrients from foods. In order to flush toxins out of your body and detox your liver, you should ensure that you include into your regular diet these 6 good foods for your liver. Garlic Garlic is loaded with so many powerful benefits for your liver. It has selenium in it, a mineral that helps boost antioxidant action which is great for detoxification of liver. The vitamin B6 in garlic works as an anti-inflammatory in your liver. The arginine in garlic, which is an amino acid, helps in giving relaxation to the blood vessels. This helps in easing blood pressure within your liver. Grapefruit How grapefruit works to help your liver is that it contains high amounts of vitamin C and glutathione. The liver also produces glutathione naturally. There are so many processes in our body that require glutathione. This includes producing proteins and chemicals essential for the body, tissue building and repair, and making a stronger immune system. Leafy Green Veggies Leafy green vegetables can help in protecting your liver, as they neutralize chemicals, metals and pesticides from the environment and your foods. You should take more spinach, chicory and arugula because they can help in increasing bile flow and eliminating waste products. You should also take beets because they help in cleansing and purifying your blood. This helps in boosting liver function and increases the production of nutrients in your body. You should also take cruciferous vegetables like Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli. They are beneficial for the liver in the production of enzymes that aid in removing toxins. Avocados Avocado is well known as a superfood. When you realize that it is also a superfood for your liver, you will have more reasons to eat it. Avocado has glutathione, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These nutrients work as antioxidants that help in neutralizing harmful free radicals and in protecting liver cells against damage. Both vitamin E and K present in this fruit further help in protecting your liver against harmful inflammation because they are anti-inflammatory. They have healthy fats that further help in improving your cholesterol levels. Walnuts You should be taking more walnuts because they are rich in amino acid arginine. It plays an important role in helping your liver in the detoxification of ammonia. Besides, walnuts also contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids and glutathione. They support liver detoxification. They are loaded with antioxidants, thus helping in the neutralization of harmful free radicals. They also have healthy unsaturated fats which help in two main ways: Protecting from the accumulation of fat in your liver. Development of strong cell membranes around the liver cells. Turmeric Turmeric contains curcumin as its primary active ingredient. It is known as a very powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. This ingredient also helps in protecting your bile duct. This helps in boosting bile flow, thus working as a liver cleanser. It also helps in rejuvenating your liver cells through the prevention of alcohol and toxins from converting into compounds that could cause damage to your liver. When you sprinkle some turmeric over your food, it helps in adding little flavor while giving its amazing health benefits. Purify Your Kidneys, Liver and Pancreas Using Only One Ingredient

02:06
You’re not going to spend a fortune nor a lot of time making this homemade remedy. It’s fantastic, because it helps improve the health of such organs as the kidneys, liver, and pancreas. One of the ingredients of this remedy is coriander, which is powerful and rich in medicinal properties. We’re talking about a common ingredient in salads and spice mixtures. Notice some of its benefits: An excellent diuretic; Stimulates liver function; Improves digestion; Can cure diarrhea, because it’s excellent at the removal of bacteria and treating of infections; Lowers cholesterol levels; Cures canker sores with its antimicrobial and antiseptic properties; Reduces blood sugar; Eliminates pink eye; Improves vision and prevents ocular diseases. Now that we’ve told you about the advantages of one of the ingredients, coriander, let’s look at the recipe: Ingredients - 1/2 cup of chopped coriander (not too small; use the stalk too); - 1/2 cup of chopped parsley (not too small; use the stalk too); - 300 ml of water. Instructions Place the coriander and the parsley in a pan and cover them with water. Cook uncovered for ten minutes — the time that it takes to eliminate the chlorophyll. After ten minutes have passed, remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool. Drinking one cup daily is enough to eliminate toxins and purify your body. Now that you know how powerful coriander and parsley can be, be sure to add these ingredients frequently to your diet. Nitric Oxide Supplements: Do They Work?

