I specialize in weight management, exercise and sports nutrition. And I'll be talking to you about diets. Weight Watchers. Well, we all have to think that it works. Look at Jennifer Hudson. She's lost so much weight on this diet just by following the four basic pillars of the Weight Watchers program: changing your habits, eating healthier, a good support system, and increasing your physical activity. That is the philosophy of this program; with the point system geared toward each individual, based on gender, height and weight, you're able to eat anything you want, staying under the points that you are allowed, and lose weight at the same time. This program specializes in people who refuse to cut out their favourite foods. You want to enjoy a piece of chocolate cake? Just make sure that you write down the points, and voila, you can enjoy it. Overall, I think this program happens to be great for those who really need a support system, cause you're able to attend meetings and, once again, you're able to eat the foods that you enjoy. The down side- you have to restrict yourself to particular points and it can be hard to dine out in restaurant, so if you like to eat out a lot, this program may not be for you.

Step 1: Start with total points Start by figuring out your total points for each day -- begin with 2 points if you're a woman, 8 points if you're a man. Step 2: Factor in age Factor in your age by adding 4 points if you are between 17 to 26, 3 points for ages 27 to 37, 2 points for 38 to 47, and 1 point if you're 48 to 58. Step 3: Add in height and weight Hop on the scale and add 1 point per 10 pounds of body weight. Add an additional point if you're between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-10; 2 points if you're over 5-foot-10. Step 4: Add in activity Add 6 points for a labor-intensive job, add 2 points for a moderate level of activity, and if you're sedentary don't add any points. Add everything up to see the total number of points you're allowed to consume each day. Tip Recalculate your total points every 2 to 4 weeks to account for any weight loss. Step 5: Calculate a meal's points To calculate the number of points in each food, study the nutritional information. Divide the total calories by 50 and the total grams of fat by 12. Add these numbers together and write down the answer. Tip Search online for help calculating the total calories and fiber of non-packaged foods like fruits and vegetables or talk to a nutritionist for guidance. Step 6: Divide fiber Divide the total amount of dietary fiber by 5 and subtract this number from the number you got in step 5. This represents the total points of the food item. Tip Use Weight Watchers' brand meals or recipes to easily calculate the points instead of using this formula each time. Step 7: Deduct meal points from daily points Deduct each meal from your total allowance of daily points. Plan each meal ahead of time as you work toward your weight loss goal. Did You Know? An adult blue whale, the largest animal on Earth, eats nearly 8,000 pounds of krill per day.

Weight Watcher friendly recipes – with smart points!! Please let me know if you have any questions! RECIPE #1 Green Beans, Chicken & Potatoes Serves: 4 Smart points: 4 Simply Filling: YES • 3 medium yukon gold potatoes, diced • 2 c. green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces • 1 lb chicken breasts • 1 (.7 oz) package Italian dressing mix - 1/2 cup butter (optional-not included in points) 1. Cut green beans up. Line one side of the pan with green beans. 2. Cut potatoes up. Line opposite side of pan with the potatoes. 3. Line the chicken breasts down the middle of the baking dish. 4. Cut butter up and layer over the green beans, potatoes and chicken. Sprinkle Italian dressing over the entire pan. Cover with foil. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. RECIPE #2 One Skillet Mexican Rice Casserole Serves: 5 Smart points: 5 Simply Filling: YES • 1 small red onion, diced • 2 teaspoons cumin • 1 teaspoon chili powder • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1 teaspoon dried oregano • 1 red bell pepper, cored and diced • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained • 1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen and defrosted • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed • 12 ounces salsa • 1 cup cooked brown rice • 1 cup riced cauliflower • 1/2 cup shredded fat free mozzarella • 1/4 cup shredded fat free cheddar cheese 1. Start by warming up a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes, then add the spices and stir together. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes. 2. Next add the red pepper and the green chilies and stir together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes then add the drained and rinsed beans, corn, salsa, brown rice and riced cauliflower. Stir everything until well-combined. Add cooking spray to a deep, 12-inch or larger skillet over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Add the garlic and crushed red pepper flakes to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil and oregano. Stir well. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5-10 minutes. 2. Add the water and dry pasta. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to a low boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes or until noodles are tender. 