10 Ways To Prevent You From Breast Cancer At Naturally

17:57
10 Ways To Prevent You From Breast Cancer At Naturally Long before we get our first pimple, budding breasts remind us that we are girls in schooling. We like them, we hate them. We want them to grow bigger, we want they'd prevent developing, we wonder why this one is smaller/bigger/rounder/flatter than the other, why men are looking at them—and why they're now not. Irrespective of how conflicted we can be, breasts are part of our woman identity, which can be why, for most people, having breast most cancers is our largest fear. We are greater terrified of it than we're of heart disorder, that's 10 times much more likely to be what sends us to the brilliant beyond. But fewer girls get breast cancer, and less die from it, than ever earlier than. "most cancers isn't always an inevitability. Ladies have extra control over the ailment than they think," says margaret i. Cuomo, md, author of a world with out most cancers: the making of a new treatment and the actual promise of prevention. "the whole lot we do from the moment we wake—from what we consume and drink to whether or not or not we workout and avoid bpa, parabens, and different carcinogenic chemical substances—is a thing that can switch on or off the genetic switches in our bodies, such as ones that could result in cancer. The hazard of many cancers, which includes breast most cancers, can be substantially reduced with the aid of dwelling a healthy way of life." There are also new methods to improve your risk profile, together with turning into aware about the geography of your breasts and tracing your dad's own family history, no longer simply your mother's. You won't take away danger altogether; the most important threat for breast most cancers is being a lady. However you'll be able to dramatically shrink your chance of growing the disease. Right here's wherein to start. 1 1. Find out how dense you are One of the newest ways to shield your self is to learn whether or not you have dense breasts. When you have greater tissue than fats for your breasts—that is commonplace in more youthful women—it makes cancer more difficult to stumble on on a mammogram: both tumors and breast tissue show up white, while fats looks dark. Even more vital, having dense breasts makes your most cancers danger up to 6 instances higher. Specialists are not positive why that is, however one possibility is the reality that there's no standardization for size of breast density, so medical doctors' rankings are subjective. As of this beyond year, at least thirteen states (alabama, california, connecticut, hawaii, indiana, maryland, ny, north carolina, nevada, oregon, tennessee, texas and virginia) require clinics that perform mammograms to tell patients in their breast density rankings; states (utah and maine) permit voluntary notification and more states are anticipated to follow fit. Inside the period in-between, ask the radiologist who does your mammogram whether or not your breasts are dense. In case your density is low, you still want regular checkups. If it's excessive, there's not anything you may do to decrease it (though breast density does generally tend to decrease with age), but you can defend yourself by way of asking your medical doctor about including mri or ultrasound to your screening regimen, or switching from traditional mammography to digital, that's better in contrast, making it simpler to look abnormalities in dense breast tissue. Taxotere Lawsuits