Do Nitric Oxide Supplements actually work as claimed? You might be surprised! These supplements are incredibly popular and sell by the truck loads. Some of the things we’re going to discuss… What are nitric oxide supplements? How Do They Work? Why Should We Care? What do the advertisers claim that they do, and do they actually do it? Should you take one? Alright, so what are nitric oxide supplements? Any supplement that contains either arginine, agmatine or citrulline is technically a nitric oxide supplement since all affect the production of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide is gas that plays all sorts of roles in the body, but the one we’re most interested in is vasodilation - Vasodilation simply means it makes your blood vessels expand - that’s what leads to the muscle pump these products are so famous for. Just an aside: nitric oxide supplements can also used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, but I will talk about that in different video. Now most of the time when people refer to nitric oxide supplements they’re referring to pre-workout supplements because these products often contain a hearty dose of one or more of the 3 main ingredients we’re going to discuss. Pre-workout supplements if you’re not familiar with them, are designed to be taken prior to a workout and contain a number of ingredients designed to boost the efficiency of it. In general, nitric oxide supplements only make up a portion of these product’s formulas, but that’s the portion we’re going to talk about today. How Do They Work? Let’s discuss the three primary NO supplements. Arginine The most common nitric oxide suppplement, Arginine is an amino acid which converted into nitric oxide by an enzyme – a family of enzymes actually - called nitric oxide synthases. Simple, right? You consume arginine in your preworkout supplement, the nitric oxide synthase guys come along and break it down, and you’ve got nitric oxide and an awesome pump. Citrulline Citrulline is an amino acid that our bodies regularly convert into arginine in something called the urea cycle. You don’t really need to worry about the urea cycle and how it works. All you need to know is that citrulline is easily converted into arginine in the body. Although arginine is the most common nitric oxide supplement, citrulline might actually be a better choice. Why? Because the more arginine you take and the more often you take it, the less effective it becomes at boosting nitric oxide. This is due to the ramping up of yet another enzyme – called arginase - whose job also is to break down arginine. Remember those nitric oxide synthase guys? The enzyme guys who break arginine down into nitric oxide? They are not the only enzymes which act upon arginine. And when this other enzyme arginase breaks down arginine, it means there`s less arginine available to be converted to NO. The reason why citrulline may be a preferred alternative to arginine for boosting NO is that Citrulline actually inhibits the activity of arginase, and because it`s easily converted to arginine itself, it ultimately bypasses this enzyme problem and gives us more NO. If this doesn`t make sense to you, don`t worry about it to much – all you really need to know is that citrulline may be superior to arginine as a nitric oxide supplement. Agamatine Agmatine is a relatively new addition to “pump” products and is not, as you may have heard, a nitric oxide precursor – it does not work in an identical manner to arginine – which I have seen argued. That’s simply not correct. However, it seems to affect NO production in other ways. I’m going to talk more about agmatine in a separate video, simply because it’s so new and there’s really no published data on it from sports performance perspective. Based on tesimonials and anecdotal feedback, it does seem to work. Why Should You Care About NO? The reason why we anyone who lifts weights interested in nitric oxide is because it enhances blood flow. Better blood flow delivers additional nutrients to muscles, lessens inflammation, and leads to that pump – the feeling of your muscles being absolutely engorged with blood – that awesome feeling knowing as the pump. How to Increase Nitric Oxide Naturally: The Science of N02- Thomas DeLauer

Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Get Antler Farms Organic Beet Root Here: https://www.antlerfarms.com/organic-new-zealand-beet-root.htm Website: http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com How to Increase Nitric Oxide Naturally: The Science of N02- Thomas DeLauer… Overview and Benefits: Nitric oxide is a key signaling molecule throughout the body that is produced by the endothelial cells lining the arteries - it penetrates the underlying smooth muscles and acts as a potent vasodilator that relaxes the arteries. It also keeps the endothelium in shape by curbing inflammation and oxidative stress – it is made by macrophages, which are a type of white blood cell in our immune system. The NO kills bacteria and inhibits the replication of viruses. Boosting nitric oxide is extraordinarily good at preventing