What is Bokah Blocks?
These aren't your ordinary toy blocks. Bokah Blocks is a new premium, wooden construction block toy made up of only two simple parts: the Bokah and the Bendy. Bokah blocks are a family of four sizes: Tinys, Smalls, Halfys and Longs. Bendys are single-size, flexible units that have the ability to stretch, pull, bend, and twist. They are the magical little keys to Bokah Blocks.
When a Bendy connects two Bokahs, a special joint is created. These special joints bring your creations to life. Unlike traditional building blocks, Bokah's interlocking joint mechanism lets you create rotating and moving parts. This is what makes Bokah Blocks extraordinary! Build small or big. Build simple or complex. Experience a new way of building with Bokah Blocks.
Bokah Blocks is an easy-to-play construction toy that invites any person to build. The two basic components, the Bokah and the Bendy, make it simple and intuitive for anyone of any age to understand how Bokah Blocks works. They are consciously designed to easily signal the user how the parts can be joined together. This visual relationship between Bokahs and Bendys is unmistakable. It allows kids and adults alike to understand the basic function of Bokah Blocks without instructions.
Although simple in design, Bokah Blocks is engaging and challenging because you can create rotating and moving parts. The patent-pending joint system of Bokah Blocks brings an innovative approach to building that heightens play value. With Bokah Blocks, you can build strong forms that don't have to remain static. Your blocks can become interactive. At that, Bokah Blocks brings new and exciting dimensions to playing and building. This toy allows kids to dictate the direction of play by putting their imagination and creativity in the driving seat.
Bokah Blocks permeates a timeless sense of nostalgia with its natural unstained wood, but embodies modern design. We use premium, Pennsylvanian-grown solid basswood, which ensures that each Bokah block is strong and durable. Carefully considered and designed from start to finish, Bokah Blocks are made in the USA.
The Ultimate Backpack Set is our very first Bokah Blocks product. It is a large building set, comprised of 219 assorted pieces, ideal for a wide range of open-ended play. There are 119 Bokah blocks and 100 Bendys. The block assortment comes in 4 different lengths: 20 Longs (8"), 33 Halfys (4"), 39 Smalls (2"), and 27 Tinys (1.25").
Bokah Blocks was created to fulfill an important educational objective in the realm of building toys. Our purpose was to provide the best possible and most memorable construction learning experiences for children and adults alike.
As the developers of this toy, we were very much concerned with providing fresh, user-friendly, and renewable playing methods, which foster and improve spatial thinking, fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the creative reasoning of children 4 years and older.
So how does Bokah Blocks do that? It is the first of its kind to introduce interlocking joints into wooden building blocks. With the easy-to-understand, versatile joint system, kids are encouraged to explore an unprecedented range of dynamic building and learning possibilities unique to Bokah Blocks.
The concept of gender neutrality was never a question for Bokah Blocks. For us, Leo and Lele together were the quintessential embodiment of this objective. They were always a part of Bokah Blocks, and our research into contemporary dialogue regarding the negative effects of gender-coded toys confirmed the need for gender neutrality in this field.
Bokah Blocks is a new breed of construction toy that aims to eliminate gender typing and fully supports the gender development of all children. Bokah Blocks is not just for boys, nor is it just for girls. Bokah Blocks is for everyone because building is for everyone.
