Advil Cold and Sinus tablets ad - Running Woman (2008)

00:32
Wow! It's December already? Boy, the year is almost over! Just this one month and we're will be done 2018! And no sooner does the homestrech get anymore sweeter than the Holiday season. Christmas, Hanukkah, Quanza... the times were we care a bit more... when our hearts grow 3 sizes bigger... we come closer to the ones we care about and be aware of the ones who are in need... ...and then get distracted by commercials suggesting that we buy the latest products for the holidays, only to fight other people in the stores and get irate that he product is sold out... That's what rampart commercialization does to us human beings... but alas, it's not all bad... and I'm being completely serious here... Sometimes, you could donate some of the money you earned to the Salvation Army or other charities. Something like that... While people have criticized the commercialization of the holiday season, it is no doubt a part of the industries the create the commercialization in the first place... at least that's I seem to speculate. But is there a good side to this? After all, there are cartoons like Transformers and TMNT that are well written despite being made to sell toys in mind. People who are always working to feed their families need the money, so it might be wise to work during a busy shopping day like Black Friday. It can't be all bad, right? And i'm making this description long again, aren't I? Bottom line is, commercials are abundant during the holidays, big corporations make money off it, and there is some sort of good side to it. Basically, when the holiday's are around big companies will put out ads that will make us all warm and fuzzy inside because Christmas is a time where we care a bit more. I myself do care a bit more... okay that's a little lie... I do tend to forget that the world doesn't revolve around me sometimes... and that's not a pathetic excuse, I really do get way too selfish at times. Christmas really does teach me that I should care about other people... even outside of the season. And that's I'm gonna do for you guys! I'll show you, my audience, how much I care about you by doing something Ultimate... An Advert-ent calendar! You get it? I put Advent and merged it with Advert as that what the British call commercials there? Well since some of my favorite YouTubers are doing Advent calendars or Vlog-mas, I've decided to unceremoniously do my own kind of advent thing... with ad uploads of course. One per day! Until the Spirit of giving arrives!

Ibuprofen Doesn't Work for Colds and Flus

06:41
A study published in the November issue of the British Medical Journal reported that ibuprofen and Tylenol had no beneficial effect on the symptoms of colds. In fact, they suspected that the illness was worsened by either drug. So, it neither reduced symptoms nor did anything to hurt the virus. You have to wonder what took so long for an article to be published showing these findings. Do you really think Big Pharma didn't know what this study found? It is amazing that drugs like these two that have so many serious side effects have found their way into the marketplace and made billions of dollars. It seems that Americans have been brainwashed into believing that drugs are the answer to good health! Wow! For more information, please visit www.doctorsaputo.com

How To Treat A Cold | How To Cure Common Cold | Best Medicine For A Cold And Fever And Sore Throat

How To Treat A Cold | How To Cure Common Cold | Best Medicine For A Cold, Fever & Sore Throat OTC Pharmacy Medicine A cold is a mild viral infection of the nose, throat, sinuses and upper airways. It's very common and usually clears up on its own within a week or two. Adults have an average of two to three colds a year. Children have an average of five to six colds a year. Young children in nursery schools may average up to twelve colds per year. The main symptoms of a cold include: • Sore throat • Blocked or runny nose • Sneezing • Cough More severe symptoms, including a high temperature (fever), headache and aching muscles can also occur, although these tend to be associated more with flu. WHAT TO DO: There's no cure for a cold, but you can look after yourself at home by, • Resting, drinking plenty of fluids and eating healthily. • Taking over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen to help with headaches, temperatures and even sore throats. • Using decongestant sprays to relieve a blocked nose. • Trying remedies such as gargling salt water to help with a sore throat (not suitable for children). Many painkillers, decongestants and other medicines are available from pharmacies without a prescription. When buying any medicine please always run it by your pharmacist so you they can make sure these medicines are ok for you to take. WHEN TO SEE YOUR GP: You only really need to contact your GP if: • Your symptoms persist for more than three weeks. • Your symptoms get suddenly worse. • You have breathing difficulties. • You develop complications of a cold, such as chest pain or coughing up bloodstained mucus. It might also be a good idea to speak to your Pharmacist or GP if you're concerned about your baby or an elderly person, or if you have a long-term illness such as a lung condition. You can also phone NHS 111 for advice. HOW TO STOP THE SPREAD OF A COLD: You can take some simple steps to help prevent the spread of a cold. For example: • Use your own cup, plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils. • Don't share towels or toys with someone who has a cold • Wash your hands regularly, particularly before touching your nose or mouth and before handling food. • Always sneeze and cough into tissues – this will help prevent the virus-containing droplets from your nose and mouth entering the air, where they can infect others; you should throw away used tissues immediately and wash your hands. • Clean surfaces regularly to keep them free of germs. Antibiotic Awareness: Head Cold or Sinusitis

