Merchandising course (shirt _pocket)

02:12
Merchandising is important work for a company. A skilled merchandiser can change a company position. In a garments factory merchandiser is most important parson. he have lot of knowledge about fabric, accessories, internet market price and good skilled in English. The annual cycle of merchandising differs between countries and even within them, particularly relating to cultural customs like holidays, and seasonal issues like climate and local sporting and recreation. Events such as Chinese festivals and Japanese festivals are incorporated in an annual cycle of shop decorations and merchandise promotion. In the United States, the basic retail cycle begins in early January with merchandise for Valentine's Day, which is not until mid-February. Presidents' Day sales are held shortly thereafter. Following this, Easter is the major holiday, while springtime clothing and garden-related merchandise is already arriving at stores, often as early as mid-winter (toward the beginning of this section, St. Patrick's Day merchandise, including green items and products pertaining to Irish culture, is also promoted). Mothers Day and Fathers Day are next, with graduation gifts (typically small consumer electronics like digital cameras) often being marketed as "dads and grads" in June (though most college semesters end in May; the grads portion usually refers to high school graduation, which ends one to two weeks after Father's Day in many U.S. states). Summer merchandise is next, including patriotic-themed products with the American flag, out by Memorial Day in preparation for Independence Day (with Flag Day in between). By July, back-to-school is on the shelves and autumn merchandise is already arriving, and at some arts and crafts stores, Christmas decorations. (Often, a Christmas in July celebration is held around this time.) The back-to-school market is promoted heavily in August, when there are no holidays to promote. By September, particularly after Labor Day, summer merchandise is on final closeout and overstock of school supplies is marked-down some as well, and Halloween (and often even more of the Christmas) merchandise is appearing. As the Halloween decorations and costumes dwindle in October, Christmas is already being pushed on consumers, and by the day after Halloween retailers are going full-force with advertising, even though the "official" season doesn't start until the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas clearance Sales begin even before Christmas at many retailers, though others begin on the day after Christmas and continue on at least until New Year's Day but sometimes as far out as February. Merchandising also varies within retail chains, where stores in places like Buffalo might carry snow blowers, while stores in Florida and southern California might instead carry beach clothing and barbecue grills all year. Coastal-area stores might carry water skiing equipment, while ones near mountain ranges would likely have snow skiing and snowboarding gear if there are ski areas nearby.Clothing (also called clothes) is fiber and textile material worn on the body. The wearing of clothing is mostly restricted to human beings and is a feature of nearly all human societies. The amount and type of clothing worn depends on physical, social and geographic considerations. Some clothing types can be gender specific. Physically, clothing serves many purposes: it can serve as protection from the elements, and can enhance safety during hazardous activities such as hiking and cooking. It protects the wearer from rough surfaces, rash-causing plants, insect bites, splinters, thorns and prickles by providing a barrier between the skin and the environment. Clothes can insulate against cold or hot conditions. Further, they can provide a hygienic barrier, keeping infectious and toxic materials away from the body. Clothing also provides protection from harmful UV radiation. When you are going to place an order for T-shirts or you are planning to start your own T-shirt brand or T-shirt manufacturing business, you try to find out what are the common fabrics used to make T-shirts. You might already know that T-shirt is majorly made of knitted fabrics. Within knitted fabrics there are variety of fabrics available in the market. So the most difficult thing is in knits fabrics what fabrics are for t-shirts. Mostly, T-shirt fabrics are made of 100% cotton yarns. Though polyester fabrics and spandex blended fabrics used for T-shirts. Fabric differentiation can be done in following ways. Like based on knits fabric structures, Fabric Patterns etc. Couple of images are shown in each fabric categories.Last week I posted one question set for you titled as '50 Short Questions for Merchandisers: Test Yourself where do You Stand'. Nice to meet you, I’m Heidi. I teach fashion designers like you the real world skills you *actually* need to learn to succeed in this cutthroat industry. (You know, all the stuff you don’t learn at fashion school.) I’ve worked as a contract designer for over a decade and run SuccessfulFashionDesigner.com. I’ve been able to make a healthy living doing work I love in fashion. But I got started just like you, one step at a time. It began with some embarrassing hand sewn dresses and fashion sketches that would make a 3-year-old’s artwork look like a masterpiece. Then, things changed. I learned how design was done on a large scale. I learned how to get things into production. And I learned all the skills I wish I knew when I was first starting out. Now, I dedicate most of my time teaching you all of that. This content is hard to find anywhere else (because in fashion, people keep secrets), so I decided to create it...and give most of it away for free. Want more than what you find on YouTube? DIOR Cruise 2019 Highlights Paris - Fasion Channel

