Elaine and her husband, Dr. Alex Sanchez developed Caregiver Help, an online support group program that focuses on helping people cope with the emotional stress of caregiving. They also help participants develop their own personalized caregiver survival plan.
Elaine K Sanchez is the author of the tender, gritty, and uproariously funny book, "Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver". Her keynotes and workshops are based on her own experience of caring for family elders, the real-life caregiving experiences of her mother, a Kansas farm wife, who cared for Elaine's dad for six-and-a-half years following his debilitating stroke, and on the journals of Dorothy Tucker, a nurse who worked in nursing homes and on Alzehimer's units for 30 years.
Elaine's program "Alzheimer's Survival Training" is approved by the NAB for 3.75 CEU's for nurses and long-term care administrators in most states. It is available online at www:/CEU's-R-EZ.com. When Elaine presents her program Creating a Caring Community, she can provide a certificate for 3.75 CEU's for nurses and long-term care administrators.
