Transketolase is the enzyme for vitamin B deficiency test. Enzymes are the things that do the work in the body and B1 is involved in 5 different enzymes. Vitamin B1 deficiency is called Beri Beri and known as a great mimicker of disease. He also talks about several reasons to why you become deficient in B1. B1 Functions: • Making Energy • Protection of cells and mitochondria against oxidation or free radicals • Protects the cell against glycation • Protects against amyloid plaquing in the brain (Alzheimer's disease) • Helps prevent the damage or least the complications or the symptoms of high sugar Cardiovascular / Respiratory System Symptoms • Enlarged Heart • Increase Pulse Rate • Edema (Lower Ankles) • Difficulty Breathing • Microvascular Damage Digestion • Full Sensation Stomach • Constipation • Gastroparesis – A condition where the digestive system is very sluggish. • GERD • Low Hydrochloric Acid Nervous System • Neuritis • Peripheral Neuropathy • Vertigo Autonomic Nervous System • Lack of Tears • Excess Sweat • No Sweat • Anxiety • Nervous Tension • Brain Fog • Exercise Intolerance • Insomnia • POTS – A condition where your ability to adapt to gravity and positional change is completely ruined. • Sleep Apnea Other • Panic Attack • Nightmare • Lack of Stamina • Buildup of Lactic Acid • Recurrent Ear Infection • Rids Excess Estradiol • Lowers ROS – Free radical oxidation particle developed by the cells. • Prevents Toxemia • Beta Cells • Stress – Highly irritable, edgy, low tolerance to stress • SIDS – Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Causes of B1 Deficiency • Refined Sugar • Carbs – the more carbs you consume, the more B1 you need to metabolize those carbs. • White Rice • Alcohol • Heat • Aging • Diabetes • Polyphenols (Coffee, Tea, Wine) • Gastric Bypass • Sulfites • Raw Fish • Liver Damage • Antiacids • Antibiotics • Caffeine • Low Stomach Acid • Vaccinations Food Sources: • Liver • Yeast • Pork • Eggs • Fish • Sunflower Seeds • Rice Hulls • Squash • Asparagus • Sea Foods Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 52 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. How to prevent brain loss - 3 Little Known Vitamins Fight Brain Loss And Prevent Alzheimer's Disease

How to prevent brain loss - 3 Little Known Vitamins Fight Brain Loss And Prevent Alzheimer's Disease brain vitamins vitamins for memory brain supplements memory supplements memory pills best brain supplements Aging is a natural process and we can’t prevent it from progressing in our lifetime. By the time you get to your seventies, most of the elderly population already suffer from brain loss. It won’t be long when these patients diagnosed with various cognitive impairments will be diagnosed with dementia and then eventually die. In this instance, you can definitely claim that prevention is better than cure. There is no known cure for Alzheimer’s but there are countless palliative treatments you can take to reduce risk factors and improve the quality of lives of the patients involved. Over the years, countless studies have been conducted to identify risk factors and the race is still on in discovering potential medical treatments that have remained elusive until today. Among these studies was one conducted in 1990 involving 22 patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The notable observation made was the excessively high levels of homocysteine in their blood. It also relates to a story that spread widely in 1969 about two kids with brains that have turned into mush due to a rare genetic mutation causing their homocysteine levels to skyrocket. It was then when they experts hypothesized the possible link between high homocysteine levels and brain loss. But it isn’t a lost cause yet since researchers discovered that homocysteine can be detoxified by the following vitamins: 1.Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) 2.Vitamin B9 (Folate/ Folic Acid) 3.Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) It wasn’t an immediate success when you look at neuropsychological assessments but when they looked into structural neuroimaging, B-vitamins supplementation actually showed some promise. It was able to slow down brain atrophy. Hence, it is highly possible that brain loss is reduced especially among patients with Alzheimer’s with the help of B vitamins. And perhaps the main reason why homocysteine levels are over the roof is because they are deficient in B vitamins especially folate. Imagine 11 umoles of homocysteine per liter is alarming. However, you don’t just have to rely on vitamin supplementation because you can actually get vitamin B6 from beans and dark leafy veggies not to mention that you benefit from the added fiber it provides. The fiber in these greens itself can boost folate levels, which is why it is advisable for those with deteriorating mental health to consume more plant-based food rather than eat mainly meat and proteins. Homocysteine is derived from methionine, a by-product of animal protein. So, as much as possible, avoid eating lots of meat or you unknowingly endanger your health and speed up potential brain loss. Patients with Alzheimer’s must increase vitamin B supplementation especially the three vitamins mentioned earlier because your body needs it all to be able to better regulate homocysteine levels. Shifting to a plant-based diet isn’t necessarily the solution to slow down further brain loss. Optimal health can only be achieved when your body can maintain that delicate balance of all the good things your body needs to stay strong and healthy even as you age. An example of which is having a balanced diet. Age may just be a number but it can trigger a lot of changes such as Alzheimer’s, a condition that can seriously impede the quality of your life in later years. But with the help of B vitamins supplementation, brain loss is slowed down and you can still enjoy most of the things you love. Your mental capacity won’t fail you right away so you are still able to age gracefully. 10 Warning Signs of Vitamin C Deficiency - Symptoms Of Vitamin C Deficiency Diseases

10:51
10 Warning Signs of Vitamin C Deficiency - Symptoms of Vitamin C Deficiency Diseases Vitamin C cannot be made by the human body and so is an essential component of the diet. It is needed for the health and repair of various tissues in your body, including skin, bone, teeth and cartilage. Persistent lack of vitamin C in your diet can lead to a condition called scurvy. Symptoms of scurvy include easy bruising, easy bleeding and joint and muscle pains. Vitamin C deficiency can be treated with supplements of vitamin C and a diet rich in vitamin C. What is vitamin C? Vitamins are a group of substances needed in small amounts by the body to maintain health. Vitamin C is also called ascorbic acid. It cannot be made by the human body and so is an essential component of your diet. Vitamin C is needed to make a substance called collagen which is required for the health and repair of various tissues in the body, including: • Skin • Bone • Cartilage • Ligaments and tendons • Blood vessel walls • Teeth There are various foods that are rich in vitamin C, including: • Citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, limes and lemons. • Berries such as blackcurrants, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and cranberries. • Cantaloupe melon and watermelon. • Kiwi fruit. • Vegetables such as spinach, green and red peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and potatoes. What is vitamin C deficiency? Deficiency, or a lack, of vitamin C in your body happens because of a lack of sufficient amounts of vitamin C in your diet. Over time, a lack of vitamin C means that new collagen cannot be formed. This causes various tissues in your body to start to break down and the health and repair of your body become affected. Persistent (chronic) vitamin C deficiency, usually over a period of around three months or more, can lead to an illness known as scurvy.   #vitamincdeficiency, #vitaminc, #deficiency, #healthcare, naturalcures, homeremedy, ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Healthy Community channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. What Are Vitamin D Deficiency Symptoms?

06:05
For more info: https://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Apr-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=vitaminddeficiency In this video I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. For more on vitamin d deficiency, you can check out this article: http://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. 8 Serious Diseases Signaled by Our Skin

10:09
Here are the most common skin problems which can appear if there is something wrong inside your body. It is very important to be aware of the signals our skin can give us! Usually, we don't think that much about our health, until there's something wrong with it. A lot of the severe illnesses progress quietly in early stages, so you find out the truth only when you visit a doctor for a regular appointment or, even more horribly, when it becomes way too serious. TIMESTAMPS Dark spots 1:04 White patches 1:53 Rashes 2:57 Edemas 4:05 A great number of new moles and tags 5:12 Acne, blackheads, clogged pores 6:09 Flaking 7:23 Excessive sweating 8:30 SUMMARY - If you noticed dark spots, which all of the sudden popped up on your skin, this could be a symptom of adrenal insufficiency or Addison’s disease. Your adrenal glands do not generate enough steroid hormones. Addison's disease may be caused by various factors, including stress. - Another signal of health problems is white patches that start to appear on your skin. In this case, your skin loses pigmentation, and this disease is called vitiligo. It develops when cells called melanocytes are killed by the body’s immune system, causing the area of skin to turn white because the cells no longer make pigment. - Any sudden rashes on your skin show that there is something wrong with your body. It could be an allergy to food, home chemicals, medical drugs, or even a contagious disease, such as chicken pox. In any case, it is better to turn to a doctor because allergic reactions can lead to serious consequences. One of them is a Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which is a severe skin reaction. - If you have edemas every day, it is worth seeing an endocrinologist because they can be a sign of hypothyroidism. This condition can occur when the thyroid gland fails to produce sufficient quantities of hormones. The following symptoms can accompany this disease: dry skin, face and limb edemas, hair loss, fragile nails, and weight gain. - There are many reasons why moles can appear on the skin. A basic and most common one is heredity. If your parents have big birthmarks, you may also have them. Other reasons can be either excessive ultraviolet exposure or hormone imbalance. In most cases, moles are harmless.  - Pretty much everyone suffered from acne at one point or another. And don't get me started on blackheads, this thing is unavoidable. Today numerous commercials and cosmetic brands show us an unbelievable amount of products that claim to clear your skin from acne and blackheads completely. And people usually trust them buying more and more, without realizing that clogged pores are just the consequence and not the main reason. Of course, it's easier just to wash your face and hope it will all go away instead of going on a strict diet and figure out the main root of your skin problems, but if you want to have a fresh and free-from-acne skin, visiting the doctor is inevitable. - In most cases, flaking is not that big of a deal. It is a temporary condition with an easy treatment. However, when the flaking is intense and accompanied by other symptoms, it can be a sign of a serious disease. The reasons for flaking can be a vitamin deficiency, hormone imbalance or allergic reaction. - If you are inside a well-ventilated space with optimal temperature and you are not nervous, then you shouldn’t be sweating as if running a cross-country race. If you find yourself in such situation constantly, it's time to sound the alarm. The reason for excessive sweating can be the toxic diffuse goiter, or Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. All of us are quite busy and can be a bit scared to go to the doctor with some problems, thinking that maybe they will just go away as suddenly as they appeared. Sometimes this happens, but other times your condition may silently progress. Don't put off visiting a doctor, if you are feeling a certain serious discomfort. If it's nothing much, then great! But if there's something wrong, it's better to find it in the early stages, when it's way easier to treat it. 5 Supplements You SHOULD NEVER BUY!!!

08:40
These are the worst supplements not worth your money. Learn what to avoid and save for the best supplements available for weight loss and to gain muscle that are worth taking. If you're a beginner or if you're advanced watch this video to find out what to take and what not to take. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=buy Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2oTEK1W Look a little over 5 years ago I was the guy that had every possible supplement that you could possibly imagine spread out on my counter. I was taking protein creatine glucosamine prostate supports liver support milk thistle fish oils, c.l.a.s digestive enzymes, just a whole bunch of stuff most of which I did not need at all. Unfortunately nobody was around to tell me that all the supplements that I bought were just leading to one thing and that was expensive pee. Seriously guys the supplement industry is huge. And there are a lot of products that you're told will help you build muscle or help you burn fat 3 times as fast but the truth is that most of these supplements are just gonna burn a whole in your wallet and you going to wind up spending money that you could have spent on good food that would actually get you way more results. Today I want to go over the top five BS supplements that you should stay away from. Let's start with number one liquid ketones. the reason why I wanted to mention liquid ketones first is because they're becoming more and more popular right now. The whole idea is that liquid ketones are supposed to help you enter ketosis faster so liquid ketones are really growing in popularity especially with the keto diet crowd. Unfortunately somebody should tell them that this supplements claims are just straight up lies. In order for your body to go into ketosis you have to restrict carb intake enough for your body to begin converting fat into ketones which will be used as energy. Simply put you're using fat as your primary source of fuel when you don't have any carbs. This process of using ketones for energy known as ketosis essentially allows people to Target their fat stores and burn more fat. Ketosis happens naturally when you take glycogen or carbs away from the body not when you add something in. Randomly adding in ketones into your body will not put you into a state of ketosis. Again ketosis leads to ketones, but ketones don't lead to ketosis. So when your body is in ketosis that leads to Natural Ketone production for fuel not the other way around. Adding in extra ketones for no reason will just give you extra fuel to burn before you start burning your own fat stores. Which was the whole point of taking the liquid ketones to begin with. It's actually really really stupid when you think about it. Anyway...Next up are massgainers That's right Massgainers are a complete waste of money and here's why.... first of all mass gainers are not healthy at all. It's pretty much a little bit of protein powder filled with a ton of sugar. In fact they have so much filler sugar that most Mass gainers fail lab tests for protein. Meaning that they have less protein than what's written on the package. if you want the best bang for your buck then buy regular protein powder & use it to make your own mass gainer. you can create a way better Mass Gainer with ingredients that come from real food for your body to actually use. What you do is you take 2 scoops of protein, two tablespoons of peanut butter, two bananas, two servings of rolled oats & one to two tablespoons of coconut oil. Then you add in either water or whole milk if you really want to add extra calories. Then blend it with some ice & walla you have yourself a killer massgainer thats cheaper & much more effective than what you would get out of a commercial mass gainer. Next on the list are multivitamins & I know a lot of people are going to lose it when I explain this because some people really do think that taking a multivitamin everyday Will magically keep them healthy. don't worry about my diet ....I got my multivitamins. Sorry to break it to you but your multivitamin is only doing two things... one overfilling the pockets of supplement companies & two giving you expensive piss......thats pretty much it. 3 studies published in the journal....annals of internal medicine found that multivitamins & minerals didn't perform any better than a placebo pill in regard to People's Health. Meanwhile supplements like multivitamins continue to lead a multi-billion-dollar industry. First of all we don't even understand the full spectrum of vitamins minerals & antioxidants present in real fruits & vegetables. Like what I mean is we might know about half of them or maybe 10 percent of them or maybe 1 percent of them...we don't know. But even that aside when you take the vitamins that you think we need to stay healthy & you make a synthetic pill I don't care if it's in a veggie cap its foreign to your body..

Top 3 Best Fish vs. Worst Fish to Eat: Thomas DeLauer

09:07
Learn the 3 Safest fish to eat! I'll teach you more at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com We are going to go over the top 3 fish to eat and the fish that you may want to avoid. Fish can become contaminated in a number of ways - size, species, age and location determine contamination levels. Heavy Metals: Mercury and Lead- Mercury is known to cause many health problems and is especially dangerous for children and women who are or may become pregnant. It can take 12-18 months for mercury to pass through the body, so women who may become pregnant should also work hard to avoid mercury. The nervous system and kidneys are the main targets of mercury. Children exposed to mercury may cause mental development problems, including coordination and learning handicaps. Anyone can experience mercury health effects, including: fatigue, dizziness, numbness or tingling, memory and coordination problems, irritability. If enough mercury is consumed, permanent brain and kidney damage can occur. Large, older, or predatory fish have more time and eat more contaminated foods, allowing heavy metals to bioaccumulate. Industrial Chemicals- PCBs, dioxins, DDT and other chemicals can leach from factories or garbage into our waters. These chemicals are related to cancer risk. Bottom dwelling fish are the most susceptible to these toxins, including the American eel, sea trout and wild striped bass. Radiation- The Fukushima nuclear disaster is one of the most widely discussed radiation events that has an impact on what we eat. Radiation is known to cause cancer, so avoiding foods high in radioactive compounds is important. Researching your fish choices online is the best way to avoid consuming fish that come from an area high in radiation. Choosing Fish for Your Family- The Environmental Defense Fund Seafood Selector is a great benefit when deciding what fish to avoid and what fish to load up on. Given the above concerns while also weighing in health and deliciousness, here is the list of the top three fish: (1) Pacific Sardines (US and Canada): -Low in mercury -Sustainably fished -High in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B12, B2, B3, D, selenium, phosphorus, calcium, copper and more -They are inexpensive and easy to find canned. (2) Wild Alaskan Salmon: -Salmon is one of the most delicious fish, rich in healthy fats. -Low in mercury and sustainably fished -Contains bioactive peptides that may support for cartilage, insulin and inflammation. -High in vitamins B12, B3, D, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids, phosphorus, B6 and many others. (3) Muscles: -Low in mercury and one of the most sustainably fished seafood sources out there -High in selenium, omega-3s, B12, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and many others. Seafood to Avoid: Due to toxins and sustainability, it is best to stay away from these types of seafood. (1) Shark: -Anything this high up on the food chain is going to be a red flag when it comes to toxins.Predators consume other fish and their toxins. The higher up on the food chain, the higher the levels of mercury and toxins in the fish. Adding to the health dangers is the unsustainable fishing practices. Sharks have long gestation periods, taking a long time to mature and have offspring. This makes overfishing or depleting their numbers easy to do. Most shark species are experiencing a large decline due to fishing, being caught as bycatch and for fins in Asia. (2) Tuna: A favorite among many sushi goers is unfortunately very high in mercury and horrible for sustainability. Some tuna is much better for you and the environment than others. If you do consume tuna, US yellowfin is the best option. Canned albacore tuna is high in mercury and should be avoided. Bluefin and imported albacore are the worst tuna options for health and sustainability - do your best to avoid these. Canned light tuna is better for you than canned white tuna when it comes to mercury, with about ⅓ the mercury content of canned white tuna. (3) Farmed Tilapia: Farmed tilapia in the US is often imported from China and Taiwan where the conditions and chemicals used are very troublesome. (4) Swordfish: All swordfish, being large hunters, are high in mercury. They are also fished very unsustainably, with large bycatch of sea turtles, sharks and seabirds. References 1. 6 Supplements That Might Actually Help You

If You Eat an Avocado a Day For a Month, Here's What Will Happen to You

09:20
What Will Happen to Your Body If You Eat Avocado Every Day. The avocado is a unique fruit with multiple nutritional and health benefits. How would your body respond if you ate just one avocado a day? In fact, it would transform your life as you’d get amazing results: your breath will be fresh at all times, your kidneys and liver will work more efficiently, your blood pressure will become lower, just to name a few. There's a miraculous mineral to be found in avocados: potassium. It helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. Avocados are also a great source of vitamins C and E. Vitamin C is known for its involvement in the creation of collagen and elastin, which help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Vitamin E takes it to a whole new level, reducing the damage of excessive sun exposure and counteracting aging. TIMESTAMPS How to get fresh breath. 0:37 How to make your kidneys work more efficiently. 1:26 How to decrease your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. 2:20 How to make your liver function more efficiently. 3:16 How to lower your blood pressure. 4:13 How to improve your vision. 5:07 How to get extra protection from cancer. 6:03 How to lose weight easily. 6:52 How to make your skin glow. 7:49 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Avocado has antibacterial and antioxidant flavonoids, which kill bacteria in your mouth and make your breath fresh. -Potassium helps your system keep a healthy fluid balance through chemical channels for cells and organs. A good fluid balance allows your kidneys to function better. -Eating avocados regularly lowers the “bad” LDL cholesterol and blood triglycerides by up to 22% and increases the “good” HDL cholesterol by up to 11%. -This fruit is actually one of the best products for a liver-friendly diet, and that's all thanks to its ability to help your body produce glutathione! The liver desperately craves this antioxidant to filter out harmful substances and protect its cells from damage. -Potassium in avocados helps regulate the fluid balance benefits your blood pressure too. In this case, potassium prevents osteoporosis and, most importantly, lowers your blood pressure. -Avocados are high in antioxidants, especially carotenoids called lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect our eyes against harmful blue light. -The ability of avocados to give that extra bit of protection from cancer comes from the carotenoids and monounsaturated fat they contain, both of which make their own contribution to the impressive reduction of cancer. -Avocados are rich in fiber, which is essential for making those unwanted pounds disappear. Fiber is incredibly filling and digests slowly. -Thanks to vitamins C and E avocados help to maintain the skin's elasticity and firmness. Avocados are also rich in omega-9 fatty acids, and they’re crucial for maintaining moisture in the epidermis and regenerating epidermal cells. 10 Important Signs Your Body Is Asking For Help

04:42
10 Important Signs Your Body Is Asking For Help. 1. PERSISTENT DRY SKIN Dry skin is often uncomfortable and annoying. Our largest organ, the skin will crack, itch and scale if we are not consuming enough vitamins – particularly, Vitamin E – in our daily meals. To alleviate some of these symptoms, try adding more fish, nuts and healthy oils to your diet. 2. BRITTLENESS OF THE HAIR AND/OR NAILS Similar to dry skin, brittle hair or nails usually indicates a nutrient or vitamin deficiency. Low levels of calcium and/or vitamin B can cause these areas to crack, dry, and scale. The solution is to include one or more of the following: whole-grain bread, whole grains, milk, legumes, or potatoes. 3. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF SODIUM OR SALTY FOODS Most minerals have a salty composition; so, when the body is craving salt-laden foods (e.g. potato chips, peanuts, dry meat, etc.), it is often an indication that additional mineral supplementation is needed. Also, craving salty foods may be a sign that there is inflammation or an infection somewhere in the body. 4. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF SUGARY FOODS Similar to other cravings on this list, the impulse to eat more sugar generally indicates a lack of proper dieting. This aside, there are plenty of ways to counteract these cravings: drink lots of water, eat fresh and leafy greens, and/or eat more healthy and frequently. 5. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF RAW FOODS Raw foods (e.g. sushi, sashimi, cheese) may indicate some imbalance within the gastrointestinal or digestive system. The reason: raw foods are effective in alleviating uncomfortable conditions such as gastroenteritis or cramping. Supplement these foods with fresh and leafy vegetables and fruits. 6. INCREASED DESIRE OR CONSUMPTION OF SEAFOOD Here, the problem can be two-fold; either there is a lack of nutrients or minerals (most likely protein), or there is some kind of iodine deficiency. Seafood – in many forms – is a healthy dietary choice. However, be sure to include fresh cuts of meat or poultry, or some sort of substitute for vegans/vegetarians, to ward off such cravings and balance your diet. 7. PSORIASIS Similar to other manifestations of dry skin, the presence of scaling or psoriasis on the arms or elbows is indicative of insufficient vitamin and/or minerals. Vitamins A and C are common culprits. This in mind, try to include foods such as apricots, carrots, or oranges. 8. CRAMPING, POOR SLEEP OR INSOMNIA Of all symptoms, these three are often the most troublesome. Magnesium – a known inhibitor of neuronal activity, and potassium – an important nutrient for brain, heart and muscle health, can alleviate many of these ailments. Foods such as green and leafy vegetables, almonds, nuts, apricots, plums, bananas, and many others, can help suppress or eliminate such physical and psychological symptoms. 9. BLEEDING FROM THE MOUTH OR GUMS Bleeding from the mouth or gums often occurs because of a lack of vitamin C. However, ensuring the proper practice of oral care is essential as well. Vitamin C can be found in many sources: fruits (especially oranges), veggies and garlic. 10. AN INCREASED DESIRE FOR SOUR FOODS AND/OR BEVERAGES Hormonal changes (e.g. in pregnant women) can result in desiring more sour foods or drinks. Additionally, the ingredients contained in sour foods stimulate the liver and gallbladder – potentially indicating a problem with one or both. ......................... 8 Grains to Eat to Lose Weight and 3 to Avoid

07:36
What grains should you eat to lose weight? 🤔 There are grains that are perfect for this, making extra pounds vanish within days. 👌 But there are grains that are equally awful for weight loss. We're about to tell you how to avoid all the pitfalls and incorporate grains in your menu to transform your body. 👍 TIMESTAMPS: Whole oats 0:52 Brown rice 1:25 Whole rye 1:56 Whole grain barley 2:25 Buckwheat 2:50 Quinoa 3:15 Corn 3:45 Lentils 4:10 White rice 4:50 Wheat 5:18 Couscous 5:44 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Whole oats contain beta-glucan fiber, which is well known for its ability to absorb tons of water, making it swell in your stomach. This then increases the pleasant feeling of being full. In other words, you’ll simply eat way less! - Considering how many vitamins and minerals brown rice contains, it should be crowned as a superfood in the blink of an eye! - Some specialists are sure that whole rye has more nutrients per serving than any other whole grain! And there has to be some truth to this. - Barley is excellent for a perfectly toned figure, and it also lowers your cholesterol levels. Its minerals and nutrients work their magic in no time, making you feel full and giving you all the essential elements your body needs. - Buckwheat is a true champion as it contains more protein than any other whole grain, topping the list of necessary protein foods for every single one of us — especially if you're a vegetarian. - If you know at least something about a healthy lifestyle and menu, you know what quinoa is. This grain is high in protein, B-group vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids, making it a real treat for people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance. - If you want corn to help you get slimmer, make it a rule to eat a whole ear of corn. This will allow your body to receive all the B-group vitamins, magnesium, antioxidants, and phosphorus that it contains. - Lentils are truly unique, simply because they're rich in protein and fiber while being low in fat and high in slow-digesting carbohydrates. - Eating white rice may be the reason why you can't lose weight. It's actually a refined carbohydrate that’s very high in calories and low in fiber. And from this point of view, it has hardly any nutrition! - Just like brown rice, wheat is a superfood — a superfood for gaining weight! The main reason for this title is amylopectin A, an extremely fattening starch. - Couscous may look like a whole grain at first glance, but it's actually not that different from refined wheat. You won't find any nutrition here, but you will find numerous calories. 8 Symptoms of Vitamin C Deficiency

04:23
8 Symptoms of Vitamin C Deficiency Fitday Editor Nutrition Vitamins and Minerals Orange_000013959450_Small.jpg The essential vitamin known as vitamin C is one of the most important elements in an individual's daily diet. We need Vitamin C to help contribute to good cellular growth, promote function of the circulatory system, and generally help our bodies to develop and maintain themselves. A vitamin C deficiency is a serious issue, and should be caught early and treated with natural foods or dietary supplements that contain plenty of this critical ingredient. Lots of medical experts agree that a vitamin C deficiency is fairly uncommon in most modern societies. Infant formulas and other food sources are fortified with vitamin C in order to prevent some forms of deficiency of this essential nutrient. Symptoms of a Vitamin C Deficiency A variety of symptoms will show that an individual is suffering from a vitamin C deficiency. Here are some of the top signs of this kind of shortage in the system. Fatigue - Early on, someone with a vitamin C deficiency will tend to get tired easily and experience reduced energy. Because chronic fatigue is a symptom of so many illnesses, it can be hard to catch a specific condition based on this symptom. Mood Changes - Individuals with a vitamin C deficiency may become irritable or short tempered. Weight Loss - As with other "wasting conditions" someone with a vitamin C deficiency may experience sudden weight loss. Joint and Muscle Aches - Chronic pain in the limbs or joints can be a symptom of a vitamin deficiency. Bruising - Individuals with a vitamin C deficiency will tend to bruise easily. Excessive bruising is a sign that the body's chemistry needs to be improved. Dental Conditions - Just as a healthy daily dose of vitamin C contributes to healthy teeth and gums, a deficiency can cause deterioration of the gums. Periodontal problems are a symptom of a vitamin C deficiency that has been allowed to develop to a hazardous level. This kind of deficiency was classically called "scurvy" when it happened to mariners who had no access to nutrients (or sometimes even fresh water) on long trips at sea. In today's world, it is a rare but frightening condition. Dry Hair and Skin - A change in hair and skin conditions can also signal that the body is not getting enough of vitamin C and other essential vitamins and minerals. Infections - When an individual does not have enough vitamin C over time, this can have a negative impact on general healing of wounds and the fighting of infections. Generally, the body's immune system will be compromised. Vitamin Deficiency Treatments A shortage of vitamin C in the system can be treated with dietary supplements. However, it's important to seek professional medical help, rather than self-medicating with natural medicine. Vitamin C supplements are generally not known to have side effects, although at extremely high levels, they can cause nausea or indigestion. Those who experience any of the above negative symptoms should see qualified family practice doctors to talk about what may be the issue and whether a dietary deficiency may be the root cause. 17 Jaw-Dropping Facts You Didn't Know About the Human Body

08:56
What do you know about your body? These 17 Facts About the Human Body Will Send Chills Down Your Spine. These amazing facts may still be hard to swallow, but you will absolutely be all ears to hear about them. Did you love science at school? Let's face it, only a handful of us had the stomach for learning all the scientific stuff back then by heart. Today's topic will be easier to perceive. What is more, it will be much more exciting. We have 17 jaw-dropping facts about your body that may still be hard to swallow and digest, but you will be all ears to hear about them! TIMESTAMPS Your brain generates enough electricity to power a light bulb. 0:49 Human teeth are roughly as strong as shark teeth. 1:25 Stomach acid can make a hole in your skin. 1:59 The human hair is virtually indestructible. 2:44 Humans can create up to 7,000 different facial expressions. 3:09 Babies have over 60 more bones in their bodies than adults. 3:33 The resolution of the eye is estimated to be around 500 megapixels. 3:55 An adult's skin weighs around 17,6 pounds on average. 4:26 The human skeleton regenerates itself every 10 years. 4:52 Your eyes stay closed for about 10% of your waking hours. 5:14 Your kidneys filter all of your blood about 25 times a day. 5:45 The pink corner of our eye is the third eyelid. 6:15 The liver is capable of fully regenerating its original size. 6:39 Your heartbeat synchronizes with the rhythm of the music you are listening to. 7:05 The enzymes that are responsible for digesting the food will begin to digest the human body itself after death. 7:32 Some of the atoms in our bodies are stardust that is billions of years old. 7:44 In an average lifetime, the heart pumps around 53 million gallons of blood. 8:14 SUMMARY 17 Jaw-Dropping Facts You Didn't Know About the Human Body: - When you are awake, your brain is known to generate electricity in the amount of about 15-25 watts. This power is quite enough to keep a low-wattage LED lamp shining! - The fun part: the enamel which covers the top of your teeth is the hardest part of your whole body. - Hydrochloric acid is a typical "inhabitant" of a human stomach. This type of acid is industrial-grade and can, in fact, destroy metals! - Even the content of your bloodstreams such as vitamins, drugs, or alcohol, can be found out from a strand of hair analysis. - According to scientists, there are four main facial expressions: angry, afraid/surprised, happy, and sad. Based on these, all the rest of 7,000 expressions are performed. - Babies are born with as many as 270 bones. Later on, some of the bones start fusing together, for instance, the bones of the spine. - The resolution of the human eye is estimated to be around 500 megapixels. It makes them 72 times more precise than the rear camera of iPhone 6. - The skin weight makes lifting up another human being so difficult. Another interesting fact about your skin is that every square inch of it is covered with more than six hundred sweat glands. - You always have a blend of old and new bones in your body. - A person blinks on average 15 times a minute, though it is proved that women do it twice as often as men. - Only one percent of the blood they filter turn into the urine, the rest is redistributed throughout the body. A kidney of an adult isn't big at all, in fact, its size can be compared to that of a fist. - Humans retain a tiny fold in the inner corner of the eye. It is what is left from a membrane birds, and mammals have had for protecting the eye and sweeping out debris, at the same time providing visibility. - People who donate part of their liver to those who are in need, don't have to worry about their health. Their liver will soon regenerate the part which has been donated. - Music, especially the one that contains a continuous increase in volume or tempo, makes your heartbeat synchronize with it. - The enzymes make human organs start to digest the body. And they then team up with microbes, and the process of decomposition begins. - All plants, animals, your food, even your car contain pieces of distant stars. - This fist-sized organ beats around 115 thousand times a day and pumps 2,000 gallons of blood. In a lifetime, the number of its beats can reach 3 billion! Juicing this HERB Helps These 9 Different Eye Problems, Including Cataracts!

Juicing this HERB Helps These 9 Different Eye Problems, Including Cataracts! Parsley is an herb that originated in the Mediterranean region of Southern Italy, and Algeria and Tunisia. It’s been used for centuries as both a medicinal plant and a food source. For a small herb, parsley packs a big nutritional punch. The nutrients found in parsley are many, including: The vitamins, minerals and antioxidants found in parsley are known to help strengthen the immune system. The Vitamin A content helps to protect the surface of the eyes by keeping them moist. When Vitamin A is combined with other antioxidants, it can reduce the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration. Food rich in beta carotene such as spinach and carrots are even more beneficial when combined with parsley. Other carotenoids in parsley — lutein and zeaxanthin — are compounds that work hard to erase eye damage caused by environmental sources, such as UV radiation. These two carotenoids are known to reduce the risk of cataracts. Lutein works to inhibit biological processes that are known to be damaging to the retina. Parsley also boasts natural diuretic effects that helps to control various diseases such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections and gallbladder stones, and it possesses anti-inflammatory properties that treat toothaches, bruises, insect bites and other causes of inflammation, including rheumatoid arthritis. Parsley can provide much more than just a decoration on your plate. Its volatile oil components, particularly myristicin, have been shown to inhibit tumor formation while protecting against cell damage from oxidation. Parsley also supports a healthy heart, aids in maintaining strong and healthy bones, and can even be used to help control blood sugar levels in those suffering from diabetes. Adding parsley to your diet has numerous health benefits! When possible, choose fresh parsley over the dried form of the herb. It should be deep green in color, fresh and crisp. Avoid bunches that have wilted leaves or a yellow color. Choosing organic parsley is the best way to reap all of its health benefits without the risk of unwanted pesticides. Keep it refrigerated in a bag, ready to juice or cook with. https://youtu.be/iRu-QCxG71c

Vitamin D Benefits And Roles Of Vitamin D Within The Body

One reason for this is because many people are not aware of all the vitamin D benefits to be had. Even individuals who are familiar with vitamin D effects and the functions of vitamin D in the body, habitually end up being deficient. Many folks who eat a balanced and healthy diet automatically believe they must be obtaining adequate vitamin D to enjoy all the benefits. Sadly, vitamin D is not obtained from many foods. This is why, some foods are fortified with a vitamin D supplement. Nonetheless, this has not stopped a big percentage of the population from being vitamin D deficient. While it's not impossible to increase vitamin D levels via diet alone, it certainly isn't easy. Spending a lot of time in the sun is a wonderful way to improve your vitamin D because this enables your body to create its own. However, we also cannot overlook the risks involved, including a heightened risk of developing skin cancer. Additionally, not everyone gets to spend time in the sun, so for them, a good vitamin D supplement is the answer. Vitamin D Supplements A high quality vitamin D supplement benefits your health in the same way natural vitamin D does. It is really worth noting though that you should only choose the best vitamin D supplement you can get. You must also use a vitamin D3 health supplement as opposed to a vitamin D2 because D3 mimics the vitamin D your body produces when you're in the sun. Vitamin D Benefits One of the most well-known benefits of vitamin D is the fact that is helps to prevent a disease called rickets. This is a severe bone disease which up until the early 20th century, left scores of kids with major bone deformities. D deficiency prevents the body from absorbing calcium and phosphate, thereby causing bone tissues to become soft. By using vitamin D supplements and the fortification of food products, rickets has practically been eradicated. Benefits Of Vitamin D3 For The Aged Even under ideal conditions, our bodies begin producing less vitamin D as we get older, and this can often lead to osteomalacia. Like rickets, osteomalacia causes your bones to become soft, even to the point where they could unexpectedly break. Vitamin D Benefits Breast Health And Prostate Health Scientific tests are demonstrating that vitamin D 3 benefits breast health as well as prostate health. A fairly recent study discovered that guys with elevated levels of vitamin D in their blood are less likely to die from the ailment compared to men with minimal levels. A comparable pattern has been discovered with breast cancer, in that research suggests that vitamin D may possibly improve the chances of survival between ladies who have breast cancer. Let’s be honest; it’s hard to resist cravings for tasty food when you’re on a strict diet. You feel hungry all the time, and when you open the fridge, it’s almost impossible to fight the temptation to grab something unhealthy! However, there are foods you can eat without risk of gaining weight. Can you imagine eating popcorn at any time and in any quantity?! To figure out how that’s possible, watch our list of foods that will never make you fat. TIMESTAMPS Celery 0:44 Arugula 1:15 Egg whites 1:38 Salad 2:09 Cucumbers 2:41 Cauliflower 3:12 Tomatoes 4:00 Broccoli 4:27 Oranges 4:55 Kale 5:19 Sugar snap peas 5:43 Grapefruit 6:03 Melon 6:26 Strawberries 6:46 Blackberries 7:10 Popcorn 7:28 Blueberries 7:54 SUMMARY - Celery has anti-allergic and antiseptic properties. This plant can improve your digestion and overall health. - There are only 10 calories in 2 cups of arugula. It helps you get slimmer without damaging your health. - Scientists found that eggs keep you feeling full for longer periods than foods that contain more carbs. Mix the whites with a few tomatoes and get the healthiest omelet ever! - Salad is packed with vitamins A and C as well as folic acid and iron. It’s practically devoid of calories (10 to 20 calories, depending on the type). - Fresh, crunchy cucumbers have significant health benefits. The skin of a cucumber contains most of its nutritional value, particularly beta-carotene, which is good for your eyes. - Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamins C and K. Also, it contains only 25 calories. - One tomato has about 25 calories. Tomatoes are full of lycopene, vitamins A, C, and B2, folic acid, fiber, chromium, and potassium.  - Broccoli contains 31 calories, and it is one of the favorite foods of those who want to lose weight. - Oranges are one of the most delicious fruits. They are best known for their vitamin C content. By the way, the white stuff under the orange skin, the pith, is really good for you. - Kale, like any other edible seaweed, contains a large amount of iodine and it’s almost devoid of calories. It has about 32 calories. - Sugar snap peas are very low in calories: a cup of peas contains around 35 calories. - Grapefruits help to stabilize blood sugar levels. They’re full of vitamin C, and, due to their low caloric value, they can help you reduce those extra inches around your waist. - Melon contains over half the recommended daily value of vitamins A and C and only 55 calories. Melon is also very useful for preventing flu and improving the immune system. - Strawberries are rich in potassium and fiber and have an anti-inflammatory effect. It sounds surprising, but a couple of strawberries contain as much vitamin C as an orange. - Blackberries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C. Also, they have an amazing taste. - One cup of air-popped popcorn will never affect your body. This “movie snack” mostly consists of air, and you can enjoy eating it without fear of gaining extra weight. - Blueberries have more antioxidants than any other fruit. Therefore, a cup of blueberries will help you balance your diet.  What helps you control your weight and stay in shape? 10 Things You’ll Never Buy Once You Know What’s Inside

13:11
products you won't purchase when you find out how it's made Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: david.f@valnetinc.com We’re back yet again with another video detailing all sorts of products you love and the disgusting things hidden away inside. Many of these products are known to be bad for you, but ignorance is bliss. That is, if you don’t know specifically what’s in it, then it’s not ‘really’ that bad. Other products here are a bit more shocking because they are assumed to be pure and healthy but contain a rather surprising ingredient. Ahead we’ll start you off with an easy one – cigarettes. Yes, you know they are horrible for your health but do you know exactly what sorts of “ingredients” are in them? Then there’s Casu Marzu, a Mediterranean cheese that is illegal in most parts of the world because it contains maggots. Oh, you read that right. Ever noticed all that canned meat on the grocery shelves? Someone’s eating that, otherwise they wouldn’t stock it. We’ll show you what’s inside. When you head out for a burger or fries it’s often fun to order a milkshake. Unfortunately we have a pretty long list of things that are in that shake that may make you think twice. Processed Cheese is a staple of the American diet. Surprisingly it contains a lot less “cheese” than you might think. If you enjoy that natural vibrant pink color of the salmon you’re about to eat, look more closely. If it’s farm-raised that color is not natural. As kids many of us enjoyed a golden and delicious Twinkie. Sure, we know they aren’t good for you but just wait until you see what’s actually in these little snack cakes. Cereal is safe, right? Sure there’s brands with a lot of sugar or food coloring, but disturbingly many popular cereals are also testing positive for high levels of herbicides. Even orange juice isn’t without its issues. Whether Minute Maid or Tropicana, those juices fortified with vitamin D have animal products in them. Finally, we’ll end off with everyone’s favorites: Doritos and Cheetos. These orange snacks are just not good for you and what’s inside may have you questioning your grocery list the next time you head out. DRINK This Everyday To PEE OUT More Toxins! BOOST KIDNEY HEALTH & IMPROVE KIDNEY FUNCTION Naturally

11:32
10 Ways To Improve Kidney Function Naturally http://bit.ly/2ouONK5. Do These Everyday To PEE OUT More Toxins. There is a saying I love: “Spirit is simple, the Mind makes things complex”, and for me it is no different with healing. Your body wants to heal, there is nothing that it wants to do more; it was designed to heal. Improving Your Kidney Function Can Be Simple So you see for many, improving kidney function doesn’t need to be difficult. In most cases, simply by stepping to the side and getting out of your own way, checking your thoughts, fears, and excuses at the door, you can catalyse massive changes in your health, by simply allowing the healing to take place. Rubbing Lanterns Won’t Help Improve Your Kidney Function, But Here’s What Can… Now stay with me… I am not saying that that you can cure all by thinking just happy thoughts, wishing, and “getting out of the way”, no definitely not. There are many practical things you can do every day, with little to no fuss that are very effective in helping increase kidney function. Very helpful indeed. Note: thinking positive however sure won’t hurt, in fact it will go along way; your mindset is the single biggest determining factor on how quickly you heal. … So in tune with today’s theme of simplicity, I would like to share with you 10 effortless tips that can be applied immediately to help your kidney function http://bit.ly/2ovicDZ, no need to leave home, and no need to spend a dime. How To Improve Kidney Function In 10 Easy Steps OK, let’s begin shall we? 1. The Water Hydration Technique: You know how most of us generally go for long periods without water, become thirsty (and dehydrated) and scull the next available glass in about 30 seconds? Have you ever thought what this does to your body? No? I don’t blame you. The actual fact of the matter is that every time you a drink a glass of water (or any fluid) in a hurry, you are placing pressure on kidney function. How? Well, seeing as one of the functions of the kidneys is to keep the fluid levels in the blood stream balanced, by drinking a full glass of water at once you are essentially dumping a large amount of water into the blood stream, which the kidneys now need to balance out (i.e. increase urine production). By drinking slowly, a mouthful at a time, you reduce the pressure on the kidneys and increase hydration. Sound too simple to do any good? Good. Now try it. 2. Sunshine: As you are probably aware, when sunlight touches the skin, light sensitive receptor cells are activated to produce the active form of vitamin D. Vitamin D has many benefits in the body, the main benefits being: cancer prevention, immune system enhancement, bone health, and regulation of phosphorus and calcium levels (which is important in kidney disease). Did you know then that one of the key functions of kidneys is to active vitamin D too? True. By spending just 15 mins a day under the light of the sun, you can let the sun and your skin do all the work. Your kidneys will be saved the extra work, and at the same time you get to enjoy the open air. The other important thing to note is that if your kidney function has deteriorated too far, then your kidneys will not be able to produce enough active vitamin D anyway, making sunshine all the more necessary. Low levels have been linked to diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, and heart disease. People experiencing kidney disease, coupled with low vitamin D levels, have a 26 percent greater risk of dying than those with sufficient levels of vitamin D. Have your vitamin D levels tested with your next visit at your doctors: Optimal reference range for healthy individuals: – US measurement: 50 to 70 ng/mL – World measurement: 125 to 175 nmol/L Optimal reference range for treating heart disease, cancer, and kidney disease: – US measurement:70 to 80 ng/mL – World measurement: 175 to 200 nmol/L Is the sun shining where you are right now? If yes, jump outside! 3. Juicing: Juicing is a favourite kidney function treatment of mine; it’s cheap, and it is easy to do. Vegetables just like herbs contain not only vitamin and minerals that we are all familiar with, but also contain nutrients known as phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are simply ‘nutrients’ (chemical compounds) derived from plants that are produced by the plant to aid in its survival, including: chemical messengers, structure, protection from harmful organisms, protection from insects, or even attracting pollinating insects. The interesting thing with phytonutrients however, is that although these chemicals were made specific for the plant, by some miraculous way, these natural chemicals lend themselves perfectly to other organisms e.g. Humans.
