Shifting to a plant-based diet isn’t necessarily the solution to slow down further brain loss. Our largest organ, the skin will crack, itch and scale if we are not consuming enough vitamins – particularly, Vitamin E – in our daily meals. To alleviate some of these symptoms, try adding more fish, nuts and healthy oils to your diet. 2. BRITTLENESS OF THE HAIR AND/OR NAILS Similar to dry skin, brittle hair or nails usually indicates a nutrient or vitamin deficiency. Low levels of calcium and/or vitamin B can cause these areas to crack, dry, and scale. The solution is to include one or more of the following: whole-grain bread, whole grains, milk, legumes, or potatoes. 3. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF SODIUM OR SALTY FOODS Most minerals have a salty composition; so, when the body is craving salt-laden foods (e.g. potato chips, peanuts, dry meat, etc.), it is often an indication that additional mineral supplementation is needed. Also, craving salty foods may be a sign that there is inflammation or an infection somewhere in the body. 4. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF SUGARY FOODS Similar to other cravings on this list, the impulse to eat more sugar generally indicates a lack of proper dieting. However, be sure to include fresh cuts of meat or poultry, or some sort of substitute for vegans/vegetarians, to ward off such cravings and balance your diet. 7. PSORIASIS Similar to other manifestations of dry skin, the presence of scaling or psoriasis on the arms or elbows is indicative of insufficient vitamin and/or minerals. Vitamins A and C are common culprits. This in mind, try to include foods such as apricots, carrots, or oranges. 8. CRAMPING, POOR SLEEP OR INSOMNIA Of all symptoms, these three are often the most troublesome. Magnesium – a known inhibitor of neuronal activity, and potassium – an important nutrient for brain, heart and muscle health, can alleviate many of these ailments. Foods such as green and leafy vegetables, almonds, nuts, apricots, plums, bananas, and many others, can help suppress or eliminate such physical and psychological symptoms. 9. BLEEDING FROM THE MOUTH OR GUMS Bleeding from the mouth or gums often occurs because of a lack of vitamin C. However, ensuring the proper practice of oral care is essential as well. Hi guys welcome back to my channel. Today I am going to share with you guys on how to grow your nails really fast and long very easily in just 10 days. Ok so the process is divided into 2 simple steps. The first step is to make a nail soaking solution for which you will need Ingredients half a lemon 1 Teaspoon extra virgin Olive oil 1 teaspoon salt and half a bowl of warm water. Let me show you guys how to make it. Take half a bowl of warm water,not hot but warm water squeeze half a lemon into it and then add 1 teaspoon olive oil into it and finally add 1 teaspoon of salt as well. Stir the mixture very well. Keep this aside and now let’s make the cuticle oil which is our 2nd step. For this you will only need 2 simple ingredients that is 1 teaspoon olive oil 2 vitamin E capsules a clean container to store in the mixture. Take the clean container and fill it with 1 teaspoon olive oil and then cut open 2 vitamin E capsules and add it into the container as well. Mix everything together. You can keep this in room temperature for more than 3 months. Now it’s time to apply. I am going to take you all from Day 1 to Day 10 of my nail growth journey. Ok so let’s start with Day 1. You can see that my nails are really short. So basically What you need to do is just soak your nails in the soaking solution which we made earlier for around 30 mins. Also gently massage your nail while it’s in the solution. Lemon contains vitamin C that is essential for nail growth. Also, it helps treat yellow nails and gives your nails a nice shine. Salt softens cuticles and skin and strengthens nails. It also helps to to fight the bacteria preventing nail growth. So after 30 minutes just wipe your hands and fingers with a clean towel. You need not have to wash it off. Now comes the second step which is apply the cuticle oil. You can apply the apply using a bud or a cotton swab. I would say not to dip your fingers inside it as it can build up bacteria. Massage your nails very well in a circular motion for about 5 to 10 mins. To promote nail growth, it is essential to keep your nails well moisturized. Olive oil is the best when it comes to nail care. It penetrates deep into the skin and nails and thus helps nourish your nails. Plus, it contains vitamin E which improves blood circulation, helps repair damaged nails and promotes nail strength and growth. Vitamin E oil is known as a magical ingredient when it comes to nail growth. Vitamin E can help correct certain nail-growth disorders and problems, including yellow nail. The vitamin E oil will keep your cuticles healthy and moist if you use it properly. That’s all you need to do. Continue this 2 process every day for 10 days. But you will start seeing the results from Day 3 or 4 itself. let’s jump into day 4 now. You can see that by day 4 my nails have visibly grown. This is how effective the remedy is. So continue both the steps 1 by 1. Lets move on to Day 7. You can see that my nails have grown a lot more now. My nails look much healthier and whiter than before. You should never forget the cuticle oil. You can apply cuticle oil anytime or any number of times you can. You should always apply cuticle oil before going to bed. Massage for 10 mins everyday to improve blood circulation which in turn will promote nail growth. Now lets move on to the finale day, Day 10. I forgot to tell you guys one thing, Always prepare the soaking solution fresh. Never reuse the solution. Ok so now you can see how long my nails have grown in just 10 days. What the Color of Your Pee Says About Your Health. Your pee may not always be pale yellow. Sometimes that’s OK, sometimes it’s an issue. Red, pink or brown urine is the most concerning. If you have any concerns about the color of your urine, talk with your healthcare provider. You might be surprised to learn that, aside from the basic yellow hue, pee can actually come in a rainbow of colors some healthy, some not. Jonathan Harper, M.D., a urologist and UW Medicine's Chief of Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, explains what the spectrum of pee color can mean—and when the color of your pee might signal a serious health problem. 