04:18
Taxotere lawsuits are being filed against the drug company Sanofi-Aventis. The lawsuits allege that the manufacturer is being accused of failing to warn patients and medical staff that there was a risk of permanent hair loss (alopecia) with this chemotherapy drug. If you, or a loved one, have suffered Taxotere induced permanent alopecia you may be entitled to benefits and financial compensation. Contact our personal injury attorneys handling Taxotere lawsuits immediately to discuss your case. Women who have taken Taxotere for chemotherapy to treat their breast cancer are filing claims against Sanofi-Aventis. Lawsuits are being filed claiming: • Sanofi-Aventis failed to divulge that permanent hair loss was a side effect with taking Taxotere. • Sanofi-Aventis included warning labels outside of the U.S. that Taxotere might cause permanent hair loss. • Sanofi-Avenits knew that there was a cheaper drug called Taxol that was as effective as Taxotere and did not cause permanent hair loss. Taxotere (generic name: docetaxel) is a drug that is manufactured by a company called Sanofi-Aventis or Sanofi SA. Taxotere is a commonly used chemotherapy drug that has been used to help treat breast cancer, stomach cancers, prostate cancers, head and neck cancers and non-small cell cancers. Given through an IV (intravenously), it helps to block cancer cells and prevent their growth. Side Effects from Taking Taxotere The most devastating side effect from taking Taxotere is permanent hair loss, or alopecia. It's common that with chemotherapy drugs that there may be temporary hair loss, but Taxotere can cause permanent hair loss. Our team of mass tort attorneys handling Taxotere lawsuits have a long standing track record of successfully winning cases against pharmaceutical companies. We want to fight for you, your rights and get you the benefits and compensation you deserve. Whether you or a loved one took Taxotere and suffered permanent hair loss our Taxotere lawsuit attorneys can help. We are experienced and we are helping other Taxotere victims throughout the United States. Our consultation is free and filing a claim is free. We want to help you get the paperwork started so you can get the monetary compensation you deserve. As a cancer survivor, you've gone through enough trauma. Victims who have come forward are doing so because no one told them Taxotere caused permanent hair loss and that's because Sanofi-Aventis the manufacturer failed to divulge this permanent side effect. They knew about it because they put warning labels on Taxotere in other countries. Additionally, you or your family member didn't have to receive Taxotere. There are 2 other versions of the same chemotherapy medication: Docefrez and Docetaxel. There was another drug that was as effective that didn't cause permanent hair loss. Women all over the United States are standing up for themselves because they have rights and so do you. Let us help represent you against a drug company that has profited by over $3 billion with the use of Taxotere, while over 300,000 women have received Taxotere and many who have suffered permanent hair loss now only have wisps of hair or clumps of hair left. You can contact us now for a FREE consultation and to file your claim. Don't be afraid and don't be embarrassed. You have already suffered enough trauma and our team of attorneys is here to help you. When you contact us we will set up a free consultation and help you file a claim to cover your medical bills, pain and suffering, loss of vitality in life. Our experienced team of Taxotere lawyers is ready to help. One of the reasons that many women are coming forward with their lawsuits against Sanofi-Avenits is because the drug Taxotere causes permanent hair loss and there was a cheaper option that women weren't told about. Taxol. Taxotere (generic name: docetaxel) is an injection concentrate that is used as a chemotherapy treatment drug. In studying 20 patients, it was determined that despite them not having a history of alopecia (permanent hair loss) in their families, when they received the drug Taxotere for their breast cancer treatment, it was noted that there was no regrowth of hair to the scalp. Thyroid conditions and zinc deficiencies were also ruled out, as well as hair loss from hormonal menopause. Regardless of what state you were given Taxotere accident attorneys will fight for you as they serve all 50 states and Washington D.C. including: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia and Wisconsin.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — For the second time in three months, a St. Louis jury has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay a huge award over claims that its talcum powder causes cancer. The jury deliberated eight hours Monday before ordering the company to pay $55 million to a South Dakota woman who blamed her ovarian cancer on years of talcum powder use. In February, another St. Louis jury awarded $72 million to the family of an Alabama woman who died from ovarian cancer, which she said was caused by using Johnson & Johnson's baby powder and other talcum products. http://hosted2.ap.org/APDEFAULT/386c25518f464186bf7a2ac026580ce7/Article_2016-05-03-US--Talc%20Lawsuit-Verdict/id-9f678c267c4f4ea4b3b0d567c5cfba7c http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Business using http://wochit.com

Physical activity adherence after breast cancer diagnosis

52:12
Speaker: Laura Q. Rogers, MD, MPH, FACP, FACSM Professor, University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Nutrition Sciences Description: Physical activity adherence is of particular importance for breast cancer survivors because more physically active breast cancer survivors have a lower risk of breast cancer recurrence and mortality. Furthermore, national survivorship guidelines recommend that oncologists routinely advise their patients to engage in regular physical activity. Unfortunately, the majority of breast cancer survivors do not adhere to the recommended amounts of physical activity. I will discuss the current state of the science related to physical activity adherence in this population including strategies that have proven effective in randomized controlled trials. I will also discuss how this current scientific knowledge may be applicable to other chronic disease states and future research directions in the field.

