Is Soy Milk Good For Diabetes

Is Soy Milk Good or Bad For Diabetes? Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is soy milk good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Soy milk. The first thing I wanted to know was how it is made. It is not a complicated process but basically it is made by pressing soybeans that have been cooked and then ground. The result is a high protein, iron rich milky liquid. Soy and cow milk differ in many ways. Obviously taste is one. But nutritionally is higher in protein and iron and is cholesterol free. It is low in fat and low in sodium. It is also, however, low in calcium. There are a lot of different opinions about soy and the products made from it. But you would hard pressed to look in the refrigerators or cupboards of many Americans and not find something with a soy product in it. When researching this subject, I wanted to look at how soy milk might be a benefit to those of us with diabetes. Not just say it is good because of its nutritional value. I turned to a study on soy protein by a doctoral student Sandra R. Teixeira of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research focused on the use of soy proteins to show how it can improve kidney functions and heart disease. These two complications are especially important. Diabetes is the number cause of kidney failure, mainly due to protein leaking into the kidneys. The study included 14 men, aged 53 to 73 years, with type 2 diabetes, all of whom had a diagnosis of diabetes-related kidney disease. The men received pre-measured amounts of either soy protein or animal meat protein. Those who added the soy protein at their diet had a significant reduction in protein found in their urine. Those with animal protein actually had an increase of protein in their urine. The researchers say they expected the soy supplements to stabilize urine protein levels, but they did not expect the reduction. As far as heart disease, those with soy protein added to their diet saw an increase in their HDL (good) cholesterol. So, is soy milk good for diabetes? Considering the positive effect of soy protein on our bodies and that soy milk is packed with soy protein, I say yes as a substitute for other types of animal milk. I do want to dispel a few rumors I found while researching. Soy contains plant estrogen. It will not affect your estrogen hormone levels whatsoever. Plant estrogen and human estrogen are totally different. I found several scientific studies stating plant estrogen had no effect on men or women as far as hormone levels. Also, I found no scientific research supporting claims that lectins and goitrogens are harmful to the human body. I hope this answered your question is soy milk good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

How To Cure Diabetes Naturally Without Medication - Cure Diabetes at Home

02:14
How To Cure Diabetes Naturally Without Medication - Cure Diabetes at Home The Cause of Diabetes Diabetes is an illness related to elevated blood sugar levels. Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. The damage to the pancreatic cells leads to reduced ability or complete inability to create insulin. Some of the common causes that trigger this autoimmune response may include a virus, GMO organisms, heavy metals, vaccines, or foods like wheat, cows milk, and soy. The reason foods like wheat and cows milk have been linked to diabetes is because they contain the proteins gluten and A1 casein. These proteins can cause leaky gut which in turn causes systemic inflammation throughout the body and overtime can lead to autoimmune disease. In order to reduce the autoimmune response and improve type 1 diabetes, I suggest you implement the advice in this article and follow the steps I layout for you here: 4 Steps to Heal Leaky Gut and Autoimmune Disease. Type 1 Diabetes is rarely reversed but with the right dietary changes major improvements in blood sugar levels can be seen and a person can often reduce their dependence on insulin and medications. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and is caused by insulin resistance. It is a metabolic disorder that is caused by high blood sugar. The body can keep up for a period of time by producing more insulin, but over time the insulin receptors sites get burned out. Now, we know the main causative factors in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes include foods that spike blood sugar levels and cause intestinal inflammation. Next, let’s go over the top foods you MUST get out of your diet to reverse type 2 diabetes and support overall health for type 1 diabetes. Foods You Must Remove to Reverse Diabetes Naturally Refined sugar rapidly spikes blood glucose and soda, fruit juice and other sugary beverages are the worst culprits. These forms of sugar enter the blood stream rapidly and can cause extreme elevations in blood glucose. Even though natural sweeteners like raw honey and maple syrup are better options, they can still affect blood sugar. Your best option is to switch to stevia. Grains, especially gluten containing grains like wheat, contain large amounts of carbohydrates which are broken down into sugar within a few minutes of consumption. As discussed earlier, gluten can cause intestinal inflammation which affects hormones like cortisol and leptin, and can lead to spikes in blood sugar. I would remove all grains from your diet for your first 90 days on this healing program and after that time you can introduce back in sprouted ancient grains in small amounts. Conventional cow’s milk, should be eliminated especially for type 1 diabetics. Dairy can be a fantastic food for balancing blood sugar if it comes from goat’s, sheep, or A2 cows. Stay away from all other forms of dairy because the A1 casein produced by conventional cows will harm the body and trigger an immune response similar to gluten. When buying dairy, only purchase raw and organic from pasture raised animals. Alcohol can dangerously increase blood sugar and lead to liver toxicity. Beer and sweet liquors are high in carbohydrates and should be avoided. GMO corn, soy, and canola have been linked to kidney and liver disease and may promote diabetes. I suggest removing all GMO foods and all packaged foods from your diet. Also, remove hydrogenated oils from your diet including vegetable oil, soybean oil, cottonseed oil, and canola oil. Top Foods to Cure Diabetes If you want to reverse diabetes quickly or prevent diabetes I suggest you add the following foods into your diet. High fiber foods help slow down glucose absorption. Aim for at least 30g of fiber per day from vegetables, avocados, berries, nuts, and seeds. Foods high in chromium can improve GTF glucose tolerance factor in your body and naturally balance out blood glucose levels. Broccoli, raw cheese, green beans and grass-fed beef are all high in chromium, however broccoli has the highest amounts by far. MCFA’s found in coconut and red palm oil can help balance blood sugar levels and be a preferred fuel source for your body rather than sugar. Wild-caught fish contain Omega-3 fats and reduce inflammation which can help counteract some of the negative effects of elevated blood glucose. Foods with a low glycemic load tend to not spike blood sugar as much as high glycemic foods. Low glycemic foods include vegetables, nuts, seeds, avocados, coconut, organic meat, eggs, wild caught fish and raw pastured dairy.