3. I know it can be hard trying to plan what to feed your family when you are the only one doing the Weight Watchers Freestyle program. I hope this helps someone out there :) I also decided to try a different editing style because I frequently have my children help me cook. And since they can be really chatty and kinda loud, I thought it would be easier to just show you how I do everything, and to just play a little music in the back round. Daily Dose of Pepper (now the Skinnyish Dish) Loaded Chicken Bubble up: https://theskinnyishdish.com/loaded-chicken-bubble-up-bake/ Sheet Pan Chicken Tacos: 2lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts ( I used chicken tenderloins) 2 packets of taco seasoning (I do not count seasoning packets as points) Onions & Peppers (how much you like) Coat chicken and onions and peppers in taco seasoning. Place on a sheet pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 400 for 18-20 mins. Turn when half way done cooking. Shred chicken when it is cooked through. Hi Everyone, This is a ‘What I Eat In A Day On Weight Watchers New Flex Plan” vlog. Documenting my day doing a Weight Watchers and sugar free diet. As well as showing you how I am finding the new flex plan! In this vlog I show you exactly what I eat from the minuet I wake up to the minuet I go to bed. As you can see not every day is easy to stick to plan and I definitely find it hard in the evenings to stay on track. Some days are good and some days are hard. On this particular day managed to stay within my dailies. Sharing the highs and lows of being on Weight Watchers and maintaining a sugar free diet is something I feel strongly about. I want to show an honest account of what it’s like to be a ‘serial dieter’ and the types of food I eat. Everybody’s diets are different and everyone has an individual take on their perception of the Weight Watchers diet. These are just mine, and you have to do what suits you. I am really enjoying sharing this experience. It is helping me to stay on track. As well as making me more positive and happy about my body image. Throughout my teen years I yo-yo dieted, and in my late teens I went from a size 26 jeans down to a size 14!! This was one of the best things I did, for my body and my mind. Since then I have had two beautiful children and gone up and down with my pregnancy weight. When my youngest (Emme) was 6 months old I decided it was time to start trying to be healthy again. That was when I joined Weight Watchers. Since January I have lost 2 stone in weight, and completed a 0-5k, 10 week running course. However, as we all know, it is easy to get complacent and forget to log food. Therefore, I thought I would give myself a ‘kick up the bum’ and do weekly vlogs on a Sunday, recording my progress, along with some of my favourite meals and tips for how I am sticking with Weight Watchers. It's structured like a four-legged table, and each leg - food, behavior change, activity, and support - is essential for success. A new two-week Simple Start feature helps you eat right and lose weight without a focus on tracking food points. Diabetes focus: The program is not specifically designed for people with diabetes, but it is based on common healthy lifestyle principles. With the assistance of your health care team, it can be adapted to your individual needs and paired with carb counting. What you eat: The Simple Start program includes two weeks of easy meal ideas and recipes with photos, plus a shopping list of satisfying, everyday foods that don't trigger overeating. Hey guys! Today I am sharing with you my weekly Weight Watchers Freestyle meal plan and prep for me and my family. I hope you enjoy this vlog! Thanks so much for watching :) Summer Collab video: https://youtu.be/Ki3-Fhtksq4 My veggie chopper: https://amzn.to/2uE3233 Swerve Powdered sugar: https://amzn.to/2O2rwLr Recipes: The Pioneer Woman's Sour Cream Noodle bake: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sour-cream-noodle-bake0-2145182 *I substituted in 1lb of 93% lean ground turkey, and I used 1/2 cup of plain non fat greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I also only used 4oz of reduced fat cheese. I divided the cheese equally between each layer. With the changes I made this recipe makes 8 servings and each serving is 7fsp. Enjoy! Lemon Zucchini Muffins: You will need: 1.5 cups of shredded zucchini 1.5 cups of all purpose flour 3/4 cup of Truvia baking blend 1 egg 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce 1/2 tsp of salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp lemon zest Lemon glaze: 1/2 cup Swerve powdered sugar the juice of one lemon 1-2 tbsp of unsweetened vanilla almond milk Shred zucchini and squeeze all the excess water out of it. Zest the lemon. Add all the dry ingredients to the lemon zest and mix. Add all the wet ingredients to the shredded zucchini and mix. Add the flour to the zucchini mixture little by little. Make sure not to over mix. Divide the mixture into 12 prepared muffin tins. If you use cupcake liners make sure that you spray them really well with cooking spray. Bake at 375 for about 25 mins or until a tooth pick inserted into the center of the muffin comes out clean. To make the glaze: Mix together the Swerve powdered sugar, lemon juice, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk until you get the right consistency. Then take the muffins while they are still warm and dip each muffin into the glaze. This recipe makes 12 muffins and each muffin is only 3fsp. Enjoy! Broccoli Cauliflower salad: 2 heads of broccoli 1 head of cauliflower 1 1/2 cups of halved seedless grapes scallions (as many as you want) Dressing: 1/2 cup of plain non fat greek yogurt 1/2 cup of light mayo 1/2 cup of Truvia 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar Optional toppings: bacon bits reduced fat cheese or fat free cheddar would be 0fsp Chop all the veggies and place in a large bowl. Mix all the dressing ingredients together and pour over the veggies. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight is best) before serving. This recipe makes eight 1 cup servings. Each serving is 1fsp. If you add the bacon bits and fat free cheddar cheese, it would be 2fsp. If you do like I did and use reduced fat cheese it will be 3fsp per serving. Enjoy! I meal prep lunches for my husband and I for the work week. How do you store your meal prep containers? I store them in the freezer. How do you reheat your meal preps? I put a frozen meal prep in my lunchbox in the am with an ice pack and it is thawed by lunch time. If I prepped a soup or a food with more liquid, I have to take it out of my lunchbox at about 10am to fully thaw by lunchtime. Do you thaw your frozen vegetables before cooking? Most of the time, I put them in the oven frozen. How long do you cook your frozen vegetables? I cook them on 350 degrees for around 25 minutes. Press mixture into lightly sprayed muffin tins, create a cavity in the center of each. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes. Crack an egg into each spaghetti squash cup. Sprinkle with salt, pepper or seasonings of choice. (Can also too with additional cheese; adjust smart points as necessary.) bake at 375 for 8 minutes or until egg is as done as you prefer. Chicken Vegetable Sauté with Poached Egg 1 Serving 0 Smart Points Halved brussel sprouts Diced zucchini or yellow squash Cooked chicken breast, diced 1-2 eggs 1 oz. Trader Joe’s fat free feta Seasonings of choice (Everything But the Bagel, Italian Seasoning, sage and rosemary, salt and pepper, etc.) Spray large pan with cooking spray. Saute brussel sprouts until partially cooked. Add zucchini or yellow squash, sauté until squash is almost cooked. Add pre-cooked chicken breast and heat through. Transfer to serving plate. Fill a coffee cup half full with lukewarm water. Carefully crack egg into the cup. Cover with a small plate or plastic lid. Microwave for 50 seconds. If egg is not poached, microwave for another 10 seconds. Continue checking at 10 second intervals until egg is cooked to your preference. Add poached egg(s) to sauté mixture. Sprinkle with feta cheese and additional seasonings if desired. In today’s meal prep Sunday video, I have some basic prep, snack prep, lunch prep, dinner prep and a dessert to share! Meal Prep Containers Mini square – https://amzn.to/2KqY142 Mini round - https://amzn.to/2HFxgaC Round - http://amzn.to/2H3oTFH 2 compartment – http://amzn.to/2Eh0WfB Caramel Cheesecake 8 servings 1 SP per slice Source: @wwpounddropper on IG 3 eggs 3 cups plain nonfat Greek yogurt 1 small box sugar free/fat free instant cheesecake pudding mix 3 Tbl sweetener (I used stevia) 1 Tbl extract (I used caramel coffee syrup) Directions: Mix eggs, extract, and sweetener in a bow. Add pudding mix and then yogurt. Mix well and add to a lightly greased pie plate. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 20 minutes then for best results refrigerate overnight. How I Plan my Weight Watchers Freestyle Meals for Me and my Family! Plus My Weekly Meal Prep!

Hey guys! Jessica here! I have had many messages asking me how I plan my weekly meal plans for the Weight Watchers Freestyle Program, and how I do the program with having a family to feed. So, today I am sharing my tips for creating meal plans, budgeting, and how I get my picky eaters to eat the same foods I do. I then share my weekly meal prep. I hope you enjoy this vlog! Recipes: Paula Deen's Basic Meatloaf: *Substitute in extra lean ground beef https://www.pauladeen.com/recipe/old-fashioned-meatloaf-a-k-a-basic-meatloaf/ Cauliflower Potato Mash from the Skinnyish Dish: https://theskinnyishdish.com/homestyle-cauli-tater-mash/ Big Mac Attack: You will need: 1lb of extra lean ground beef 1/2 yellow onion chopped 1 cup dill pickles chopped 8 slices Velveeta cheese slices Dough topping: 1 cup plain non fat greek yogurt 1 cup Self rising flour 1 tsp sesame seeds Serve with: Iceberg lettuce lite 1000 Island dressing Directions: Brown ground beef and onions. Add dill pickles. Put mixture into a 9x13 casserole dish. Top with 8 slices of Velveeta cheese slices. Mix greek yogurt and self rising flour together and roll out. Place dough on top of meat and cheese mixture. Top with 1 tsp of sesame seeds. Bake at 375 for 20-30 mins or until the dough is golden brown. Serve over iceberg lettuce and top with 1 tbsp of lite 1000 island dressing. This recipe makes 8 servings, and I made a mistake in the video. Add the mince and cook over a high heat. Don’t stir immediately, as you want the meat to really brown on the base, so give it a few moments – then turn to sear and brown on all sides. Add the onion, courgette, carrots, pepper, mushrooms, garlic, tomatoes, tomato puree, herbs and stock. Stir well and bring the mixture up to the boil. Reduce the heat to low, partially cover with the lid and cook for 30-40 minutes. To reduce the liquid to thicken the sauce, remove the lid for the final 10-15 minutes. To cook the spaghetti, first check the pack instructions – timings vary. If it’s quick cook it will only take 4-5 minutes. Wholewheat will take 9-12 minutes. Bring a large saucepan of water up to a rolling boil, then add a little salt. Gradually feed the spaghetti into the saucepan. Swirl it around the pan by stirring with a wooden spoon, then boil gently for the recommended cooking time. Avoid overcooking or boiling too vigorously. Drain the pasta in a colander, then share it between 4 serving plates. Spoon the sauce on top, then serve, garnished with a few fresh basil leaves.
