How to make an RC flying wing
Let's build an airplane that has no definite fuselage. An RC flying wing, some people call it zagi wing but it's the same, these kind of aircraft are very unstable and need a special airfoil to help have a stable flight, so CG is critical as well to help, I struggled a bit balancing and experimenting with it and its stability, but in the end I managed to have a decent stable flight. Download the plans and templates here: http://joyplanes.com/go/planos-ala-v/ CG calculator: http://fwcg.3dzone.dk/ List of materials and tools: -Foam...You can use any kind of foam, if you use epp sheets then the building technic is different. -Epoxi glue. -Wood rods. -Balsa wood. -Colored tape or packaging tape. -All electronics (list and links below). -Foam cutter (make one at home). ******************************************************************** List of electronics you can use. Trainer RC plane Build Project
This was my first homemade rc aeroplane ever, scratch built with no plans at all...i simply decided to start cutting and gluing pieces of EPP foam toghether and after several weeks of work this is the final result :) the intention was to make something as close as possible to a trainer..so that it would not be very difficult to fly..as i'm a starter to this hobby :p

How to build foam RC plane cheap
The plane was cheap to build however the components do cost some money. I still tried to get inexpensive parts. As I haven't come out with a second video to show the parts I thought I would at least link them for now. ---- Things you might need/want for the build --- This is the Dremel kit that I have. Its a great kit! It includes the hot iron knife I was using in the video. https://amzn.to/2xrBaQb Or here is just the tool without the others. https://amzn.to/2NjIatp You will also need the butane https://amzn.to/2QAgz5b Simple hot glue gun https://amzn.to/2pduwJV -------------------Plane parts-------------------- These are the parts I ended up using. I did not show me attaching the ruder and elevator but that’s something you will cut out and add. At the end of the video you can see the rudder flopping around, in my next video I will show you how its added. If you don’t have a band saw you can do all this with a hacksaw however it will be more difficult. I spent lots and lots of time sanding this plane. Rc-Help Trainer Build Pt. 4 Building The Wing
Join Us On The Forum! http://Rc-Help.com/forum.php Like Us On Facebook! http://facebook.com/RcHelp Here is the 4th video in this series. In this video I show you how to create the wing. Like I have said before, there are NO spars in this wing. We are layering foam board together making it stronger than just a single sheet. I have had the same wing on the very first trainer I designed and built, and have even crashed it and pulled pretty high G's and nothing has ever happened to the wing. And now I have lights in the original wing lol. If you have any questions, make sure to come over to the forum and post up. Scratch built foam trainer rc plane - the "B-one"
This is one of the first of many r/c planes i have built in a quest to teach myself to fly. After having previously flown a couple store-bought planes when i was younger only to have them crash within 10 second of flight - i decided perhaps i would be better off trying to build one myself...Not because building one would make it fly better but more that if i crashed it at least i would know how to rebuild it or repair it. Since building my first plane 4 or so months ago (this plane), it has become an addiction. There is something rewarding about building something from scratch and seeing it actually work as it was intended to. Hence, the reason I am making this channel. About the plane: -46" wingspan -1050kv motor -25amp esc w/ bec -Turnigy 9x tx/rx -4 Turnigy 9g servos Overall, it flies pretty well and i am quite happy with it. It is primarily made out of poster board with the landing gear and motor mount consisting of plastic I cut out of a garbage bin. You may be wondering why it is called the "b-1".. well basically, the colour scheme of this plane was meant to be yellow and blue (like bananas in pyjamas) i just never got around to colouring it! The plane was also filmed on a winters morning in Bendigo, Vic. Side note: Sorry for the quality of the camera. I plan on putting up more, higher quality videos of my r/c planes in the future as well as little tips on how i built them etc. I'm not flying as much atm due to the bird mating season. They attack my planes like crazy and have already hit a few out of the sky. Perhaps, i will also film this if they are still doing this next time i fly :P! Anyways, thanks for watching. If you have any questions or want some plans etc, just message me :)

rc plane, home built foam airplane, cheap, 2.75 meter wingspan and crash
home foam airplane flew by Pixhawk, crashed, rebuild and flew again, success. I'M using 2.4ghz 5 watts for fpv. and RMILEC. 433mhz 5 watts for the radio control system. Both frequencies are going through the repeater. The plane did not have to trim, but it has a slight height gain. At one time the plane was circling while I was talking to someone, the airplane ascent right out of my sight.I had to bring the plane down by looking through the monitor (FPV.). I'M using 4 Batteries for the two motors, each battery is 10000MAH 22.2v and an other battery is 6500mah 11.1v for fpv,and control system. The plane seems flying for ever without draining a lot battery current.