1. If your pee is Red or pink. Red or pink urine can be a sign of a mild or serious health issue. The big concern with any sort of pink or red urine is bleeding, called hematuria. This could signal an easy-to-treat urinary tract infection or kidney stone—or something more serious, such as urinary tract cancer. If there is obvious blood in the urine, you should contact a healthcare provider. Before you get too alarmed with any change of urine color, take note of what you’ve eaten. Beets and berries, especially blackberries, can stain your pee a light pink to crimson shade. 2. If your pee is Orange. It’s probably a safe side effect of a medication you’re taking. Phenazopyridine, a drug used to relieve symptoms of urinary pain and discomfort, contains a dye that could leave you thinking you drank too much orange fruit punch. Rifampin, which is used to treat tuberculosis, can also have this startling side effect. Carrots have been known to do the same. 3. If your pee is Pale yellow. Congrats, your pee is normal! Typically, if you’re well-hydrated, your urine will be a pale yellow hue. If it’s not on the pale side of yellow, it’s not something to be concerned about, it just means you might want to drink a little more water throughout the day. On the other hand, if you’re dehydrated, your urine will be more concentrated and will be a darker shade of yellow. That’s a sign that you might want to chug some H2O, especially if you are prone to kidney stones. 4. If your pee is Bright yellow. Does your morning regimen include popping handfuls of vitamins and supplements? High-dose vitamins can turn your pee a bright, almost neon yellow color. The most common culprit is vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, which is found in most multivitamins. The neon color in pee is just a harmless sign that you’re taking more than your body needs, and the excess is mixing with your pee. 5. If your pee is Green or blue. Pseudomonas, bacteria that can cause urinary tract infections can turn your urine a deep shade of bluish green. It’s pretty unusual, and most often happens in people with catheters, but it’s something to be aware of. Eating asparagus, which is known to make your pee smell weird, can also tint your pee light green. 6. If your pee is Brown. If your pee is ever cola colored, call your healthcare provider as soon as possible. It could be a pigment from something you ate, but it could also be a side effect of liver disease. Rhabdomyolysis, which is a release of protein into the bloodstream that’s toxic to the kidneys and it is a side effect of extreme exercise or trauma that can turn your pee brown, too. Brown-looking pee can also be from blood. Blood in the urinary tract may form a clot and turn the urine a very dark color if not peed out quickly. It takes a while for urine to travel from the kidneys, where it is produced, down to your bladder, and not everyone completely empties their bladder every time they pee. My answer is that it really depends on you. I will show you the pros and cons of rice and go over what I believe is the healthiest rice today. There is a debate today about if you should consume rice or not: ⁃ The paleo diet community says to stay grain-free and therefore that rice is not healthy ⁃ Chinese medicine followers and vegans think rice can be an incredible superfood I believe there is validity to both but it depends on the person and the preparation of the rice. Rice to stay away from: Refined White Rice (This is not jasmine or basmati rice but the sticky white rice from fast food or Chinese restaurants.) Rice Cons: • Fiber, minerals and vitamins have been removed. • Study shows that people are twice as likely to develop diabetes as opposed to those eating whole grain brown rice. • Contains phytic acid (enzyme inhibitor) which keeps you from absorbing and digesting vitamins and minerals. • Contains proteins that are difficult to digest Rice Pros: • Whole grain brown rice is high in B3 which is good for heart health. • Whole grain brown rice is high in selenium which supports the thyroid and kidneys. • Certain types of rice contain GABA, a neurotransmitter that can support the brain and help reduce anxiety as well as support metabolism. So ... is rice healthy? Is brown rice healthy? It depends on how it is prepared. I believe if rice is soaked and sprouted, it unlocks the vitamins and minerals versus most rices that aren’t sprouted. I personally consume an organic rice from the company, True Roots. It is a germinated brown rice (soaked and sprouted) which kills off phytic acid and is easier to digest. In Chinese medicine, look up “qi” or “chi.” They believe that short grain brown rice increase your body’s “qi” which is your body’s life source and energy. It is considered to be one of the #1 healing foods. I suggest my patients make a “congee” with chicken bone broth, brown rice and vegetables such as carrots and celery. This chicken vegetable rice soup is healing and nourishing to the body. In conclusion, is rice healthy? Yes, it can be if you are doing sprouted rice that is traditionally prepared. Unlike most vitamins, vitamin D actually functions like a hormone, and every single cell in your body has a receptor for it. Your body makes it from cholesterol when your skin is exposed to sunlight. It's also found in certain foods such as fatty fish and fortified dairy products, although it's very difficult to get enough from diet alone. The recommended daily intake is usually around 400-800 IU, but many experts say you should get even more than that. Vitamin D deficiency is very common. It's estimated that about 1 billion people worldwide have low levels of the vitamin in their blood. Vitamin D deficiency Symptoms may include. 1. Muscle Weakness. You should be aware that muscle weakness can present as generalized body fatigue. If you’re experiencing a more general fatigue around your body, muscle weakness issues in specific areas may stay hidden and go unnoticed for months. 2. Bone Pain. In a study of 150 patients referred to a clinic in Minnesota for persistent, general musculoskeletal pain, 93 percent had vitamin D levels equal to or below 20 ng/mL, a level considered deficient by most experts. 3.
