However I’m here to tell you that it goes through the threat of your entire life if you are anything like me. I was a pack a day smoker for many years, and I did everything, I smoked over everything, I smoked with everything, so it went through every aspect of my life. So there were great side effects, good side effects, bad side effects and hopeless side effects. Focus on the really good ones. Focus on the fact that you won’t smell bad, you won’t look bad, you’ll have one less thing that people will be getting on your nerves about saying, WHY DON’T YA? That’s always very helpful and in fact that should you’ll be teaching people, if you have children you will be showing them that you can overcome the most difficult things. So those are the good side effects. Some of the bad side effects can be that, well maybe good actually; you might have to get rid of some people in your life. But, some of those people you may not want in your life anyway. Either way you are going to stay away from some people for a little while. Even people you love if they still smoke because that’s too triggering. And the other side effects can be really bad also like a little, weight gain, but I’m here to tell you, I gained some weight, I don’t know if you could see, but I think you can that I’m not crazily overweight anymore. Because one of the good side effects came out of that bad side effect. I gained some weight which made me decide to start exercising, which ended up being a good side effect. So you’re getting the drift? It’s a big life change and it’s a day at a time and it’s a process. So get into your process, don’t be afraid of it, get excited about, of where you are going to end up.

So, till you continue smoking there is only influx of chemicals, once you stop it, the body tries to repair itself, so wherein the chemicals will be slowly removed from the lungs and will be sent upwards the throat through the windpipe. These chemicals coming out of the wind pipe will induce a lot of local reaction both in the windpipe and in the throat leading to a lot of symptoms like flu, cough, excess mucus production, mucus can look even blackish because of the carbon particles. That inflammation gives flu like symptoms, it also leads to dry mouth because of the constant irritation, chemical induced burning sensation. Once you have the irritation in throat, you start having the tendency to clear the throat regularly and spit out the mucus which worsens the dryness, and dry mouth will keep continuing for a long term. This outflux of chemicals and carbon particles will happen till such a time that lung is sufficiently cleared itself. So, these symptoms are more prominent within the first few months of cessation of smoking. If the person smokes again, the outflux will be stopped, and the person feels better. This is the reason for most of the relapses of smoking, they start feeling better whenever they smoke, so they go back to that smoking again. If you understand that it is the outflux of chemicals cleansing the body, then you’ll not go back to smoking.Simple remedy is just to retain the mucus back in the throat whatever color, quantity or thickness it is. You're going to lose the elasticity in your face so much faster then you would if you were just a clean, healthy non-smoker. I know that women are not persuaded to quit smoking because of things like cancer and what it is doing internally. But I can be pretty persuasive by telling you you're just going to age so much faster than someone who doesn't smoke. Your cheeks are going to lose elasticity super fast because you're holding that cigarette with all of that nasty smoke right by your face. Think about it before you pick up a pack of cigarettes and try to consider, "what am I doing to my skin when i smoke this cigarette?"

It's for you to decide and understand how this could effect your body in the same way. *The exhale hose is clearly shown at the start. *if all the smoke had been blown back through the cotton, the results would have been twice as bad! *The smoke was drawn through and around the cotton, catching some, not all, of the chemicals and tar (evident by the accumulation in the hoses) *The average smoker smokes one pack a day. (Google) *The machine was set to smoke each cigarette at the same pace each time. * Every single cigarette was smoked. 30 packs, 20 per pack equals 600 cigarettes. . *Each cigarette was smoked 3/4 of the way to reflect real world smoking allowing a quarter of it to just burn away while talking or thinking. *It took a day to set up and another 3 days for the machine to smoke all of the cigarettes. *The results are real and actual from the cigarettes. Nothing was altered. *Between each cigarette that was smoked, the chamber was cleared of smoke. *The scenes were sped up or time lapsed to keep the video interesting and not too long. *Each cigarette that was smoked, the smoke was drawn through and past the cotton balls, through the connecting hoses, into the pump and exhausted into the air. *The smoke was not held in the glass chamber which many commenters have suggested. *The black tar goo accumulation in the hoses showed up after only 10 packs. Tar from the next 20 packs overflowed and got sucked into the pump. It eventually ruined the pump. *With actual smoking, you also blow the smoke out past all of the same organs twice which could actually be worse than this test. *Whether the machine smoked the cigarettes all at once, or bit by bit, it's the same amount of smoke, the results would be the same. *Your lungs aren't cotton balls and plastic tubes. At least with cotton balls and tubes you can swap them out. You can't buy new lungs. *Lungs do self clean. That self cleaning