When you raise your IGF-1 levels you greatly increase your risk of cancer. Visit Dr McDougall's Website https://www.drmcdougall.com/ I believe a low fat raw food vegan diet is optimal for humans however a low fat plant based diet is still a wonderful way to start improving your health, lose weight, cure diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, IBS &Crohns, migraines, etc! Is Milk Good For Diabetes?

03:40
Is Milk Good or Bad For Diabetes Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is milk good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid) and other tips to better manage your blood sugar to avoid complications. I really love milk. To me there is not much better than an ice cold glass of milk and a warm peanut butter cookie for dessert. Now I make my own PB cookies, they are sugar free with no flour so they do not affect my blood sugar a great deal. But I had never really done much research on milk until I was asked this question. So let’s learn together about this beverage so many enjoy. Now first of all, for the purposes of this video, when I say milk, I am talking about good old fashion cow’s milk you buy in the store. I am not talking about goats milk or almond milk or any other kind of product that is associated with milk, not even milk chocolate. Just regular cow’s milk. I was told by several people who know my love for milk, that I shouldn’t drink it because it is not good for diabetes or for weight control. I decided to see if there was any scientific evidence to support their claim. I did not. Instead I found several studies saying just the opposite. A 2008 French study concluded, “Prospective trials have shown an independent negative correlation between dairy food consumption and overweight, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and ischaemic cardiovascular diseases. Large amounts of calcium can reduce intestinal fat absorption. They can also reduce lipogenesis, through an inhibitory effect on calcium calcitriol-mediated intracellular fluxes. Some soluble aminoacids appear to reduce appetite and may also improve tissular insulin sensitivity, insulin secretion, arterial pressure and cardiovascular morbidity. Milk and dairy foods are recommended for patients with obesity, diabetes, hypertension and metabolic syndrome, and also for patients at risk.” A 2016 study came to basically the same conclusion stating, “Evidence suggests that there is an inverse association between the consumption of milk products and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. High-fat milk products are not associated with type 2 diabetes. In fact, certain dairy fatty acids may have a beneficial role in the prevention of type 2 diabetes. The association between different types of milk products and the risk of diabetes is less clear, but evidence suggests that yogurt and cheese may be protective against type 2 diabetes.” So is milk good for diabetes? Not only is it good for diabetes, it can possibly prevent it. For those of us with diabetes, we cannot prevent something we have, but milk will certainly help you control your weight, blood sugar and essentially control your diabetes. I hope this answered your question is milk good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book by clicking the link in the description box below. Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