02:11
Seattle Mama Doc shares how to tell the difference between bacteria or viral sinusitis, and at home treatments for viral sinusitis or head colds. Transcript: Sinusitis is caused by a virus or a common cold. That means most sinusitis, also known as a head cold, will get better without antibiotics. I'm Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson and in partnership with the Washington State Department of Health, I'm here today to talk to you about sinusitis. The most important information for you to remember is that most head colds or sinusitis do not need treatment with antibiotics. In fact, antibiotics can do more harm by killing off the good bacteria, and it can increase antibiotic resistance. How do you tell the difference between bacterial sinusitis and viral sinusitis or a head cold? Both viral and bacterial sinusitis start with symptoms of the common cold, such as low grade fever, nasal discharge, congestion, sneezing, and coughing. However, bacterial sinusitis is more likely when • symptoms of congestion, nasal discharge, and sinus pressure last for more than 10 days without improvement • worsen after having initially improved • severe from the onset, accompanied by a fever higher than 39 degrees Celsius or 102.2 Fahrenheit, and last for 3 or more days And that’s when it may require antibiotics. Viral sinusitis or a head cold may cause severe congestion, colored nasal discharge, and fever, but the fever usually does goes away after a couple of days, and congestion is usually improving by day 10. Most viral sinusitis or head colds can be treated at home without antibiotics. Home treatments for a head cold include taking it easy for a few days, nasal irrigation with saline or sterile water, drinking warm liquids, and taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen as needed for fever or pain. Even some mild bacterial sinusitis may improve without antibiotics. Thanks for listening to this information about sinusitis and avoid antibiotics whenever we can. I’m Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson in partnership with Washington State Department of Health.

How to Fix a Sore Throat within 2 Minutes! WITHOUT Pills, Herbs or Drugs

05:32
To get Dr. Berg Massage Tool: https://shop.drberg.com/massage-tool To make this easy to do on yourself, use Dr. Berg's device: https://shop.drberg.com/massage-tool Dr. Berg shows you how to relieve a sore throat fast. This technique will show you how to cure a sore throat within 2 minutes without any pills, herbs or drugs. Dr. Eric Berg DC show you how to relieve a sore throat fast. You will now be able to get rid of the pain from sore through simply by pressing on certain points in the back of your neck. This increase nerve flow, circulation and even lymph drainage. The key is pressing on the exact opposite part of your next. STEP 1 Rate your pain from a scale from 0 to 10 (10 being the worst, 0 being no pain) STEP 2 Draw an imaginary circle from the sore throat to the back part of your neck. STEP 3 Press equally on the exact opposite points on the back part of your neck. Do this for 2 minutes. To ensure you are on the correct points, you will feel a very tight, stiff and ridged area while you are doing this as well being very tender. The exact opposite point where the sore throat is will be extremely tender. Adjust location by moving upward and downward until all stiffness is loosened up. STEP 4 Re-rate the pain in your sore throat. SPECIAL NOTE: If the pain reduces, but does not fully go away, ask the person to point to the new location of the pain as it may have shifted up or down. Then apply your pressure opposing this pain in the back part of your neck. If you are doing this on yourself, I recommend using the massage tool to lean back on your coach or a tall back chair. You will want to do this a few times per day over the next week or two. A Scientific Way to Cure a Headache Without Painkillers

02:54
When you have a headache and the pill you need isn’t at hand, the situation seems hopeless. But it isn’t so. There’s a scientific way to get rid of a headache called acupressure. Today, we will tell you about this technique which removes a headache effectively and quickly. Let us know in the comments below if this video is beneficial to you. And if so, hit that thumbs up button – it really helps our channel grow! TIMESTAMPS Acupressure 0:17 Yintang point 1:10 Zan Zhu points 1:23 Yingxiang points 1:39 Tian Zhu points 1:55 Shuai gu points 2:10 He Gu points 2:23 SUMMARY - The point of the third eye, or Yintang, is situated between the eyebrows in the place where the bridge of the nose passes into the forehead. This point is also responsible for eye fatigue removal. - These symmetrical points are located at the base of the inner edge of the eyebrows. Massaging this area also relieves a runny nose and improves visual acuity. Massage for 1 minute by pressing or circular movements, and you’ll feel relief. - These points are located on both sides of the nostrils in line with the eyes. To find them, feel a dimple in the bottom of the cheekbones. It helps to open sinuses, reduce a headache and toothache, and relieve stress. - The fourth points, Tian Zhu points, are located behind the head in the middle, between the ear and the beginning of the spine. Massaging these points helps you relieve nasal congestion, pain in the eyes and ears, severe headaches, and migraines. - The Shuai gu points are situated 2-3 cm from the beginning of the hairline in the temple area. Feel a small dimple to find this point. Pressure applied to this area relieves pain in the temporal region and eye fatigue. - The last ones are He Gu points. These symmetrical points are located on the back of the hand between the thumb and forefinger. Pressure applied to this area also relieves back pain, toothache, and tension in the neck muscles. We’ve tried massaging all these points – it really works! What about you? How to treat a cold

00:21
Cold symptoms come on gradually and can include: blocked or runny nose sore throat headaches muscle aches coughs sneezing a high temperature (more than 38C in adults, 37.5C in children) pressure in your ears and face loss of taste and smell The symptoms are the same in adults and children. Sometimes, symptoms last longer in children. A pharmacist can help with cold medicines You can buy cough and cold medicines from pharmacies or supermarkets. A pharmacist can advise you on the best medicine. You can: relieve a blocked nose with decongestant sprays or tablets ease aches or lower a temperature with painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen Be careful not to use them if you’re taking paracetamol and ibuprofen tablets as it’s easy to take more than the recommended dose. Some are not suitable for children, babies and pregnant women. There’s little evidence that supplements (such as vitamin c, zinc, echinacea or garlic) prevent colds or speed up recovery.