cardiovascular disease, as it relaxes arterial walls, dilates the vessels, and improves the flow of blood. NO improves brain functioning and reduces cognitive decline, due to the fact that it greatly enhances blood flow to the brain and functions as a secondary neurotransmitter between nerve cells. Boosting nitric oxide levels can greatly improve the effectiveness of your workouts, due to the fact that your muscles will receive more oxygen and nutrients when your veins are dilated and circulation is enhanced. For the same reason, NO also shortens recovery time (1) Nitric Oxide and Less Oxygen: Nitric oxide is thought to modulate respiration due to in vitro studies suggesting it is a reversible inhibitor of cytochrome c oxidase. - Cytochrome blocks the respiratory chain - Nitric Oxide inhibits/reverses the cytochromes - If respiratory chain is blocked, then nutrients aren’t getting through - Therefore oxygen and other nutrients are able to get through https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8194600 Consuming foods high in nitrate (which converts to nitric oxide) have been shown to lessen the amount of oxygen needed during exercise enabling individuals to exercise longer. (2) 2 Best Ways Increase Nitric Oxide Naturally: Foods like Beets and Citrus- Beetroot is loaded with nitrates. There are plenty of studies that confirm this food as a vasodilator, which lowers blood pressure. Also, beets are an excellent source of antioxidants and contain betalains, which are anti-inflammatory. Oranges, lemons, and grapefruit contain high amounts of vitamin C, which has been shown to protect your precious nitric oxide molecules from free radical damage. Vitamin C from any source raises levels of nitric oxide synthase, the enzyme that converts L-arginine into nitric oxide. Vitamin C is also a co-factor in reducing dietary nitrite to nitric oxide. Watermelon is loaded with the amino acid, L-citrulline, which gets converted into L-arginine and ultimately nitric oxide. So many people reach for L-arginine supplements, but the body does not absorb it well. L-citrulline is easy absorbed. For more info: https://draxe.com/omega-3-benefits-plus-top-10-omega-3-foods-list/ In today’s video, I want to talk to you about the benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial to your diet even though about 95% of Americans aren’t getting enough Omega-3s in their diet. There are two types of fats you want to keep balanced in your body, Omega-3 and Omega-6. Benefits of Omega-3s are reducing inflammation, reducing risk of heart disease, reducing risk of cancer, helping with athletic performance and recovery, weight loss, improving brain function, and more! Typically, too many people have more Omega-6 fatty acids in their body, causing inflammation. In an anti-inflammatory diet, you should be consuming a lot of Omega-3-rich foods like grass-fed beef and bison, free-range eggs, wild-caught fish, chia and flax seeds, and a quality omega-3 supplement or cod liver oil. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. 8 Amazing Turnips Benefits

09:12
8 Amazing Turnips Benefits Turnips may not be the most impressive vegetable in the market, but there are many different health benefits associated with them, including their ability to improve bone health, boost the immune system, prevent cancer, reduce inflammation, protect heart health, regulate metabolism, increase circulation, and optimize digestion. A turnip is a white-skinned root vegetable that has become globally popular both for human consumption and livestock feed. Scientifically known as Brassica rapa, turnips are commonly grown in temperate areas across the globe, and is cultivated for the nutritional value and taste of the root. Turnip greens are also consumed in some parts of the world as a cruciferous vegetable, and there is a slightly different nutrient profile between the leaves and the root. These leaves, however, are often bitter and must be boiled down to be palatable, much like mustard greens. Turnips have also been known as an important part of the human diet for the better part of two thousand years. Countries from Brazil, England and Japan to Iran, the United States and Norway all have their own culinary takes on turnips, and have made them a mainstay in their cultural meals for centuries. Turnips are not only excellent at soaking up flavor and adding a hearty element to your meals and stews, but the root vegetable also possesses high levels of important nutrients and minerals that the body requires to function properly. Turnip is rich in calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and magnesium. Amongst vitamins it contains vitamin C, folate and niacin. This vegetable is high in fiber and also low in calories and typically inexpensive, making it a logical choice for inclusion in any healthy diet. Health Benefits of Turnips Benefits of turnips are many and the use of this vegetable helps to boost heart health, immune system and prevent cancer. Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the many health benefits in detail. Heart Health: Turnips have a number of essential nutrients that our bodies need for their proper function, including high levels of potassium and fiber. Potassium is able to function as a vasodilator, helping to reduce the strain on our blood vessels and arteries by lowering blood pressure. This can prevent the development of atherosclerosis, as well as heart attacks and strokes. Dietary fiber, on the other hand, is excellent for scraping excess cholesterol from the heart and eliminating it from the body. Digestive Efficiency: Most people are aware that dietary fiber is particularly important in the digestive process. It can help to clear up symptoms like constipation, diarrhea, cramping and bloating, as well as more serious gastric issues that can occasionally arise. Fiber can help to bulk up stool and move it through the gut, while also promoting more efficient uptake of nutrients so we get the most from our food! Circulation: The significant level of iron found in turnips makes them an asset if you suffer from low blood cell count or anemia. Iron is required in the formation of RBC, which are needed by the body to oxygenate, repair and run the body’s organ systems. Therefore, more iron means better circulation to every extremity of the body. Immune System: Vitamin C is also present in large quantities within turnips, and ascorbic acid is one of the most important boosters for our immune system. Vitamin C can stimulate the production of white blood cells and antibodies, in addition to acting as an antioxidant and reducing chronic health concerns, including cancer and heart disease. Bone Strength: Calcium is found in high concentrations within turnips, and can help aid in the growth and repair of bone matter throughout our body. Calcium is essential in boosting bone mineral density, especially as we grow older and begin to suffer through arthritis and osteoporosis. If you want to add some strength and durability to your bones, add calcium-rich turnips to your diet! Cancer Prevention: Aside from vitamin C, turnips also provide considerable levels of vitamin E, manganese and beta-carotene, all of which can function as antioxidants within the body, seeking out and neutralizing free radicals before they can induce further cell mutation or drive the spread of cancer. Antioxidants like those found in turnips help to prevent chronic health conditions over the long term, and should always be considered an important part of your daily and weekly diet. Anti-inflammatory Properties: Those turnip greens that we mentioned as being bitter and difficult to swallow, per se, are also packed with beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin K, which is important if you suffer from any inflammatory conditions. These “good” fats can lower inflammation, balance cholesterol levels, and promote overall wellness in the body, so boil down those leaves and enjoy the benefits, particularly if you suffer from gout, arthritis or chronic pain.

Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about Heart Health. Some Proven Nutrition and Lifestyle Tips to Boost It. Also don't forget to subscribe for more tips in the future! But back to our topic. A revealing discovery was made In the middle of the 17th century. An Englishman named Harvey discovered that the job of the heart is to pump the blood throughout the body, almost in a continuous circle - carrying food and other substances to all the cells, muscles, bones and skin. Indeed, the heart is an intricate and capable machine, composed almost entirely of muscle. There are some unique heart-loving foods and supplements that have proven themselves winners for increasing the health of the heart and blood vessels. These include fish, fish oil capsules, garlic, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and Co-enzyme Q10. Eating fish and/or taking fish oil supplements is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is a special type of fat that he body cannot make by itself and is vital to the health. In the Netherlands, eating a mere one ounce of fish daily was associated with 50% fewer deaths from coronary heart disease -- in other words, it cut the risk in half. In another study done in the UK, fish oil greatly improved the function of small arteries in patients with excess cholesterol in their blood. Garlic is a favorite plant for lowering cholesterol. It also inhibits blood clotting and reduces blood pressure (from Preventive Medicine). The best way to benefit from garlic is to eat it raw or cooked on a frequent basis. It is also beneficial in supplement form. Vitamin E and C are powerful health-giving vitamins. One study of 11,178 people, aged 67 to 105 years old, found very good results from combining vitamins E and C. Those who were taking vitamin E supplements at the beginning of the study had a 34% lower risk of death from heart disease than those who were not. The combination of vitamins E and C together created a total risk reduction of 53%. Coenzyme Q10 is another uniquely potent nutrient. It is found in every cell in the body. CoQ10 was first used by the Japanese to strengthen the heart muscle. In one