Dr. Runyan is a physician in private practice in St. Petersburg, Florida, who specializes in internal medicine, nephrology, and obesity medicine. He practised emergency medicine for ten years before starting his private practice in 2001. In 1998, he developed type 1 diabetes at the age of thirty-eight. Although, his diabetes was fairly well controlled with intensive insulin therapy, he was plagued with frequent hypoglycemic episodes. In 2011, while training for an Ironman-distance triathlon, Dr. Runyan was looking for a better way to treat his diabetes and perform endurance exercise, and he decided to give the low-carb, high-fat, ketogenic diet a try. In February 2012, he began the diet for the treatment of is diabetes and learned that this diet was also effective for the treatment of numerous other conditions, including obesity. He added obesity medicine to his practice and became board-certified in obesity medicine in December 2012. Dr. Runyan completed an Ironman-distance triathlon on October 20, 2012, in a state of nutritional ketosis and feeling great. ---- Website - http://www.DrKRunyan.com Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/KeithRunyanMD Buy Keto Clarity via Amazon UK - http://www.SmashTheFat.com/KetoUK Buy Keto Clarity via Amazon US - http://www.SmashTheFat.com/KetoUS ---- Just want the audio? Is Soy a Good Source of Protein? | HealthiNation

03:11
Soy is complicated, and there's a lot of conflicting information out there. Click for the straight story. Related Videos: High-Protein Vegetarian Foods | HealthiNation http://youtu.be/2kJtsOTLHWk Complex Carbs vs. Simple Carbs | HealthiNation http://youtu.be/fmGNiRYDI1w Soy has been getting "soy" much attention lately. However, there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Let's start with "What is soy?" Soy is in the legume or bean family that is native to southeastern Asia. Although it has been part of the Asian diet for thousands of years, soybeans were only introduced to America about 200 years ago. Now, the United States produces about half of the world's supply of soybeans. Soybeans contain 35 to 40 percent protein. These soybean proteins are "complete," which means they contain significant amounts of all the essential amino acids our bodies need but cannot make on our own. That is why soy protein can be a great substitute for animal-based protein, which also has complete proteins but contains more fat. The fat in animal protein is especially unhealthy because it is saturated fat (the "bad" kind of fat), combined with cholesterol. For such a tiny package, soy is a dietary powerhouse when it comes to biological action. That is because soybeans are uniquely rich in certain bioactive molecules called isoflavones. An isoflavone can function as both an anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant (counteracting the damaging effects of free radicals in our cells). Isoflavones can even kill parasites. There are different forms of isoflavones. Some forms are more bioavailable, which means our bodies can use them more easily than others. Most traditional Asian soy foods generally contain more of the bioavailable kind of soy than do Western foods. Isoflavones are found in a number of plants besides soy like fava beans and coffee. You can find a lot of products made with soy, but watch out for processed soy foods. Although processed soy is usually high in protein, it typically contains lower levels of isoflavones. In addition to any possible biological action from isoflavones, many soy products are believed to be healthful. This is because of their high content of polyunsaturated fats (the "good" kind), fiber, vitamins and minerals, and their low content of saturated fat (the "bad" kind). Eating soy foods might lower the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers like breast and prostate cancers, as well as improve bone health and give relief from menopausal symptoms. However, if you dig through all the medical literature you will find that it is complicated and we don't have all the answers yet. Bottom line: If you are using soy protein to replace artery-clogging animal protein in your diet, then you're switching out saturated fat and bad cholesterol for a wiser protein source. That is a good idea. However, if you are hoping to stave off heart disease with small amounts of processed soy or soy supplements, the benefits are less certain. And if you are looking to soy protein or isoflavones to improve menopausal symptoms, postmenopausal bone loss, prevent or treat breast and prostate cancers, a lot more research needs to be done before a strong recommendation can be made. As part of a balanced diet, it's "soy" good. Sources Jenkins DJA, Mirrahimi A, Srichaikul K, et al. Soy Protein Reduces Serum Cholesterol by Both Intrinsic and Food Displacement Mechanisms. Soy Oligopeptide - Blood Glucose Buffer (Diabetes)