University of Alabama at Birmingham Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center

06:23
Strategically located in the heart of the South, the UAB Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center provides a critical connection between investigators and vulnerable populations. Nowhere are such health gaps more evident than in the Mid-South, home to some of America’s poorest communities. These communities lack resources as basic as a clean environment, access to grocery stores, and safe streets. Their residents are exposed to multiple daily stressors and bear the heavy burden of chronic diseases. But the MHRC brings hope to these vulnerable populations. Using an interdisciplinary and collaborative research approach, we work to understand and address the root causes of health differences at national, regional and local levels. Leading this effort is the Mid-South Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center. This consortium of academic institutions in six states, led by UAB MHRC, works to lift the chronic disease burden borne by African Americans through innovative research, evidence-based interventions, and community partnerships. Closer to home is a project called Birmingham REACH for Better Health, with local agencies offering better food choices and fitness opportunities for Birmingham’s most vulnerable communities. Through REACH, thousands of our neighbors are joining us on the path to better health. Navigating health care systems is challenging, especially for patients who might not understanding chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer, or heart disease and how to manage them. For the women in Alabama’s rural Black Belt counties fighting breast cancer, UAB’s Patient Navigators help them overcome the challenges. These community health workers know the culture and challenges of the communities they serve and are uniquely suited to build bridges between patients and health care professionals. http://uab.edu/medicine/mhrc

Cancer Drugs Make Tumors More Aggressive: Infowars Nightly News

14:51
Guest Mike Adams of NaturalNews.com will discuss breakthrough research that suggests chemotherapy can be more dangerous than helpful, as findings show it can multiply the chances of tumors and the presence of cancer in patients. S. L. Baker http://www.infowars.com/ http://www.prisonplanet.tv/ January 19, 2012 When natural health advocates warn against mainstream medicine's arsenal of weapons used to fight cancer, including chemotherapy and radiation, their concerns often revolve around how these therapies can weaken and damage a person's body in numerous ways. But scientists are finding other reasons to question some of these therapies. It turns out that while chemotherapies may kill or shrink tumors in the short term, they may actually be causing malignancies to grow more deadly in the long term. For example, Natural News previously reported: (http://www.naturalnews.com/029042_cancer_cells_chemotherapy.html) that scientists at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cancer Center and UAB Department of Chemistry are currently investigating the very real possibility that dead cancer cells left over after chemotherapy spark cancer to spread to other parts of the body (metastasis). And now comes news that a little-explored specific cell type, the pericyte, found in what is called themicroenvironmentof a cancerous tumor actually may halt cancer progression and metastasis. And by destroying these cells, some anti-cancer therapies may inadvertently be making cancer more aggressive as well as likely to spread and kill. http://www.infowars.com/breaking-news-cancer-drugs-make-tumors-more-aggressive-and-deadly/

Firefighters Mow Lawn for Army Veteran After Taking Him to Hospital

01:33
Firefighters who answered a call did much more than take a patient to the hospital. Tommy Carter and Tim Kennedy of Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service in Alabama say the patient, an Army veteran, was having chest pains while mowing his lawn. Even though he was headed to the hospital, he was worried about the job he didn't get to finish. So the firefighters went back to the house and mowed the lawn for him. InsideEdition.com's Mara Montalbano (https://twitter.com/MaraMontalbano) has more.

You can “turn off” aggressive breast cancer genes and make tumors treatable by eating Brussel sprout

04:52
To your health, body and spirit - You can “turn off” aggressive breast cancer genes and make tumors treatable by eating Brussel sprouts and drinking green tea, according to new study A new study finds that eating brussel sprouts and drinking green tea can “turn off” aggressive breast cancer genes and make tumors treatable, as reported by The Daily Mail. The researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) conducted an experiment on laboratory rats with estrogen receptor (ER)-negative breast cancer. Trygve Tollefsbol and his team used epigenetics, the study of biological mechanisms that will switch genes on and off. (Related: Breast cancer cells controlled by lifestyle factors, plant nutrient combination and epigenetic changes.) “One way we can use epigenetics as a powerful tool to fight cancer is through compounds found in our everyday diet,” Tollefsbol, study author and professor from the UAB, said in an article by Nutrition Insight. He also said that one reason why some researchers avoid combining two or more compounds at a time for research on treatments is because of the fear of negative effects and unpredictable possible interactions.
