ARE YOU VITAMIN B12-DEFICIENCY? STOP IGNORING THESE DANGEROUS SIGNS IMMEDIATELY!

02:35
ARE YOU VITAMIN B12-DEFICIENCY? STOP IGNORING THESE DANGEROUS SIGNS IMMEDIATELY! Vitamin B12 is a powerhouse. It helps make DNA, nerve and blood cells, and is crucial for a healthy brain and immune system. Your metabolism wouldn't run smoothly without it. But B12 isn't like other vitamins. It's only found in animal products like eggs, meat, shellfish, and dairy. Up to 15% of people don't get enough B12, and they're more likely to be vegetarians, have celiac disease or other digestion problems, or be an adult over 50. The signs of vitamin B12 deficiency include exhaustion, What vital body functions does Vitamin B12 support? The secretion of more adrenal hormones The creation of red blood cells The preservation of our nerve system’s health The transportation of oxygen to our brain The proper circulation The formation of nerves Our digestion The absorption of iron The reduction of fat and carbohydrates The functioning of women’s reproductive system Which are the symptoms that indicate you’re B12 deficient? You’re constantly tired and find it hard to keep eyes open. All of this is because your blood does not have enough oxygen, and the body does not have the energy it needs. A repeated feeling of numbness, and sensation of ‘pins and needles’. Both indicate that the lack of Vitamin B12 has probably caused nerve damage. Loss of papillae bumps on the tongue, which prevents us from recognizing the taste off any food we may be eating Paleness and yellow skin due to blood cell degradation Short-term memory loss, in particular for young people where dementia is almost impossible A non-stop feeling of dizziness which also reveals lack of oxygen in our blood A feeling of sadness and anxiousness, because when vitamin B12 levels are not hang enough, there are no ‘happiness chemicals’ such as dopamine and serotonin. Severe nerve disorders, hearing and sight problems such as doubled vision. B12 can also cause shadows to appear in your visual field. Complementary sources of B12 Due the fact that B12 is not essential for plants to perform their metabolic processes, they are not producing it. Instead, we should look for it in fortified and animal-origin food, as for instance: Fish and Seafood – Cod, Shrimp, Sardines, Salmon, Scallop, Tuna Meat – Pork, beef, lamb, goat, chicken, turkey Eggs- The yolk, where all vitamins and minerals are stored Dairy foods – Milk, Cheese (all sorts), Yoghurt Coconut Milk Fortified foods for vegans In case you’re already feeling weak and tired, but have no logical reason to be so, don’t lose more time. Test the amount of B12 in your blood, because this vitamin is easy to find, but difficult to absorb. Carefully observe the signs, and adjust your nutrition to ensure a higher intake of this important vitamin.

I wanted to give a warning to anyone taking cyanocobalamin b12 supplements and also educate people on this subject so they can make sure in the future to never take this highly toxic b12 supplement. The most common form of vitamin B-12 (cobalamin) in supplements is cyanocobalamin and this form includes a cyanide molecule, upon taking this supplement a small percentage of it turns into a very well known toxic substance known as cyanide! So for this reason alone you do not want to ever take this toxic b12 supplement because it will have a whole host of negative effects on your health holistically! There is more safer non toxic forms of b12 that you can supplement with to make sure your body is getting enough b12 so you do not end up with a b12 deficiency which can be quite dangerous. The forms i recommend are Hydroxocobalamin, Adenosylcobalamin and Methylcobalamin. WARNING DO NO TAKE CYANOCOBALAMIN B12 SUPPLEMENTS! Cancer - Lung Cancer - Vitamin B-12; B-6 l Could Common Vitamin Supplements Raise Lung Cancer Risk?