06:11
WHO estimates that more than 346 million people worldwide have diabetes. Without intervention this number is likely to more than double, and around 470 million people are projected to have prediabetes by 2030. Drugs and medicine are there to control your disease, but nutrition supplement is here to heal you inside out and outside in. Soy oligopeptides loosens and break starch complex molecules. Soy oligopeptide ease the conversion of sugar to glucose for a much efficient uptake of glucose by the cells for metabolism, thus reducing blood sugar level and prevent complications of rise in blood glucose. As the intake of soy oligopeptides produced hypoglycemic mechanism has nothing to do with insulin secretion, it will not increase the burden on insulin's function. Therefore, soy oligopeptide is a safe and reliable health food buffer. 5 Diabetic Diets Plan for Weight Loss - Part 1

03:04
1. Paleo Diet Eating a Paleo diet essentially means favoring real, whole food in its purest form. Food is more than fuel. Food components provide information to our genes that turns them on or off to either promote wellness or disease. Eating nutritious, whole foods that contain minimal antinutrients helps nudge our genes to support optimal health. Diabetes focus: A preliminary, three-month study compared the Paleo diet with the standard diabetes diet in people with type 2 diabetes and found the Paleo diet was more satiating (filling) per calorie. It also produced significantly more weight loss, plus better blood sugar control, improved cholesterol, and lower diastolic blood pressure. What you eat: Schmidt suggests gradually cutting foods that aren't allowed while focusing on eating whole fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, healthful oils (such as olive and coconut), and high-quality proteins including lean grass-fed meats, poultry, eggs, and low-mercury fish rich in omega-3 fats, such as salmon. 2. Weight Watchers The premise of this program is learning how to manage real food decisions in real-life situations. It's structured like a four-legged table, and each leg - food, behavior change, activity, and support - is essential for success. A new two-week Simple Start feature helps you eat right and lose weight without a focus on tracking food points. Diabetes focus: The program is not specifically designed for people with diabetes, but it is based on common healthy lifestyle principles. With the assistance of your health care team, it can be adapted to your individual needs and paired with carb counting. What you eat: The Simple Start program includes two weeks of easy meal ideas and recipes with photos, plus a shopping list of satisfying, everyday foods that don't trigger overeating. Foods emphasized include nonstarchy vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, and flavor enhancers such as plain fat-free Greek yogurt, dried seasonings, fresh herbs, or reduced-sodium soy sauce. 5 Diabetic Diets Plan for Weight Loss - Part 2 video: https://youtu.be/H3JSCxjVbV4 5 Diabetic Diets Plan for Weight Loss - Part 3 video: https://youtu.be/zSRs_5KgH_0

In today's episode of "The Sitch," the first of a 3-part series on the health effects of soy, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Whitney English is breaking down the bs on soy and cancer. Think soy causes cancer? Think again! Research shows soy consumption likely prevents many types of cancer including breast and prostate cancer and reduces the risk of reoccurrence in cancer survivors. Type 2 Diabetes Natural Treatment

Learn how to destroy diabetes: http://theictmstore.org Foods You Must Remove to Reverse Diabetes Naturally Refined sugar rapidly spikes blood glucose and soda, fruit juice and other sugary beverages are the worst culprits.

Whole vs. Skim: Which Milk Is Better For You?

Researchers have found that skim milk might actually increase your risk for diabetes. So, how much milk fat should you be drinking? Even the latest dietary guidelines for Americans urge people to avoid the full fat, and following this lead, school lunch programs provide only low-fat milk and no whole milk at all, even though they do allow chocolate skim milk with its added sugars. But large population studies that look at possible links between full-fat dairy consumption, weight and disease risk are starting to call that advice into question." The Relationship Between High-Fat Dairy Consumption and Obesity, Cardiovascular, and Metabolic Disease http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22810464 "The observational evidence does not support the hypothesis that dairy fat or high-fat dairy foods contribute to obesity or cardiometabolic risk, and suggests that high-fat dairy consumption within typical dietary patterns is inversely associated with obesity risk. Although not conclusive, these findings may provide a rationale for future research into the bioactive properties of dairy fat and the impact of bovine feeding practices on the health effects of dairy fat." A new study published in Circulation indicates that full-fat dairy, like whole milk, may be healthier than low-fat dairy, like skim milk. Researchers analyzed the blood of 3,333 adults taken over 15 years and discovered that people who had higher levels of three different byproducts of full-fat dairy had an average 46 percent lower risk of developing diabetes." ____________________ DNews is dedicated to satisfying your curiosity and to bringing you mind-bending stories & perspectives you won't find anywhere else!