John's EPP Sukhoi SU-29 Prototype 3D Foamie Stunts and Tricks - 3D Flying Foamy RC Plane
This is my buddy John's EPP Sukhoi SU-29 Prototype 3D Foamie RC Plane in full 3D Flying action at the edge of a berry field just outside of Lynden, Washington. John is my RC Flying mentor and is clearly the perfect man for the job. Look at the SU-29 aerobatics with this plane that should not be confused with the new Parkzone Sukhoi SU-29 RC Plane. Of course, it is no North American P-51 Mustang or a Vought F4U Corsair, but that is ok. This kind of flying should be appreciated by all RC Pilots IMHO, though I am not sure if it is 3D Foamy or 3D Foamie. John sells these, so leave a comment if you are interested in buying one. PS: This is also my 200th upload here on YouTube :)

The Simple Cub (formerly known as the Tubby Cubby) was designed to be built simply, flown simply, and basically be a ton of fun. There were a couple iconic planes this is designed after. The first is the ParkZone Super Cub LP, which is a staple for thousands of people in the hobby. Also, the Blu-Baby 24, which was a design featured on RCGroups.com. Both of these planes, however, are parts intensive. The Super Cub you can’t scratch build and the Blu-Baby is more of an advanced scratch build. Our desire with designing the FT Simple Cub was to make it as simple as possible—it only takes under an hour to build and is composed of only 11 pieces of foam board. The Simple Cub can be made a 3- or 4-channel airplane, so basically, the plane can grow with the pilot. The best part? It’s incredibly easy and simple (can you tell we like that word?) to fly! Even the most beginner pilot will have success flying the Simple Cub. Guess what? We also designed floats for you to take off on the water! Stay tuned for the FT Simple Cub design and floats design!

Backyard Slow Fly Foam Board RC Airplane
I needed an airplane to putt around the backyard with. It had to fly slow and turn quick. No plans, I just had an idea of what it should look like. It won't crash. It just bumps into things. Since this video was made I replaced the wood stick fuselage with a carbon fiber arrow shaft. 40 inch wingspan, 7 inch chord. Dollar Tree foam board with the paper peeled off. 27 inch wood stick fuselage. Bamboo skewer wing supports. 1504/2700KV motor. 10A ESC 5x3 propeller. 800mAh 2s battey.

I have to say, out of all of the trainers that I have flown, this one is the best. And I'm not saying that because it's my plans, I'm saying that because it's the truth. The novice will appreciate the massive amount of lift this wing has for slow flying and learning, and the experienced will appreciate a plane that will just fly. $5 RC Trainer
Main foam material =$5 + a little dollar tree foamboard and thin plywood + $10Blue Wonder Motor + $10 ESC +Radio System + 2 $5 9gram servos. Also hot glue and packaging tape and "music wire" (for push rod) I apologize that the title of the referenced video is misleading as the cost of materials in not $5. When I originally made it, I only had to buy a $5 sheet of foamboard and all the other materials I found laying around my parents house. The name has since sorta sunk in and I'm not sure I can undo it. I made the "$5 trainer" while on Christmas vacation at my families house home from college. I wanted to do a project with my little brother. I had been doing some rather tedious and complicated projects (chainsaw plane and I put an autopilot on my big flying wing but didn't make a video about that) and I wanted a break and to do a simple project to get back to my roots and demonstrate that you don't need to do a whole lot to make an airplane. Sorta confession: This plane flew pretty badly! It has come to my attention that many of you see my finished result and are discouraged. At first, this plane, even with my experience, flew pretty funny. But after some tuning, it flew like this. I stretched some layers of tape along the bottom length of the wing to prevent it from bending so much, I also needed to really shove the battery up to the front so that it balanced at 1/4 of the wing chord (distance from front to back of wing from the leading edge). It is my hope that this video inspires people to try and make an airplane themselves. Please ask questions! This was a fun, cheap, and easy build. To demonstrate the freedom of scratchbuilding RC Planes. I had my little brother cut out the fuselage and wing because he wants to learn and try stuff. Wing/foam was cut using my DIY Hotwire Foam Cutter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIxyyTnT-hM&list=UUcIbMAd5E6cOaJRuIliW9Lw But an even cheaper way to make a wing is to fold foamboard and use Ed's style from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=karr67ZYho4 Building materials =$5 + $10Blue Wonder Motor + $10 ESC +Radio System + 2 $5 9gram servos.