06:25
Cancer - Lung Cancer - Vitamin B-12 - Vitamin B-6 l Could Common Vitamin Supplements Raise Lung Cancer Risk? ☹ “Professors Predicted My Fatty Liver Will Kill Me. But Contrarily to their Prediction, I Reversed My Fatty Liver 100% Naturally!” The solution for you here: http://bit.ly/2DEfYIp Could Common Vitamin Supplements Raise Lung Cancer Risk? Men, and especially male smokers, appear to be more likely to develop lung cancer if they take high doses of vitamins B6 and B12, new research suggests. For men taking these vitamin supplements, the risk of lung cancer was nearly doubled. For men who smoked, the risk was between three and four times higher, the study found. "High-dose B6 and B12 supplements should not be taken for lung cancer prevention, especially in men, and they may cause harm in male smokers," said study lead author Theodore Brasky. He is a research assistant professor at Ohio State University. However, the study wasn't designed to prove cause-and-effect between the vitamins and lung cancer; it only showed an association. It's also not clear why only men and current male smokers seem to face an extra risk. And a trade organization representing the vitamin industry cautioned against reading too much into the study. Most people in the United States get enough vitamin B6 through their diets, according to the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). Some people with certain health conditions may need supplements. As for vitamin B12, the NIH reports that most Americans get enough from their diet. But some groups -- such as older people and vegetarians -- may be deficient and need supplements. The vitamin may also cause interactions with medications. Dietary sources of vitamin B6 and B12 include fortified cereals and foods that are high in protein. The new study included more than 77,000 adults, aged 50 to 76, in Washington state. The participants were recruited from 2000 to 2002, and answered questions about their vitamin use over the previous 10 years. The researchers found that just over 800 of the study volunteers developed lung cancer over an average follow-up of six years. The study found no sign of a link between folate (a type of B vitamin) and lung cancer risk. And vitamin B6 and B12 supplements didn't seem to affect risk in women. However, "we found that men who took more than 20 milligrams per day of B6 averaged over 10 years had an 82 percent increased risk of lung cancer relative to men who did not take supplemental B vitamins from any source," Brasky said. "Men who took more than 55 micrograms per day of B12 had a 98 percent increased lung cancer risk relative to men who did not take B vitamins," he noted. Men who smoked at the beginning of the study period and consumed high levels of the B vitamins were three to four times more likely to develop lung cancer, he added. "B6 is typically sold in 100 mg (milligram)tablets. B12 is often sold between 500 mcg (microgram) and 3,000 mcg tablets," Brasky said. "In contrast, most multivitamins include 100 percent of the U.S. Recommended Dietary Allowance, which is under 2 mg per day for B6 and 2.4 mcg per day for B12. People should really ask themselves if they need over 1,200 times the RDA (recommended daily allowance) of a substance. There's simply no scientific backing for these doses," he said. The study doesn't conclusively link higher doses of the vitamins to higher rates of lung cancer. If there is a connection, it's not clear how the vitamins might influence the cancer risk, Brasky said, although it may have something to do with how the vitamins interact with male sex hormones. Paul Brennan, head of the genetics section with the International Agency for Research on Cancer, said the study appears to be valid. However, the findings conflict with his group's recent research, published July 22 in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, which didn't find any links between high blood levels of vitamin B6 and lung cancer in people at large, or men specifically. Common Food Sources These days, vitamin B-15 and vitamin B-17 are presented for help in recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction and for cancer prevention. These vitamins are present in food eaten by animals and man, but not in dosages enough for use as medicines. Until now, it was not possible to have them as food supplements because many doctors and food-regulating authorities consider them to be poisonous. In the United States, for example, it used to be a medical sin to prescribe lacterile or vitamin B-17 for the treatment of cancer. One of the doctors who braved it, prescribing laetrile, for his cancer patients was literally hounded out of the country to Mexico. He was Dr. Contreras Sr. I once advised a cancer patient to see him. But, unfortunately, his bone cancer had become too far advanced and worsened by chemotherapy by the time he arrived in Mexico. His brother who accompanied him on the medical trip said they had a wonderful experience with new principles of healing. Vitamin B-15 is known as Pangamic Acid. The Americans do not like it, and so, the food and drugs Administration (FDA) more than 20 years ago forbade producers of B- Complex vitamins to add it to the package. But the Russians have no serious phobia for vitamin B-15, according to www.detoxprogramme.net which says doctors in that country have been using it for many conditions, including … “alcoholism, drug addiction, aging and cenility, minimal brain damage in children, autism, schizophrenia, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, skin disease, liver disease, chemical poisoning”. Vitamin B12: Questions Answered