study, treatment with Q10 four times a day for four weeks reduced the frequency of angina attacks (heart pain) by 53 percent and also increased the patient's exercise tolerance - all without any side effects (American Journal of Cardiology). As the heart is basically a muscle, its strength can be greatly increased with regular exercise and physical activity. One example is a study from the Journal of the American Medical Association where researchers learned that higher levels of physical fitness can prolong people's lives overall, mostly due to lowered rates of cardiovascular (heart) disease and cancer. Brisk walking is an excellent choice of exercise (one of the best), and so is stair-climbing, bicycling, swimming and various team sports. These are all very beneficial when done regularly. If you're just beginning an exercise program, take it slowly at first and build it up gradually. Keep your heart happily humming along by doing a variety of enjoyable exercises at your own pace and adding some heart-loving foods and supplements to your diet. That's it! Thank you. In fact, some even consider both lemons and garlic to be superfoods in their own right. When mixed together, the mixture becomes a nutritional and antioxidant powerhouse that can prevent disease and infections and treat unwanted body ailments. We will discuss how to easily create this mixture at the end of the video. Now, lets discuss some of the incredible health benefits of consuming lemon mixed with garlic. 1. First, consuming lemon and garlic will provide our bodies with many different vitamins, minerals and other important nutrients. Lemons are packed with nutrition, including vitamin C, niacin, vitamin B6, riboflavin, calcium, potassium and copper to name a few. They also contain disease fighting flavonoid antioxidants. Garlic is also well known for being very nutritious. It contains high levels of manganese, vitamin C, selenium, vitamin B6 and vitamin B1. It also contains a unique and potent compound known as allicin. 2. Regularly consuming this mixture can also help to fight common cold and flu symptoms while boosting our immune system. Lemons are very high in vitamin C, which specifically helps to boost our immune system. They can also help to treat cold, flu and fever symptoms. As well, lemons can help to treat and soothe respiratory disorders and infections, again due to their high levels of vitamin C. Garlic is also great for treating common cold and flu symptoms and is a great natural immune system booster. Studies have found that garlic can help to both prevent and reduce cold and flu symptoms. 3. This mixture is also incredibly heart healthy. Both lemons and garlic can help to promote the overall health of our heart many different ways. Lemons can help to control blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease. Lemon contains heart healthy minerals such as potassium, which is specifically helpful in controlling blood pressure. As well, lemons are great sources of antioxidants, which can reduce inflammation and free radicals in the body that can cause damage to the cardiovascular system and increase the risk of heart disease. Garlic is also great for heart health. The unique and active compounds in garlic can help to reduce blood pressure, reduce total and LDL cholesterol levels and lower the risk of heart disease. 4. Lemons and garlic can also help to boost cognitive function and help with the prevention of certain types of cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. This is attributed to the high amounts of free radical fighting antioxidants both of these foods contain. This allows lemons and garlic to prevent oxidative damage, which can negatively effect our cognitive function as we get older. Garlic specifically contains antioxidants that will support the body’s protective functions and mechanisms against unwanted oxidative stress and damage. Always discuss with your medical practitioner for further treatment and prevention methods in this regard. 5. Lastly, this mixture of lemons and garlic can help to boost energy naturally and even have benefits for those individuals who are following a workout routine or wanting to increase athletic performance. Lemons and lemon water is well known for naturally boosting energy levels as well as reducing stress levels, which can decrease our energy levels. This is largely attributed to the many different nutrients lemons contains. Garlic can also increase energy and boost athletic performance. Studies have found that individuals consuming garlic reduced their peak heart rate while improving their exercise capacity. To create this mixture, you will need a half cup of garlic, 2 large lemons and 16 ounces of water. First, chop the lemons and garlic finely once washed. Add them to boiling water and boil for about 15 minutes on lower heart. Once this time has passed, remove from heat and let the mixture cool. Then store the liquid in a glass jar. Consume about 50ml each morning on an empty stomach before breakfast for a week for best results. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share.