mechanism is supposed to take care of dust and debris from normal breathing in poor environments. They weren't meant to be overwhelmed on an hourly basis by smoke from a burning object. *The smell of the tar and cotton balls at the end was vile. I felt quite ill afterwards. Let me start by saying, dry mouth is more than a nuisance, it can lead to major dental problems and many of my patients report that it interferes with sound sleep, causing them to wake up multiple times with cotton mouth. And let's face it, when you don't sleep you feel terrible on top of whatever aches, pains, and health hassles you may have. That's why it angers me when doctors just brush off patients with dry mouth, usually telling them to chew gum or pick up some Biotene mouthwash at the local pharmacy. Dry mouth is usually caused by one of six main things: first is a condition called Sjogrens where the body attacks the fluid producing cells, literally killing off the saliva producing cells in the mouth; number two, prescription and non-prescription medications, in fact, there are literally hundreds of drugs that can cause dry mouth as an unwanted side effect, third, mild dehydration, makes sense, lack of fluids of course leads to drying of the tissues; four, mouth-breathing, this is usually caused by sinus problems; fifth is smoking, and sixth is extenuating circumstances, this would include things like radiation therapy, nerve damage, and use of a sleep apnea machine. So, now that we know the causes, I want to give you three recommendations that can work regardless of why you have the dry mouth. I will say though, if you know the cause and that cause is something you can fix, such as with smoking and dehydration, then you owe it to yourself to correct those malfunctions in your lifestyle. If it's not something under your control, then here are three things to do to decrease the dry mouth and protect your teeth from the negative consequences of long term dry mouth. First, is something you can buy online that will deliver immediate results and it is a favorite of my patients. It's called Xylitol Melts. If you have dry mouth, this is a must for you. I have placed a link to buy the Xylimelts online in the description below this video. Xylimelts are little discs that you stick to the inside of your gums and it slowly melts (over many hours), delivering a natural sugar called Xylitol, to lubricate the mouth and prevent bacterial growth. Best of all, it's safe with all medications and fine for diabetics as well. Simply stick a disc on the inside of your gum as needed. You can also stick two discs at night before bed on opposite sides of the mouth and you'll get the moisturizing effect all night long. The next supplement that is essential for anyone with dry mouth is omega-7 fatty acids. You've probably heard about omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil, however, omega-7 fats are especially helpful for those suffering from dry mouth because it seems to lubricate the body from the inside out. Now, before you go out and purchase sea-buckthorn oil, which is the most commonly found omega-7 supplement, there is a better source of omega-7 called Provinol. Imagine this alternative could help millions of people quit smoking and came with only a fraction of the harmful chemicals that cigarettes do. Well, you don’t have to imagine it. It exists. E-cigarettes are the most innovative and promising smoking-cessation product yet invented. So, public health officials and anti-tobacco activists are all in favor of this life-saving innovation, right? Actually, they’re almost all totally against it. Why? Because, incredibly, they make no substantial distinction between e-cigarettes and real cigarettes -- even though they are completely different products. To begin with, e-cigarettes aren’t cigarettes. They contain no tobacco. Instead, a liquid containing nicotine derived from tobacco leaves is vaporized, and users of e-cigarettes inhale that vapor. Vapor, mind-you – not smoke. This is significant because the real harm from tobacco comes from the combustion process, which releases hundreds of toxic compounds known as tar. E-cigarettes do contain nicotine, an addictive drug. However, there is little evidence that nicotine alone is bad for you, making it similar to, say, caffeine--a drug used every day by millions of people. Brad Rodu, an oral cancer specialist at the University of Louisville, put it this way: “I love coffee, and I’m sure I could get caffeine if I smoked my coffee beans…but I would be paying a much different price in overall health [if I did].” In other words, when it comes to addictive substances like caffeine or nicotine, it isn’t the addictive substance that’s harmful; it’s how it’s delivered. As South African psychiatrist Mike Russell said about cigarettes: “[People] smoke for [the] nicotine, but they die from the tar.” And again, there’s no tar in e-cigarettes. Does this all mean e-cigarettes are completely safe? Of course not. Nothing is completely safe. E-cigarettes are a relatively new innovation so more research is needed, especially on long-term effects. There’s also a place for sensible regulation to ensure consumer safety. But unlike normal everyday products, any potential risk posed by e-cigarettes is far outweighed by a real – not potential – good: saving lives by providing the nicotine that smokers enjoy without delivering the deadly toxins that can kill them. Many former smokers have successfully used e-cigarettes to help them kick their nicotine addiction altogether. A recent study in an Oxford Journal peer-reviewed publication, Nicotine and Tobacco Research, said that e-cigarettes could reduce smoking-related deaths by 21 percent.