12:36
What is vitamin B12, what are the causes and prevalence of deficiencies, where is it found, and what is the best source? Dr. Pineda Ochoa answers all of these questions and more in this short presentation. The first part of the transcript is included below for reference, and the full transcript (which is too long to post here) is available on our website, along with sources and credits, here: http://meatyourfuture.com/2016/05/vitaminb12/ [The following transcript is an approximation of the audio in video. To hear the audio and see the accompanying visuals, please play the video.] PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT: More and more mainstream health authorities are promoting plant-based vegan diets – like Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest HMOs in the U.S. that wants to make plant-based diets “the new normal for [its] patients and employees”; or the president of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Kim Williams, who vigorously promotes a vegan diet; or the chair of Harvard’s Department of Nutrition, Dr. Walter Willett, who recommends “choosing plant proteins over animal proteins.” As we see this awareness about plant-based nutrition increase, concern is sometimes expressed about vegan diets and vitamin B12 deficiencies. Some might ask, “If a vegan diet really is healthy and natural, why do I need to watch my vitamin B12 levels or take vitamin B12 supplements?” And this is a great question. So, let’s review the current information about vitamin B12, and the causes and prevalence of vitamin B12 deficiencies. Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is produced by bacteria, not animals or plants. So animals, including humans, must obtain vitamin B12 directly or indirectly from bacteria. In the past, vitamin B12 from bacteria was naturally and more reliably present in plant foods. Today, however, with modern hygienic practices that more deeply clean and sanitize our produce, along with the soil being exposed to more antibiotics and pesticides, most plant foods are no longer reliable sources for vitamin B12. And, it’s probably not a good idea to go back and reverse sanitary practices just to get more of this bacterial product in our diet. Don’t Ignore These 8 Warning Signs Of Vitamin B12 Deficiency

07:13
Don’t Ignore These 8 Warning Signs Of Vitamin B12 Deficiency Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Mineral deficiencies are more common than vitamin deficiencies, statistics shows that one in four adults deals with lack of vitamin B12. In this article we will cover the symptoms and causes of vitamin B12 deficiency, plus you will get a few easy tips on how to regulate that. Vitamin B12. This vitamin is known as the “energy” vitamin. Something you need to give you an energy boost late in the afternoon. Some like it for its ability to bring some live in cardio workouts. Vitamin B12 is also considered as a weight loss miracle “drug,” and it is super popular at medical weight loss clinics. It became more than clear that people are crazy for this vitamin, so clinics and health spas offer discounted vitamin B12 injections. These are offered on “daily deal” websites with the hope that you’d get a bunch of these right away. But, vitamin B12 does not offer “real” energy on its own. But, if you are diagnosed with megaloblastic anemia (it makes you feel all tired and weak), a sudden boost in your B12 intake will sure make you feel like you have got the power (and all the energy in the world). This happens because this vitamin has an important role in the formation of red blood cells. These take oxygen throughout the body. And yes, we need oxygen to survive! It is pure logic – oxygenated blood fills you up with life and energy. Vitamin B12 is important for you. Dr. Mercola says that vitamin B12 carries out numerous vital functions in the body, including: Secretion of adrenal hormone. Circulation. Formation of red blood cells. Healthy nervous system. Proper digestion. Iron absorption. Metabolism of fat and carbs. Nerve growth and formation. Healthy reproductive system in women. Risk groups prone to B12 deficiency. Some foods are packed with healthy portions of vitamin B12, but sometimes this cannot maintain its optimal level in the body. We have covered the most common high-risk groups that should consider supplementing with vitamin B12 on a daily basis! People aged 60 and over who do not have enough stomach acid. Patients diagnosed with autoimmune disorders, such as celiac or Crohn’s disease. Vegans and vegetarians who do not eat products of animal origin. Diabetics on Metformin (this medication affects the absorption of vitamin B12). Symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency. Inability to keep your eyes open. It is because your blood is not rich in oxygen, and you do not get the energy your body needs; Feeling numb, tingly and experiencing a “pins and needles” sensation. This indicated that you are dealing with nerve damage as a result of poor vitamin B12 levels; Memory loss is also caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. This applies especially to young people who are too young to develop age-related dementia; Feeling wobbly or dizzy also indicates that your blood does not have enough oxygen; Yellow skin is caused by red blood cell degradation. It throws out a distinctive yellow pigment when it tears apart. If you lack vitamin B12, your body is unable to produce strong cells; Smooth tongue is something you get after you lose a few papillae “bumps.” These bumps help you recognize the taste, and if you are always getting a “blah” impression of your food, you are probably lacking vitamin B12; Feeling anxious and tearful, you are likely to deal with vitamin B12 deficiency. This vitamin is responsible for the production of “happy” brain chemicals, serotonin, and dopamine. Optic nerve damage leads to strange vision problems, so you often get blurry or double vision. Test your vitamin levels every time you notice shadows in your vision fields, because this is a common symptom of low vitamin B12 levels. ================================ vitamin b12 deficiency, vitamin b12, b12, b12 deficiency, b12 vitamin, vit b12, vitamin b12 injections, b12 deficiency symptoms, vitamin b12 deficiency symptoms, vitamin b12 foods, vitamin deficiency, vitamin b12 benefits, symptoms of b12 deficiency, vit b12 deficiency, sources of vitamin b12 https://youtu.be/hM8DyJltA6M Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

