House Call: Should I Stop My Statins?

03:20
You've probably heard of Lipitor, Zocor, and Crestor. You may even be taking one of these cholesterol-lowering drugs, which are known as statins. They are the most commonly prescribed medication, and for years, they've been touted as the best way to manage cholesterol. Now top Harvard cardiologists are questioning current cholesterol guidelines. The data to support this claim isn't as solid as we thought, and we are now seeing that statins can cause some serious side effects, such as: • Muscle pain, damage, and aching • Mitochondrial damage • Type 2 diabetes • Neurologic problems such as memory loss • Sexual dysfunction Watch or read this week's House Call with me, Dr. Hyman to learn more about the health risks associated with statins and to find out how you can lower your cholesterol naturally. Learn more about how to take care of your heart in a way that supports your health rather than damages it. Wishing you health and happiness, Mark Hyman, MD

↓ 5 Important & Clinically Proven Reasons You Should NOT Take Statin Drugs

How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. An all natural alternative to statin drugs. ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/NoMoreStatin =============================== 5 Important & Clinically Proven Reasons You Should NOT Take Statin Drugs =============================== Statins are HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. They work by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver, that is responsible for making cholesterol. Now, this is very important topic to me personally, because over 15+ years ago my parent’s were prescribed these toxic drugs and they had a ton of negative side-effects. Unfortunately back then, we didn’t have all the data we have now. The pharmaceutical companies did a great job of hiding them. Today I’m going to reveal the top 5, clinically proven reasons, why you should NOT take statin drugs and one of my favorite, natural alternatives that my own parents use. Reason #1 - They DON’T Work! Statin drugs DO lower your cholesterol levels, but don’t think they lower your risk of heart disease, heart attacks or strokes. Based on the statistics of “Relative Risk Reduction (RRR)”, statins reduce the risk for only 1% of the population - that’s it!8 Reason #2 - Increase Your Risk Major Disease, Including Cancer! Statins increase your risk for diabetes. And what’s interesting is that over 50% of people who have heart disease, have elevated glucose and blood sugar levels. So the irony is that the statin drugs will indirectly INCREASE your risk of heart disease by increasing your blood sugar levels. Statins also cause neurodegenerative diseases, such as memory loss, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s. Statins also cause musculoskeletal disorders, leading to muscle pain and weakness (myalgia), muscle cramps and other muscular problems. Statins also cause cataracts, which is a clouding of your eye lens and is a main cause of low vision among the elderly. Finally, statin drugs are known to cause cancer. Reason #3 - Deplete Important Nutrients Statin drugs deplete two very important nutrients in your body. The first is Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). CoQ10 is used for energy production by every cell in your body, and is therefore vital for good health, high energy levels, longevity, and general quality of life. What’s important to know is that your heart is the most energy-demanding organ in your body. By depleting CoQ10, your heart slowly becomes weaker and ages faster. In addition to CoQ10, statin drug also reduce Vitamin K2. This is important for you to know because Vitamin K2 protects your arteries from calcification. Without it, plaque levels worsen. Reason #4 - Liver Problems & Toxicity Of all the negative side-effects associated with statin drugs, the most common was “drug induced liver injury”… This accounts for a whopping 57% of all statin related “adverse drug reactions”, which included potentially severe and some cases, deadly consequences such as: Death from acute liver failure Liver transplantation Jaundice Liver problems are so bad with statin drugs that each year there are millions of people diagnosed “moderate to serious liver dysfunction”! Remember, your liver detoxifies and cleanses your entire body. Poor liver function greatly accelerates aging! Reason #5 - Natural Alternatives Exist You don’t need to take statin drugs because natural alternatives already exist. Nature already has the answers, NOT the pharmaceutical companies. I’m sure you already know this…. Drugs can be used SHORT-TERM, to quickly improve a health problem … TEMPORARILY. But positive, long-term benefits can only be seen and felt using natural means. This way, you have a proven, simple and convenient solution for your high cholesterol, while being so much safer than statin drugs. Stopping Statins pt1 (Lipitor, Simvastatin...): There are many reasons to stop statins. Is it SAFE?

Two studies are mentioned: one saying that it's safe to stop statins, and another says it's not. Although these studies, like all studies, have problems. But I think they both reflect biologic medical realities. The study showing safety was on stable patients. The study showing danger in stopping statins was on patients post strokes. Plaque instability is systemic; there is no such thing as one vulnerable plaque. The VULNERABLE PLAQUE THEORY is rapidly dying. