3 Weird Tips on Lowering BAD LDL Cholesterol and Increase GOOD HDL Cholesterol

02:20
Do you want to lower your cholesterol? In this short video, I share three unusual ways of improving your cholesterol levels naturally. Links to all the studies and further info on improving your cholesterol naturally, so you may be able to avoid medication altogether: http://bit.ly/cholesterol-heart-attacks You're unlikely to hear the tips in this video from a doctor. Yet they can be highly effective at getting your cholesterol to a healthy level. In fact, one of them was found in a study to lower the heart disease risk for 9 out of 10 people. My name is Gareth Churchill and I’m natural health researcher for Erudite Lifestyle magazine. We report on the latest breakthroughs in alternative medicine as well as expose the bogus claims. When it comes to cholesterol, new advances are being made all the time on how to balance your cholesterol and lower your risk of heart disease naturally, and avoid spending a lifetime on pharmaceutical drugs with possible side effects. My first unusual tip is to eat FAT. That's right, I said FAT. But not any fat. I mean healthy fats that can help boost your GOOD HDL cholesterol. This includes fatty fish, olives, flax seeds and avocados. My next tip is to drink ALCOHOL. Or to be precise, one glass of red wine a day. Again, research suggests it can raise HDL cholesterol by as much as 15% and help get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio. My final tip is to try CHELATION therapy. This was first developed to remove heavy metals from the arteries of factory workers. However, doctors were amazed to discover it can help flush out cholesterol plaque as well, and has been found to lower the risk of heart disease for 9 out of 10 people. In this short video I’m only scratching the surface on how to get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio and lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke. On the Erudite Lifestyle website we explain in detail how to flush toxic cholesterol plaque from your arteries, to lower your blood pressure and improve your all round health. We also reveal why cholesterol may not be the #1 cause of heart attacks at all. And what you need to ask your doctor to check for instead. What’s more, you can get our FREE report on 7 Brain Foods for a smarter, faster and clearer mind. Sounds interesting? Then click the link below. I hope you find our information helpful in balancing your cholesterol and improving your all round health. Cholesterol Levels Chart Explanation - HDL and LDL cholesterol

04:23
In this video, you will find out what is the optimum cholesterol level and how HDL and LDL should be balanced. And if you want to discover a proven way to lower cholesterol naturally, click this link: ►► http://drsam.co/yt/cholesterolchart-choleslo And if you want to watch another video called "What is a normal cholesterol level?", click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1TEIwTUaeQ =============================================== Cholesterol Levels Chart - Balance between HDL and LDL =============================================== Hi … this is Dr. Sam Robbins Today’s question is from Debbie and she asks “Can you please explain and simplify the cholesterol numbers and charts?” This is a good question because I think we should all know more about how our body works because nobody will care more about your health than you will. First we have your “Total Cholesterol” numbers, which is the sum of all the cholesterol in your blood. As you can see from the chart, your goal should be less than 200mg/dL. However, I’d like to point out that I personally believe that anything less than 150mg/dL is TOO LOW! And yes, your cholesterol can be “too low” and I think that’s just as bad as “too high”, which is over 240mg/dL What most people don’t know or understand, is that your body NEEDS cholesterol and it has many important functions, such as: ● Producing your “sex hormones”, such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, DHEA and similar “youth” hormones ● Utilizing Vitamin D and other fat-soluble vitamins, which help your bones, nerves, metabolism, skin elasticity, strong immunity and so forth. ● Proper brain function, memory, cognition, balancing dopamine, serotonin and other “feel good” neurotransmitters. And this is a major problem with cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs and why they cause: ● Impotence ● Memory loss ● Accelerated aging ● Depression ● Etc. In a minute I’ll show you how you can easily improve your cholesterol levels naturally, WITHOUT the use of these harmful drugs or a restrictive diet. However, what I’d like to point out is that what matters most is the CORRECT BALANCE in your lipid levels, which is what I want to talk about next and that’s your HDL/LDL ratios... =HDL= First I’d like to start with your HDL, which is short for “high density lipoprotein”. Your HDL is considered the "good" cholesterol because it can help decrease the cholesterol buildup in the walls of your arteries, that causes narrowing of their openings. Generally speaking, the higher your HDL, the better. For example, after giving my mom some specific herbs that I’ll tell you about in a minute, I was able to raise her “good” HDL from 52 mg/dL to 94 mg/dL Her cardiologist and I are very happy because sometimes my mom’s TOTAL cholesterol goes in the “borderline high” range (200-239 mg/dL). However, we’re okay with that because her “good” HDL is so high and thus, very protective. =LDL= Lastly, I’d like to finish with your LDL, which is short for “low density lipoprotein”. Your LDL is considered the "bad" cholesterol because the risk of heart disease goes up if you have high levels of LDL. So you want this to be LOW This is basically the OPPOSITE of what HDL does. =Summary= Remember, your goal is to have healthy cholesterol levels between the range of 150-200 mg/dL. Too LOW is just as bad as too HIGH. And what matters most with your cholesterol numbers is your HDL/LDL ratios. You want your “good” HDL to be high and “bad” LDL to be low. A good way to remember this is the “H” in HDL for HIGH and “L” in LDL for LOW. I hope this video was helpful and gave your more clarity. Lose up to 24 pounds in 6 weeks (free guide): https://www.focusfitness.net/ffyt-fat-crusher-plan This video will show you the best foods that raise HDL cholesterol 1. Coconut oil Coconut oil may improve the ratio of low-density-lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the "bad" cholesterol, to HDL cholesterol. Improving this ratio reduces heart disease risk 2. Olive oil The type of heart-healthy fat found in olives and olive oil can increase your HDL and lower the inflammatory impact of LDL cholesterol on your body 3. Whole grains Whole grains, including bran, cereals, and brown or wild rice may give your HDL levels a boost. That’s because they contain fiber, specifically soluble fiber 4. Flaxseeds Ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil also contain omega-3 fatty acids. Flaxseed is one of the best plant-based sources of omega 3 fatty acids 5. Avocado Avocados are high in folate, a healthy monounsaturated fat. This type of fat boosts HDL, lowers LDL, and reduces your risk for stroke, heart attack, and heart disease 6. Fatty fish Omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish, can lower your LDL and increase your HDL. Look for fattier options, such as salmon, mackerel, albacore tuna, sardines, and rainbow trout 7. Beans and legumes Like whole grains, beans and legumes are a great source of soluble fiber. Reach for black beans, black-eyed peas, kidney beans, navy beans, lentils, and others 8. How to Raise Good Cholesterol and Lower Bad Cholesterol || Top 5 Health Tips

02:14
How to Raise Good Cholesterol and Lower Bad Cholesterol || Top 5 Health Tips ======================================== ======================================== 1. Educate yourself about good cholesterol. HDL, or high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, acts as the body's waste-disposal system in the blood. HDL combs through blood for bad cholesterol, LDL, and flushes it out to your liver for disposal. HDL lowers inflammation throughout the body and may even help against Alzheimer's. 2. Ask your doctor for a cholesterol blood test. High cholesterol does not have overt side effects, but it can be devastating on your health. Illnesses that come from bad cholesterol are serious, and should only be treated by a healthcare professional. Your doctor may suggest changes in lifestyle or diet if your HDL measures less than 60 mg/dL. 3. Calculate your total blood cholesterol. Having ‘good cholesterol’ is a combination of limiting LDLs and increasing HDLs. While you may be doing one of these very well, it is helpful to see the big picture if you are falling behind on the other. To calculate total blood cholesterol, add your LDL, HDL, and 20 percent of your triglycerides. 4. Set a target for your good HDL. Cholesterol is measured in milligrams per deciliter of blood. People whose HDL levels are beneath 60 mg/dL are considered at risk for heart disease. Aim for a higher number of good cholesterol (higher than 60 mg/dL but less than 200 mg/dL). 5. Exercise regularly. Increase your heart rate for at least a half hour 5 times a week by doing things like playing basketball, raking, walking, running, bicycling or swimming. Gyms can be great exercise tools, but try not to completely upend your daily routine at once. Enthusiasm for drastically new and exciting exercise routines often ends with a return to inactivity.

11 Foods That Increase Your HDL Levels

05:47
11 Foods That Increase Your HDL Levels When choosing foods that increase HDL cholesterol, what you have to bear in mind is that the food you eat is not the be-all and end-all of how you balance your cholesterol levels in the first place. For instance, other factors have to come into consideration such as lifestyle choices including whether you smoke or not, how much alcohol you consume and if you do not exercise. That said, one of the things that you do want to do is ensure that you have as much HDL in your blood as possible to help control the LDL cholesterol. Following are three foods that increase HDL cholesterol. Oily fish - Oily fish such as sardines, mackerel, salmon and tuna are excellent at helping to increase your HDL levels. The reason for this is because they reduce your triglyceride levels, and when triglyceride levels are low this enables HDL levels to increase. Oats - Foods such as oats are high in soluble fiber, and soluble fiber not only helps to increase HDL levels but also helps reduce total cholesterol as well. As well as oats other foods that contain soluble fiber are whole-grain food, brown rice, lentils and legumes. Onions - Onions are one of the little-known foods that increase HDL cholesterol levels. In studies that were carried out, when people with cholesterol problems ate approximately half a raw onion a day, 25 percent of them found a reduction in their cholesterol levels. Foods that you definitely want to avoid as they will decrease your HDL levels are any foods that are contain or are cooked in trans fats. Trans fats otherwise known as hydrogenated vegetable oil are added to certain foods to extend the shelf life and also used by fast food outlets for deep frying. Trans fats are notorious because not only do they lower your HDL cholesterol but they also increase your LDL cholesterol; this of course is the exact opposite of everything that we are trying to achieve. Hdl cholesterol high Foods | Foods To Raise Levels Of Good Cholesterol

Hdl cholesterol high Foods | Foods To Raise Levels Of Good Cholesterol We have already talked about foods that lower "bad" cholesterol . Well, now we will discuss foods that raise high density lipoproteins better known as good cholesterol. Good cholesterol helps the body eliminate bad cholesterol by taking it to the liver, where it is processed and removed from the body. People with high levels of good cholesterol have a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease. What Is LDL Cholesterol And Why It's Called The BAD Cholesterol

04:02
►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterol - See how my parents lowered their cholesterol 100% naturally and how you can do the same starting today! =============================================== What Is LDL Cholesterol Why Is It Bad And How Can I Lower It Quickly And Naturally?? =============================================== A comprehensive lipid panel or “Cholesterol” blood test, provides information about the amount of cholesterol carried by different lipoproteins in your blood. There are 5 major types of lipoproteins; -Chylomicrons (ky-lo-mi-crons) typically triglycerides -very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), -intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL), -low-density lipoprotein (LDL) -high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Today I’m going to quickly cover your LDL, which is called low-density lipoprotein because LDL particles tend to be less dense than other kinds of cholesterol particles. This type of cholesterol is produced primarily by your liver, which is an important fact for you to know and I’ll tell you why in a few seconds... Now, this LDL cholesterol and is very important in the creation of cell walls, your hormones, and digestive juices. So, LDL is needed for a healthy body. Unfortunately, LDL is also known as the “Bad Cholesterol” because when your LDL level is high, it can start to form a plaque-like substance on the walls of your cardiovascular system (arteries and veins), blocking the natural flow of blood and leaving you at severe risk for a heart attack and stroke As seen in the chart presented in the video! Your goal is to have “lower” LDL levels, which is the OPPOSITE of HDL (high-density lipoprotein)... and I’ll cover HDL in a different video. An easy way to remember this is to think of the “L” in LDL as LOW and the “H” in HDL as HIGH And thus your goal is to have lower LDL and higher HDL How To Lower Your “Bad’ LDL Cholesterol A proper diet and exercise will help improve your LDL levels…. And i’ll discussed these two topics in detail in a different video. But what’s important to know is that as stated earlier, most of your cholesterol is made in your liver (80%)… and NOT from the foods you eat. Now, this doesn’t mean you can go eat pizza and ice cream every day…. But most people are doing the WRONG things to improve their cholesterol levels And this is why most of us aren’t getting the positive results we expect And we’re frustrated with the lack of results and sadly, we give up and take harmful medications. I know this because this is exactly the problems I ran into with lowering my parent’s cholesterol, levels back in 1998 I talk about this in further detail in a special video that you can click to watch in the description area below this video. The effects of coconut oil are compared to butter and tallow. Even if virgin coconut oil and other saturated fats raise LDL “bad” cholesterol, isn’t that countered by the increase in HDL “good” cholesterol? When you start a keto plan, you will release fat from your fat cells. Well, the stuff you are releasing from the cell is cholesterol and triglycerides - so it has to go somewhere; out through the blood and liver. This temporary raise in cholesterol can concern people IF they don't understand the process. Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. HDL & LDL Cholesterol

06:29
Cholesterol is a waxy substance present in our body and it’s produced from what we eat – mainly from fats and carbohydrates. Some people have the ability to make more cholesterol than others. But what is cholesterol? And does it have a function? Like I said, cholesterol is a waxy substance. It helps the functions of our cells. 1. It strengthens the wall of a cell. 2. It helps the formation of bile, which is produced by the liver to properly digest fats. 3. It helps the formation of vitamin D, which is being produced in the skin after sun exposure. And then cholesterol jumps in to help the formation of an active form vitamin D, that’s D3. Vitamin D is a very important vitamin and it helps several functions in our body. 4. The fourth function of cholesterol is that it helps the formation of male and female sex hormones. Cholesterol in general is not a harmful substance as some people might think. It has good and bad types. Generally speaking, cholesterol has two main types. HDL- that’s High Density Lipoprotein, and LDL – Low Density Lipoprotein. HDL has molecules that are big. And LDL has molecules that are small. Let’s understand more of this by illustrating it on our model. Here: Cholesterol is integrated into the cell wall and appears here as these yellow balls. This is HDL, and it’s responsible for strengthening the cell wall. The other part – LDL – looks like this tiny Christmas tree with spikes. These spikes are bad. How? For illustration purposes let’s imagine this sock as a blood vessel. LDL molecules stick to the blood vessel’s wall and if it accumulates in large quantities it may cause arthrosclerosis – that’s hardening of the blood vessel wall, and thrombosis – that’s clots blocking the blood flow. However, HDL molecules (these big yellow balls), in spite of being so big, they have smooth edges, and they travel easily in the blood stream. HDL helps remove LDL from the blood vessel’s wall – that’s why we should increase HDL and decrease LDL. Have more of HDL and less of LDL. If we undergo a blood cholesterol test, we will have three readings in our reports. You’ll find HDL, LDL, and total cholesterol (after adding HDL to LDL values). As a healthy person you must keep the LDL low and the HDL as high as possible within the normal ranges. Then see if the total cholesterol is elevated or not. This will affect your future health, especially your heart and blood vessels. If the total cholesterol is elevated you’re at higher risk of getting arthrosclerosis, heart disease and stroke at an older age. As I mentioned before, the source of cholesterol is mainly fats. And there are good fats and bad fats. Good fats will produce useful cholesterol for you, and the bad ones will produce harmful cholesterol. How can we differentiate between the good and the bad ones? So, the good fats are: any liquid fats at room temperature or in the fridge, such as plant oils. All solid fats at room temperature or in the fridge are not good, contain LDL: Butter, hydrogenated fats or margarine. All these are not healthy because they form the harmful LDL. If we want to lower our bad cholesterol and increase our good cholesterol, what should we do? First of, we should add liquid fats to our diet, like plant oils. Add them to your salad and avoid heating them. Also avoid using solid fats that are solid at room temperature or in the fridge. There are medicals that we can use under medical supervision. There are also studies that show the benefits of omega-3, which is present in nuts and fish oils. Nuts and fish oil help in lowering the level of bad cholesterol, because they belong to the good cholesterol producing food groups. Don’t forget to practise regular exercise, as this helps in getting rid of the bad cholesterol and maintains good cholesterol within the normal range. I wish you good health! Dr. Ronald Krauss on LDL Cholesterol, Particle Size, Heart Disease & Atherogenic Dyslipidemia

01:21:18
Dr. Ronald Krauss, M.D. is the director of atherosclerosis research at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Adjunct Professor at UCSF and UC Berkeley. Dr. Krauss is really one of the pioneering scientists that changed the way we all think about cholesterol. He developed an assay that allows the quantification of low-density lipoprotein particle size and concentration (known to the wider world mostly as just "LDL cholesterol") based on a technique which determines the size of the particle based on physics...meaning the speed at which it flies through the air. This test which has not yet been fully adopted into all clinical practice in the manner that the total LDL cholesterol test has is known as the "ion mobility" test. In this episode, Rhonda and Ron discuss what HDL and LDL cholesterol are, what they do in the body, critical distinctions between the particle sizes of LDL and HDL, and how they play a role in heart disease. We talk about what small, dense LDL particles are, how they form, what effect eating saturated fat versus refined carbohydrates have on LDL particle size and heart disease risk and more generally what the main risk factors for heart disease are. Ron also talks about the good, bad and the ugly of LDL-lowering drugs known as statins, what the characteristics are of atherogenic dyslipidemia, riffs on the manner in which inflammatory cell wall components of bacteria, such as lipopolysaccharide, may interact with cholesterol to make it more harmful, and the effects of sugars on lipid production, and so much more. ▶︎ Get the show notes and transcript! https://www.foundmyfitness.com/episodes/ronald-krauss ▶︎ Join my weekly newsletter: http://www.foundmyfitness.com/?sendme=nutrigenomics ▶︎ Crowdfund more videos: http://www.patreon.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Subscribe on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=foundmyfitness ▶︎ Subscribe to the podcast: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/foundmyfitness/id818198322 ▶︎ Twitter: http://twitter.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/foundmyfitness

Know About Good & Bad Cholesterol (HDL & LDL) - Manipal Hospital

02:55
If you are diagnosed with High Cholesterol, it is important to understand and be able to manage it responsibly. What is cholesterol? It is a fat-like substance produced by the liver as well as the food you intake, packaged into particles called lipoproteins. What is Cholesterol's function? Cholesterol is used to produce: Hormones Vitamin D Bile What are the two types of Cholesterol? Cholesterol is of two types: Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) - Bad Cholesterol High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) - Good Cholesterol LDL travels the blood stream providing cholesterol to cells. If too much of it builds up in the arteries it may lead to the formation of plaque which narrows the arteries. This is why it is known as bad cholesterol. It may lead to cardiac diseases and stroke. HDL helps remove excess cholesterol from the cells and tissues. This excess is then sent to the liver which channels it out of the body. HDL & Reverse Cholesterol Transport [HD]

03:24
Updated Comments: August 2017 publication in EHJ shows very high HDL predicts an increased mortality risk (see more details below...) As shown in older studies (AIM-HIGH & HPS2-THRIVE), HDL-C increase alone cannot be associated to cardiovascular benefits, especially when LDL-C is very low. HDL-C remains a marker to assess cardiovascular risk but not a Risk Factor: meaning that raising HDL-C is not proven to provide benefit. A recent data analysis published on August 2017 in the European Heart Journal by Madsen et al. (Eur Heart J 2017;38:2478–2486) referring to the Copenhagen City Heart Study and the Copenhagen General Population Study has shown that the presence of an extremely high concentration of HDL cholesterol is predictive of an increase in all-cause mortality in both men and women. This analysis included 52.268 men and 64.240 women and shows a U-shaped relationship between HDL cholesterol concentration and mortality, with an increased risk observed at both low levels and very high levels of HDL cholesterol. The lowest mortality was observed with HDL cholesterol levels of 73.5mg/dL (1.9 mmol/L) in men and 92.8mg/dL (2.4 mmol/L) in women. Complexity of HDL-C functions does not allow simplifications such as to determine CV Benefit just from HDL-C concentration (eg: mg/dL) modifications. Number and size of HDL-C particles, concentration of Apo-A1, and the actual Reverse Cholesterol Efflux need to be considered. More trials are underway to finally conclude on this matter. LDL-C remains the primary treatment target (recent guidelines also mention non-HDL and Apo-B as secondary targets). Cholesterol Levels LDL - HDL

02:00
To determine the normal levels of cholesterol in the blood, see description of cholesterol levels as follows: Less than 200 mg per dl It is a measure of normal cholesterol levels. That is the amount of total cholesterol LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), and triglycerides less than 200 mg per dl, thus heart disease will not snoop us. But that does not mean you continue to eat fatty foods that you know, (wah still normal, free to eat anything) remains set diet and exercising In the range of 200-239 mg per dl Including cholesterol levels are sufficient. If it's your cholesterol levels are in the range of 200-239 mg per dl, you should check to a laboratory to determine the details of the levels of LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. More than 240 mg per dl High-risk cholesterol levels. Why is that, because a person with a measure cholesterol levels are likely to develop heart disease. Normal levels of HDL cholesterol HDL levels normal for men ranges between 40-50 mg per dl, and between 20-60 mg per dl for women. If higher levels of HDL, the less the risk of heart disease. Normal levels of LDL cholesterol Conversely, the fewer the levels of LDL in the blood, the less risk of heart disease. In general, LDL levels are divided into the following categories; less than 100 mg per dl = very good Between 100-129 mg per dl = normal Between 130-159 mg per dl = sufficient Between 160-189 mg per dl = high more than 190 mg per dl = very high cholesterol levels by age cholesterol levels normal cholesterol levels in food

► 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven]

05:39
See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/StartLoweringYourCholesterolNaturally =============================== 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven] =============================== Cholesterol has many benefits and it’s definitely NOT your “enemy”. In fact, “low” cholesterol is just as bad as “high” cholesterol levels. However, there are certain foods that are really bad for you and can quickly increase your “bad” cholesterol levels and dramatically increase your risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Under this video I’ve got a special bonus video about how you can quickly lower your cholesterol levels in less than 30 days, naturally - without changing your diet or exercising. So make sure you take a look... However, let’s first start with the 5 worsts, clinically proven - “high cholesterol” foods that you must avoid! Dairy I’ve been saying this for over 2 decades - Milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows! Additionally, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! All of these factors, plus the saturated fat inside milk, increases your cholesterol and stresses your liver. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole, low or nonfat dairy, it’s all the same. Unfortunately, this also includes two of my favorite foods, ice cream and cheese! Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated and saturated fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It’s cheap food. It may be easy and good for your wallet, but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay the price later in life. Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shell-fish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. All the cholesterol and fat is located in the egg YOLK, which is why most “experts” say you should only consume egg whites. However, most of the nutrients, antioxidants and half the essential amino acids (protein) are also found in the yolk. The problem is when you COOK the yolk - such as hard-boiled, scrambled and fried eggs. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages both the structure of the protein and fat. So the healthiest way to eat eggs is raw or lightly cooked, so the yolk is still runny. Don’t fry it with butter or vegetable fats. And make sure it’s organic, free-range eggs. Baked Foods/Carbs (Snacks Too) Baked foods such as muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… The types of foods most people eat in the morning when they’re in a rush, or with their coffee or at work as a snack… These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. “Bad” fats increase cholesterol. “Bad” fats + carbs/sugar REALLY increase your cholesterol and lead to numerous health issues. The combination is super unhealthy. Under this same category -- “Snack Foods” such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items are almost as bad as these bakes foods. Cholesterol (Part 4): Bad Cholesterol (LDL) is NOT Bad!

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. PART 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOuWCh6nrZM PART 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FObb4O0__EA PART 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSORgwlsLfo LDL is not cholesterol, Low density lipoprotein is a protein that shuttles cholesterol and triglycerides. LDL is the carrier that transports cholesterol from the liver to the vessels and cells and HDL transports the cholesterol from the arteries back to the liver. The body makes 3000 mg of cholesterol. Why? 1. Makes cell membranes 2. Antioxidant properties 3. Anti-inflammatory properties 4. Makes vitamin D 5. Helps you make bile thus extracting fat soluble vitamins 6. Makes cortisol 7. Makes sex hormones (testosterone, estrogen, etc. AND 8. Helps the body respond to crisis (infection) 9. It binds and inactivates bacterial toxins 10. Helps inhibit the damage from microbes 11. Acts as a band-aid to help in the healing of the endothelium layer. There are 2 types of LDL. Type A (large buoyant) *normal, not involved in damage repair. *last 2 days in the body Type B (small dense) *because these are small, they can enter the damaged wall of the artery and are involved in the clotting and plaquing. *last 5 days Look at your triglycerides - if they are high and your HDL is low, then you have more type B LDL. But if your triglycerids are low and high HDL, then you have type a. Saturated fats will increase type A and sugars will increase type B. LOW CARB, HIGH DIET DIETS CAN SWITCH YOUR TYPE B TO TYPE A. Sugar 2. Cortisol 3. Vegetable oil (soy and corn) 4. Trans fats (hydrogenated fats) 5. Low vitamin C 6. Glycation (adding glucose/fructose with protein and fat): donuts, fries, carmelization, dark soda. Fructose cause 10X more glycation. 7. Surgery 8. Visceral fat High levels LDL should be understood rather than merely lowered. Find the the real deeper cause. DR.