World Without Cancer - The Story Of Vitamin B 17 - G Edward Griffin

55:14
World Without Cancer and The Politics of Cancer Therapy by G. Edward Griffin Mr. Griffin marshals the evidence that cancer is a deficiency disease—like scurvy or pellagra—aggravated by the lack of an essential food compound in modern man’s diet. That substance is vitamin B17. In its purified form developed for cancer therapy, it is known as Laetrile. This story is not approved by orthodox medicine. The FDA, the AMA, and The American Cancer Society have labeled it fraud and quackery. Yet the evidence is clear that here, at last, is the final answer to the cancer riddle. Why has orthodox medicine waged war against this non drug approach? The author contends that the answer is to be found, not in science, but in politics—and is based upon the hidden economic and power agenda of those who dominate the medical establishment. to read more click here: http://www.newstarget.com/012923.html G. This video focuses on the causes of vitamin B12, the main symptoms, as well as some tips on how to remedy this deficiency in a totally natural way. Since it increases energy in the evening and gives a boost of energy while doing cardio exercises, vitamin B12 is often referred to as the "energy" vitamin. In addition, it looks like an effective weight loss tool and has become all the rage in medical weight loss clinic. Its popularity goes to the size of clinics and health spas that offer discounts for vitamin B12 injections. Vitamin B12 is of utmost importance as it takes a vital role in many bodily functions. These include: - Good digestion. - Iron Absorption. - Fat and Carbohydrate Metabolism. - Nervous growth and training. - Healthy reproductive system in women. - Adrenal hormone secretion. - Circulation. - Formation of red blood cells. - Healthy nervous system. CAUSES OF DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN B12. Vitamin B12 deficiency can be triggered by different factors, of which the following are the most common: - Antacids affect the assimilation of vitamin B12 because the body needs enough stomach acid to absorb it. - Nitrous oxide, also known as laughter gas, destroys vitamin B12 in the body - Drinking more than 4 cups of coffee a day leads to a 15 percent reduction in vitamin B12 levels. - Gastric bypass weight loss surgery changes digestive mechanisms, affecting the absorption of vitamin B12. - The H. pylori bacterium destroys the stomach cells that create the "intrinsic factor", which are necessary for the absorption of vitamin B12. SYMPTOMS OF DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN B12. Optic Nerves / Vision Problems. In case you notice any changes in your vision, such as double or blurred vision, test your vitamin B12 levels, since deficiency in this vitamin often leads to vision problems. Anxiety. Since vitamin B12 stimulates the production of dopamine and serotonin, known as "happy" brain chemicals, anxiety is often a warning sign of low levels of vitamin B12. Changes in taste. The blows on the tongue are responsible for recognizing the taste of the food you eat. In case you notice changes in your taste and often get a 'blah' impression of food, it is very likely that you are deficient in vitamin B12. Yellow skin. When the body lacks vitamin B12, it loses its ability to produce strong cells. The degradation of red blood cells causes yellow skin and is a sure sign of vitamin B12 deficiency. Memory loss. Memory loss is often caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, especially in young people who are young to develop dementia. Inability to keep your eyes open. This is a result of lack of oxygen in the blood, which is caused directly by deficiency of the vitamin itself. Dizziness. Feeling dizzy is another sign of lack of oxygen in the blood. Numbness. Sensation of numbness and tingling is the result of nerve damage, which occurs due to vitamin B12 deficiency. RISK GROUPS READY TO B12 DEFICIENCY. - Vegans and vegetarians who do not eat animal products. - Diabetics on Metformin, since this drug affects the absorption of vitamin B12. - People 60 years or older who do not have enough stomach acid. - People diagnosed with autoimmune disorders, such as celiac or Crohn's disease.