03:18
DIOR Cruise 2019 Highlights Paris - Fasion Channel CHANTILLY, France — They say the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. You might include horses, too. Maria Grazia Chiuri decided to bring a dash of Latin American showmanship to the royal stables of the Domaine de Chantilly by kicking off her cruise show for Christian Dior on Friday night with a display by a team of female Mexican rodeo riders. But she got a little more drama than she bargained for, as a heavy rainstorm broke moments before the start of the show, dousing the models as they made their way around the semi-open venue. Wearing embroidered black-and-white dresses custom-made by Dior, a team of eight Mexican escaramuzas galloped out and started to perform their precision maneuvers. As they whipped through their high-speed horseback ballet, they brought to mind a gang of modern-day Annie Oakleys. Flared skirts in crisp light cotton, printed with muddy Toile de Jouy motifs or monochrome stripe patterns, were worn over cloudlike layers of tulle. Lace — a specialty of the region — appeared in endless variations, including as graphic inlays or dense ruffles on dresses worn with wide black leather belts and riding boots. While the spectacle ended up being even more surreal than she could have anticipated, watching the escaramuzas stand guard in the rain as the models marched past certainly was a lesson in female resilience. As their horses stopped to bow in front of Arnault, the crowd went wild. “That was fabulous,” exhaled celebrity stylist Brad Goreski. Holistic Life by Hindy Weber Tantoco & Melanie Go of Holy Carabao

47:29
SLOW FOOD NEGROS ISLAND SUMMIT 2015 They are both mothers Known for taking a biodynamic approach to farming, sustainability as its framework and a more holistic perspective, catch Hindy Weber Tantoco & Melanie Go as they talk about "The Holistic Life" at the Slow Food Negros Summit on November 27, 1:30 PM, at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol, Bacolod City. Hindy Weber Tantoco began her career in training under the tutelage of a New York-based artist where she worked closely with high profile clients in the hotel, restaurant, retail and entertainment business. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University and an Associate’s degree in Fashion Marketing & Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. In addition, she has acquired a number of certificates in short courses covering topics in such diverse interests ranging from biodynamic and organic agriculture, permaculture design, fashion design, art, curative education, movement therapies, and natural healing. In 2000, she joined the Rustan Group as exclusive in-house designer for the department store. By 2010, she helmed the design team for seven private labels in the infantswear, childrenswear, maternity, swimwear, and womenswear divisions. At Rustan’s, she was most recognized for being a comprehensive and hands-on designer who worked directly on planning, design, production, merchandising, marketing and display. She played a central role in the launch of popular brands U for the young adults, Culte Femme for women, and Kiddos for children. She has been a member of the country’s preeminent fashion group Fashion Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP) since 2003. At one point, she was also a contributing writer for The Philippine Star’s Lifestyle Section under acclaimed editor Millet Mananquil. Over the years, she has been featured in daily publications, magazines and TV programs for her work and personal interests. She has also given lectures at various schools and professional organizations on topics that range from fashion to farming to nutrition to her holistic lifestyle. After 10 years in the retail business, Hindy decided to take a year-long sabbatical and explore a new career path in fashion. She is now focused on her made-to-order business, focusing on formal and limited-edition collections. She also spends much of her time tending to her family’s needs at her idyllic farm in Laguna. In 2007, what began as an advocacy, grew into a fully-operational organic and biodynamic farm, called Holy Carabao Holistic Farms. It has a loyal clientele and is now one of the most-trusted organic and biodynamic food retailers in Manila. They pioneered door-to-door delivery of a la carte organic produce in Manila, and now distribute their produce at Rustan’s Marketplace and S&R, as well as in their own farmers’ market outlet in the Rockwell area. In 2012, Hindy launched Balik Bukid, a country festival to celebrate a back-to-basics, holistic lifestyle with an al-fresco shopping bazaar featuring local artisans, live homegrown music, farm-to-table food booths, ‘backyard’ games for the whole family, farm animal encounters, outdoor obstacle courses, art exhibits, and the country’s first Mud Dash race. Balik Bukid has attracted a following among many citydwellers, and is likely to increase its popularity as it further enhances its offerings. To sum up her work, Hindy cites three keywords that seem disparate at first but, in her hands, come together as one integrated whole: FOOD - FASHION - FAMILY.