"Trainer One" Scratch Built RC Airplane Maiden Flight
Very first flight of a "Trainer One". A very easy to build and fly RC trainer. Made from Adams Readi-Board foam board with the paper peeled off and bamboo sticks (bbq skewers). Ready to fly weight is 6.1 ounces. I'm flying it one-handed for most of this video, giving small inputs to the rudder to change direction. Light breeze was at my back. It's a slow floater, ideal for learning or teaching to fly RC airplanes. This is not my design. How to build and plans can be found on RC Groups. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=383687

Build Your 1st Foam Board Airplane
Avro Vulcan Foam Build: This is my first model airplane built out of flat-foam board and the free plans were obtained from: http://www.modelaviation.com/avrovulcan. Building your own park-ready delta wing out of 6mm foam board is easy and you get to enjoy flying a model with a slightly scale look, plenty of power, and maneuverability that will inspire you to want to build more flat-foam models. Personal Modifications: All foam parts were covered in packing tape & edges sealed with aluminum tape; markings were printed on plain paper using a inkjet printer & glued on with puzzle glue; a Velcro strap was added to secure the battery; wing tips were used to serve as landing skids; & the motor mount was reinforced with plywood braces.

http://rc-help.com Hey everyone. I have had this plane sitting here at the house for a while now. I was short two servos to fly it though. Well, since I know that the trainer flies, I stole the servos from it, and stuck them in here. And man I'm glad that I did. To start off with, I didn't install the propjet motor. I didn't install it because I didn't own one lol. But, I do own dual 64mm EDF units, so I grabbed the exacto knife, and went to hacking. What you see in this video is the end result. I was worried about the ESC's and where they were located, and I was right to worry as you will see in the end of the video. But man, I have to give major props to those guys over at Rc Foam Fighters. They designed a GREAT airplane. This one will be going back up again once I move the ESC's around so they can get a little air. BTW, you can download the plans for FREE!!! -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Aomway Commander V1 Goggles Updated Version Discount Code" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k0qmq4Nq-E -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Rc-Help Trainer Plane (Name Needed)
http://rc-help.com Hello everyone. As most of you know, I get very bored at work. Well, I decided to take some pics of the Telemaster Trainer, and make a foamie out of it. As we all know, the Telemaster is one of the best trainers on the market. I have the actual kit, but I wanted to see what it would fly like before I put 40+ hours of work in the air and destroyed it. What came out of it is exactly what you see here. But, we need your help on naming it. I have made some things different on this plane, and I'm sure I'm going to change a lot more. But, we need a name. After I get a few submissions, I will create a thread at http://rc-help.com and create a poll so that we all can vote on it. Then, that name will go on the underside of the wing. So, post up your suggestions. If you would like to download these plans, click the link below. http://rc-help.com/showthread.php/644-Trainer-PDF-Plans -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Aomway Commander V1 Goggles Updated Version Discount Code" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k0qmq4Nq-E -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

$5 Trainer Build Techniques
FAQ's I used the standard small "9 gram" servos like I use on everything. I used a 2200mah 3s and a 3200mah 3s but It could carry a 1000mah or even a 4000mah. The motor was an eflight park 400 with 18 amp esc. but that motor is way expensive compared to the generic ones. Nosewheel mount/hing thing: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8432__Front_Wheel_Steering_Arm_Mount_Set_40mm_5sets_.html To learn more about the RC ELECTRONICS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j61Q3... "$5 Trainer" original video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKt6b... I apologize that the title of the referenced video is misleading as the cost of materials in not $5. I was surprised by how many people requested a build video, because I don't particularly like watching build videos, though there are interesting insights and tips, they are just long and I'd rather be making my ideas come to life (or actually working on my degree). But I didn't feel like rebuilding that same plane, partly because I don't still have that blue wonder motor but also because I would rather spend my time making new things. So this video is a new airplane design, but made with the same materials and techniques as were used on the "$5 Trainer." Hope I can inspire others and provide insights on my work flow. This is a fun method because you can make the fuselage have whatever cross section you want and make things look kind of scale. As opposed to a hollow square foam tube. I love to help people with questions so PM me or comment. here is a list of stuff someone made and it's probably pretty good Motor http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22418__NTM_Prop_Drive_Series_28_26A_1200kv_286w_AUS_Warehouse_.html Prop 8x6 prop for that motor Servo http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__662__HXT900_9g_1_6kg_12sec_Micro_Servo.html 3x http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__20959__30CM_Servo_Lead_Extention_JR_with_hook_26AWG_5pcs_bag_.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9690__JR_Y_Servo_Lead_30CM_Length_5pcs_bag_.html ESC http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__13429__HobbyKing_30A_BlueSeries_Brushless_Speed_Controller.html Radio http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__54822__OrangeRx_T_SIX_2_4GHz_DSM2_Compatible_6CH_Transmitter_w_10_Model_Memory_and_3_Pos_Switch_Mode_2_.html Receiver http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__92295__OrangeRx_R610V2_DSM2_Compatible_6CH_2_4GHz_Receiver_w_CPPM.html LiPo http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8934__Turnigy_2200mAh_3S_25C_Lipo_Pack.html Charger http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__58457__Turnigy_Accucell_6_50W_6A_Balancer_Charger_LiHV_Capable.html?strSearch=Turnigy%20Accucell-6 Power Supply http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25283__HobbyKing_105w_7A_Compact_Power_Supply_100v_240v_.html Stuff http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9572__Nylon_XT60_Connectors_Male_Female_5_pairs_GENUINE.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__76023__Turnigy_4mm_Heat_Shrink_Tube_1M_Red_.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9572__Nylon_XT60_Connectors_Male_Female_5_pairs_GENUINE.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__68__PolyMax_3_5mm_Gold_Connectors_10_PAIRS_20PC_.html also grab some 3mm prop adapters To see what I'm up to as it happens, follow me on https://www.instagram.com/sammsheperd/ If you feel like it supporting: https://www.patreon.com/samm_sheperd?... for monthly support https://www.youtube.com/nessfultude22 has fan funding enabled on the right side of the page Paypal email: sammshep@gmail.com

8' foamy scratch built pink insulation RC electric airplane
Here it is, a nicely built Pink foam giant airplane. It took me 3 days to build. The wing is 2 - 1" glue lam with 1/2" CF rib 6' made as one piece. It had a v shape to it but it soon went back to a straight wing. I used Gorilllilla Glue to bond most surfaces together and hot glue for the rest. This was constructed of ½" -- 2" Pink Poly styrene foam from Home Depot. $28 I'm using an Exceed .60 out runner 400Kv ($40) with a 4000 kvh LiPoly 5S 25c battery ($55) 80A Mystery ESC ($9) 16 x 12 prop. ($8) 4 Servos, can't remember name but there full size metal gear ($32) Motor cowling is a paint bucket from Lows ($2) rear landing gear ($12) rods, hinges, wheels ($23) Servo extensions ($14). Total price, $223.00 This might seem like I was just funning around flying. I was actually just trying to land it without a crash and burn. Best thing a bought this is the ability to crash it and glue it back together again in a few minutes. I have reconstructed the wings to the original V shape, Added a 110 Exceed motot and brought the CG up 2". It has much more fly-ability now. I will add new vids of it when the weather is more favorable.