Whereas traditional B-12 supplements contain cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalmin, Secret 12™ & VeganSafe B12™ contains methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalmin, the two most bioactive forms of B-12. - The Top 5 Reasons You Need Secret 12™ & VeganSafe B12™ - 1. It’s the Best B-12 Available! - Methylcobalamin, or methylated B-12 is the most pure, active, bioavailable coenzyme form of B-12 and when paired with adenosylcobalamin, the other coenzyme form of B-12, forms the most potent B-12 combination available. 2. Encourages Normal Energy Levels - Vitamin B-12 promotes energy production in multiple ways. It supports the adrenal glands, red blood cell formation, and helps convert carbohydrates to glucose -- the fuel your body uses for energy. 3. Ultra Absorbable Formula Helps Fight B-12 Deficiency - B-12 deficiency is a serious problem that can cause anemia, fatigue, weakness, constipation, weight loss, depression, poor memory, asthma, vision problems, and low sperm count. 4. Supports Your Body’s Major Processes - As defense against homocysteine, B-12 is nutritional support for your cardiovascular and nervous systems. 5. Natural Sleep Support - Some research has linked methylcobalamin to positive effects on sleep due to its influence on melatonin secretion and light sensitivity; it also helps normalize a persons 24-hour clock. - The Health Benefits of Secret 12™ & VeganSafe™ B-12 - • Nutritionally supports cardiovascular function. • Promotes nervous system health. • Fights homocysteine, a cardiovascular stressor. • Supports adrenal function and energy production. • Essential for cell growth and replication and DNA production. • May support a healthy sleep-wake cycle. - Shocking Facts About Vitamin B-12 - • As many as 30% of adults over 50 are unable to absorb B-12 in food, making supplementation the best source. • Research conducted at the University of Oxford study found that vitamin B-12 deficiency may lead to brain shrinkage. • B-12 supplementation is not a cure for Alzheimer's disease but preliminary reports suggest a link between vitamin B-12 deficiency and Alzheimer's disease. • Vitamin B-12 deficiency leads to megaloblastic anemia, a fatigue ridden condition where red blood cells don't develop properly and can't carry oxygen efficiently. - Why is Secret 12™ & VeganSafe™ B-12 the Best Vitamin B-12 Supplement? - • Contains methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, the bioavailable, coenzyme forms of B-12. • Highly absorbable, no conversion in the liver is necessary. • The European Food Safety Authority reports that the combination of adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin is the best and safest representation of naturally occurring vitamin B-12. • VeganSafe B-12 is an easy and delicious liquid formula -- no injections. • Vegetarian and vegan friendly, GMO and gluten free! • Made in the USA and according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Thiamine Deficiency Symptoms – 15 Signs of it and 5 Really Cool Things it can Do!

04:10
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to shopping for supplements and using herbal medicines! In this video I'm going to share some of the leading thiamine deficiency symptoms, as well as a few really nifty things this nutrient can do Thiamine also goes by the name of vitamin b1 and played a big role in the discovery of vitamins. After it was discovered that oranges and citrus fruits prevented scurvy with sailors there was this other big disease plaguing people and do you know what that was? It starts with the letter B. It's called beriberi. Just like the role of oranges to scurvy in the late 1900's it was discovered that removing the husks or outer layer of rice caused beriberi. This disease really hurt Japanese and Asian sailors since most of their diet was rice. Then a little later in time this substance received the name vitamin b1 or thiamine. Do you know why this vitamin was called B1? It is because it was the very first B vitamin discovered. You might be wondered what is so bad about beriberi right? Beriberi can either affect the cardiovascular system known as wet beriberi or it can attack the nervous system and that is known as dry beribery. If beribery affects the nervous system all kinds of problems can develop. According to Healthgrades.com There could be problems with walking, coordination, slurred speech, confusion or memory problems. Next a person could feel tingling in the hands or feet, uncontrolled eye movement and possibly vomiting. If beribery is wet it affects the cardiovascular system. Someone may experience fatigue, abnormal heart rhythms, shortness of breath, chest pains, coughing, leg pains and possibly swelling. The great thing is that all these symptoms can be eliminated if someone gets enough of this vitamin. However, if treatment is delayed what do you think is going to happen? Yep all these annoying problems could become permanent. We know that thiamine is vital for life and that is why it's called a vitamin. Apart from preventing beriberi it can reduce the chance of someone getting cataracts. According to Oregon State University a study of nearly 3,000 Australian men and women found that those with the highest level of vitamin B1 were 40% less likely to have cataracts than those with the lowest levels. It also does things like maybe prevent cancer, Alzheimer's, heart failure and it can eliminate free radicals. In conclusion just make sure you get enough of this stuff. You could get it through diet a lone, however I think it makes more sense to take a quality supplement. The reality is that farmers use chemicals to grow their crops bigger and faster, but it depletes the nutritional value of the food that we are consuming. Plus consuming a quality supplement will give antioxidants that can do so many wonderful things. Supplements and alternative medicine can be confusing and even harmful. Make things really simple and give your body a HUGE edge by viewing a free video guide I created at http://utahtexans.com/.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency Symptoms -- 10 Signs you could be Deficient and the Consequences!

05:11
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free report to choosing supplements for better health. Almost 40% of the population just in the U.S. is deficient in vitamin B12 according to Tufts University in Boston. Now, Vitamin B12 is water soluble and this means that it gets flushed out of someone's system on a daily basis and needs to be replenished every day. What this substance does is help with the creation of red blood cells that carry oxygen around the body. Since organs needs oxygen to function one of the first symptoms a person may experience is fatigue and low energy. This can also bring about pale skin and cold hands or feed since other organs need the oxygen. Next up would be a headache, dizziness, cognitive problems and confusion. Now if someone's red blood count gets too low it could lead to permanent brain damage, since the brain needs oxygen to survive. Lastly irregular heartbeats and chest pain can all occur. Besides carry oxygen this vitamin helps nerve cells stay healthy. I like to think of nerve cells as little postal workers, but they have super powers. Nerve cells are responsible for sending and receiving messages from touch, sight, hearing, smell and pain. As you can imagine without B12 a bunch of these little super postal workers could call in sick and your whole body system might not work as good. It's also extremely important for pregnant woman and a deficiency could make it 5 times more likely that a woman gives birth to a child with a birth defect. Another use of this stuff would be for the replication of DNA. Your cells only live for so long then they die and are reborn again into new cells. For example skin cells live around 2 to 4 weeks and we lose around a million skin cells in a day. When skin cells don't replicate correctly it could lead to all kinds of problems such as wrinkles and weakened organs. In fact many health experts believe it's a main source of the aging process. It is also used for metabolism which is breaking down food into energy. Increased amounts of this vitamin will not help with weight loss, but a deficiency can damage regular metabolism and lead to stunted growth and mental retardation. So to sum everything up, DANG, talk about important yea don't be deficient in this stuff. Foods with the most vitamin B12 would include liver, fish, dairy products, soy, and eggs. The fact is our food nowadays doesn't have the nutritional value like it used to and because of this I highly recommend taking a good multi-vitamin supplement. This way you ensure you are not going to be deficient in any vitamins. Contrary to what you might believe not all supplements are created equal and there is a lot of crap out there. Shopping for a good supplement can be confusing, frustrating and not very fun. To make things a little easier for you I have created a free guide about this topic. It goes over to identify a good brand from a poor one, herbal remedies and even the role of government agencies that protect us. Insidermedicine In Depth - June 15, 2010 - Lung Cancer Reduced With Vitamin B6

01:53
Having high levels of vitamin B6 and methionine, a substance required for some of the actions of B vitamins in the body, may be associated with a reduced risk for lung cancer, according to research published in the June 16 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. High levels of B vitamins can be found in: • Green leafy vegetables • Meat • Dairy products Researchers representing the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition, or EPIC, collected blood samples from over 500,000 individuals between 1992 and 2000. By 2006, 899 of these individuals had developed lung cancer. The researchers analyzed the level of B vitamins in their blood and compared the results with 1,770 individuals who did not have lung cancer but who were similar with respect to country, sex, date of birth, and date of blood collection. After taking into account smoking status, high levels of vitamin B6 or methionine in the blood were each linked with about a 50% reduced risk for lung cancer. Among current and non-smokers, having high levels of folate, another B vitamin, in the blood was associated with a reduction in the risk of lung cancer of about one-third. Having levels of vitamin B6 and methionine in the blood that were above the midpoint of the whole group was also linked with a reduced risk for lung cancer. Today's research links high levels of B vitamins with a lower risk of lung cancer, an association that has also been seen in colorectal cancer.

Alcohol and Malnutrition Tutorial: Has Alcohol Any Nutrients?

