Calcium: It contracts & dilates heart muscle and makes blood flow smoother Foods to consume: Milk, tofu & yogurt 2. Potassium: Balances excess water in body and lowers blood pressure Foods to consume: Coconut water, fruits like bananas, dates, oranges, pomegranate, figs, mangoes, muskmelon & vegetables like broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, and bell peppers 3. Magnesium: Relaxes muscles that controls blood vessels Foods to consume: Almonds, walnuts, barley, spinach, pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds 4. Lack of exercise, especially aerobic exercises such as walking, swimming, and cycling. 5. Anxiety and stress 6. Smoking. 7. high-fat diet, especially saturated fat, eating fast food Garlic may be the best treatment for high blood pressure, according to studies, garlic help to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol, and strengthen the heart. Blood pressure or hypertension is a silent killer and it can go unnoticed if you don’t check it regularly and it can be dangerous. So diet recommendation would be to lower down your salt, sodium, alcohol, caffeine and to increase potassium, calcium, and magnesium. So the recommendation would be having whole cereals and legumes, fibre rich food which reduces weight to some extent. Having lean meat, low fat curd and meat products and having more fruits and vegetables including sprouts some dry fruits because some of the dry fruits are rich in vitamin E and others are rich in omega 3 fatty acids like walnuts and flax seeds. You have to do exercise as well. People who are having high BP should restrict their salt like 1 gram to 1.5 grams a day. Foods which are high in sodium or salt content or some of the commercial foods like pizzas, salty biscuits, cheese, pickles and chips etc. So if you restrict all of them it would be very much helpful because adding cheese and pickles to healthy food also will make sodium high. If you are taking alcohol on a regular basis then it affects the absorption of some medications effectively. Caffeine increases your blood pressure. So you have to restrict to only one cup a day or completely give up. Follow all these diet restrictions and be healthy. Having BP cervical yoga postures will help. There are few yoga postures which help in relieving the neck pain. There are few yoga poses which help in reducing the weight like kapalbhati. They would help in relieving the symptoms of high BP also. There are different therapies for anxiety. By treating the deficiencies and having a very healthy diet will help in all three conditions. So nutrition can be used as alternative therapy for all these conditions by dealing with the deficiencies. So you follow a very healthy diet and stay healthy.

Try our cream of broccoli with milk. Consume 30 g of fiber per day Vegetables, fruits, legumes and whole grains are all good sources of fiber. Try our strawberry sorbet and banana cereal sprinkled sound. Limit your sodium intake to 2300 mg per day Nearly 80% of the salt consumed by North Americans comes from processed foods such as deli meats, canned soups, pickles, frozen entrees, sauces and condiments. Read all labels and try to eat less processed foods. Try these homemade recipes for low sodium but high in flavor: Pickles pickled dill-free salt substitute salted varieties A frozen turkey breast with mustard and apricot replace frozen foods and prepared meats Learn about the DASH diet. [Available only in English] Every effort is high Most Canadians do not meet the recommendations of Canada's Food Guide or the DASH diet. For example, most adults consume about half the recommended amount of vegetables and fruit, not enough dairy products and more than 3000 mg of sodium per day. In a recent survey on eating habits, the Canadian Council of Food and Nutrition revealed that the first change made by the Canadians was to eat more fruits and vegetables, this is already good news. The introduction of a single element of the DASH diet (eating more potassium-rich foods such as bananas and potatoes) helps reduce blood pressure. However, combining several elements of the plan, the benefits in the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure are more important.