04:10
Alcohol and Malnutrition Tutorial: Has Alcohol Any Nutrients? (0.09) What is malnutrition? (0.40) Can alcohol cause malnutrition? (1.34) Metabolizing alcohol (1.54) Long term potential effects of ethanol chart (2.48) Symptoms of malnutrition (3.05) What to do next! This is Part Three of the Alcohol and Weight Gain series. What is Malnutrition? http://alcoholmastery.com/alcohol-and-malnutrition-tutorial-has-alcohol-any-nutrients/ Malnutrition occurs when your body is not getting enough of the essential nutrients that it needs to function properly, also known as primary malnutrition. Another way that malnutrition can be caused is through the body using or expelling essential nutrients faster than they can be replaced, or secondary malnutrition. Can Alcohol Cause Malnutrition? Yep….even in smaller doses! Heavy drinkers suffer from malnutrition because they often drink too many empty calories and don’t get enough good food. Alcohol consists of 7 empty calories per gram, almost twice as much as table sugar, but contains no minerals, no vitamins, no fats, no carbohydrates, and no protein = no nutrition.... Another serious problem for heavy drinkers is when the body tries to rid itself of alcohol. The only fuels it can use to deal with alcohol are the limited critical nutrients that are normally used to look after the body. Getting rid of the alcohol becomes a priority for the digestive system because it cannot store it. This means that it deals with the alcohol before anything else. Your liver must use essential vitamins - niacin, thiamine and other b vitamins in order to metabolize the alcohol. Your metabolism tries to break everything down (metabolize) into what it can use and what it can't use. It absorbs what it can use and gets rid of what it can't use.... Alcohol is also a diuretic…it makes you want to piss more. It is thought that this increases the loss of water soluble nutrients such as potassium (which keeps many of your bodily systems functioning properly and maintains electrolyte balances, among other things), magnesium (essential in a wide range of bodily functions including the nervous system, the liver and kidneys, and healthy digestion), and zinc (maintains bones, muscles, hair and nails,...as well as having a hand in a mind-blowing number of other critical tasks!) Damage can also be caused to the internal organs which in turn will impair the body’s ability to absorb the necessary nutrients. Two German professors from Hohenheim University, Stuttgart, Christiane Bode, Ph.D. and J. Christian Bode, M.D., have stated in an article that can be read here, that organ damage and malnutrition can be caused from alcohol. They state that alcohol: “…inhibits the absorption of nutrients in the small intestine and increases the transport of toxins across the intestinal walls, effects that may contribute to the development of alcohol-related damage to the liver and other organs.” What Are The Signs of Malnutrition? Some of the symptoms of malnourishment include: Lack of energy or constant fatigue Dizziness Chronic diarrhoea Skin problems Unhealthy nails Irritability Hair loss Poor night vision Breathlessness Pain in muscles, joints, or bones What Should You Do About It? First up, if you think you drink alcohol regularly and you are getting any of the above symptoms more than normal, you should go to see your doctor. This is important! It is crucial that you tell your doctor about your drinking habits and that the symptoms you are feeling may have something to do with those habits. Your doctor must have this information… If you don’t supply this information, you are relying on your doctor to come to the correct diagnosis on her own, at best by her intuition, at worse by guesswork. The wrong diagnosis is not going to do you any good; you might as well have stayed at home. Be completely honest with her, it won’t go any further than her office, and it could save your life! Stop Drinking! Giving up alcohol and sticking to a balanced diet is the perfect solution to alcohol related malnutrition! Even low amounts of alcohol consumption can result in nutritional deficits, which will cause you to have problems. Failing that, eating a balanced diet will definitely go some way to offsetting some of the effects of alcohol consumption. You could also benefit from taking nutritional supplements. According to the University Of Maryland Medical Center, good supplements might include: “…vitamin B complex, vitamin C, selenium, magnesium, and zinc. A combination of amino acids -- carnitine, glutamine, and glutathione -- may help reduce cravings, blood sugar fluctuations, and stress related to alcohol use.”

Cancer can be cured! Vitamin B17 Documentary

55:15
World Without Cancer. Written and narrated by G. Edward Griffin. Griffin marshals the evidence that cancer is a deficiency disease aggravated by the lack of an essential food compound in modern man's diet. That substance is vitamin B17 (also called Laetrile). A World Without Cancer (part 4 of 6)

09:18
What you are about to watch does not carry the approval of organised medicine. The Food and Drug Administration, the American Cancer Society, and the American Medical Association have labelled it "fraud" and "quackery". In fact, the FDA and other agencies of government have used every means at their disposal to prevent this story from being told. They have arrested citizens for holding public meetings to tell others of their convictions on this subject. They have confiscated films and books. They even have prosecuted doctors who apply these theories in the effort to save the lives of their own patients. The purpose of this movie is to show that this great human tragedy can be stopped now entirely on the basis of existing scientific knowledge. The information you are about to watch marshals the evidence that cancer is a nutritional-deficiency disease, like scurvy or pellagra. It is not caused by a bacterium, virus or mysterious toxin, but by the absence of a substance that modern man has removed from his diet. That substance is Vitamin B-17, also known as Amygdalin or Laetrile. If that analysis is correct, then the treatment and prevention of cancer can be made simple. All that needs to be done is to restore that easily obtained and inexpensive food factor to our daily meals. An increasing number of doctors all over the world are now are testing and proving in their own clinics that the vitamin concept of cancer is true.

vitamins good for health

A vitamin is an organic molecule (or related set of molecules) which is an essential micronutrient - that is, a substance which an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism - but cannot synthesize it (either at all, or in sufficient quantities), and therefore it must be obtained through the diet. The term vitamin does not include the three other essential nutrients: dietary minerals, essential fatty acids and essential amino acids.[2] Some substances can be synthesized by a certain organism, but not by another: that substance is not a vitamin in the first instance, but it is in the second. Most vitamins are not single molecules, but groups of related molecules called vitamers. Vitamins are classified by their biological/chemical activity, not their structure. The thirteen vitamins required by human metabolism are: vitamin A (retinols and carotenoids), vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic Acid), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B7 (biotin), vitamin B9 (folic acid, or folate), vitamin B12 (cobalamin) , vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), and vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols). Vitamins have diverse biochemical functions. Some forms of vitamin A function as regulators of cell and tissue growth and differentiation. The B complex vitamins function as enzyme cofactors (coenzymes) or the precursors for them. Vitamin D has a hormone-like function as a regulator of mineral metabolism, and is anti-proliferative. Vitamin E (and sometimes vitamin C), functions as an antioxidant.[3]

विटामिन से सम्बंधित प्रत्येक प्रश्न जो आपको जानना चाहिए- Scientific Names of Vitamins & Disease

Vitamins: The word "vitamin" was coined in 1911 by the Warsaw-born biochemist Casimir Funk (1884-1967). At the Lister Institute in London, Funk isolated a substance that prevented nerve inflammation (neuritis) in chickens raised on a diet deficient in that substance. He named the substance "vitamine" because he believed it was necessary to life and it was a chemical amine. The "e" at the end was later removed when it was recognized that vitamins need not be amines. The letters (A, B, C and so on) were assigned to the vitamins in the order of their discovery. The one exception was vitamin K which was assigned its "K" from "Koagulation" by the Danish researcher Henrik Dam. Vitamin A: Retinol. Carotene compounds responsible for transmitting light sensation in the retina of the eye. Deficiency leads to night blindness. Beta carotene: An antioxidant which protects cells against oxidation damage that can lead to cancer. Beta carotene is converted, as needed, to vitamin A. Food sources of beta carotene include vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach and other leafy green vegetables; and fruit such as cantaloupes and apricots. Excessive carotene in the diet can temporarily yellow the skin, a condition called carotenemia, commonly seen in infants fed largely mushed carrots. Vitamin B1: Thiamin, acts as a coenzyme in body metabolism. Deficiency leads to beriberi, a disease of the heart and nervous system. Vitamin B2: Riboflavin, essential for the reactions of coenzymes. Deficiency causes inflammation of the lining of the mouth and skin. Vitamin B3: Niacin, an essential part of coenzymes of body metabolism. Deficiency causes inflammation of the skin, vagina, rectum and mouth, as well as mental slowing. Vitamin B6: Pyridoxine, a cofactor for enzymes. Deficiency leads to inflammation of the skin and mouth, nausea, vomiting, dizziness , weakness and anemia. Folate (folic acid): Folic acid is an important factor in nucleic acid synthesis (the genetic material). Folate deficiency leads to megaloblastic anemia. Vitamin B12: An essential factor in nucleic acid synthesis (the genetic material of all cells). Deficiency leads to megaloblastic anemia, as can be seen in pernicious anemia. Vitamin C: Ascorbic acid, important in the synthesis of collagen, the framework protein for tissues of the body. Deficiency leads to scurvy, characterized by fragile capillaries, poor wound healing, and bone deformity in children. Vitamin D: A steroid vitamin which promotes absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorus. Under normal conditions of sunlight exposure, no dietary supplementation is necessary because sunlight promotes adequate vitamin D synthesis in the skin. Deficiency can lead to osteomalacia in adults and bone deformity (rickets) in children. Vitamin E: Deficiency can lead to anemia. Vitamin K: An essential factor in the formation of blood clotting factors. Deficiency can lead to abnormal bleeding
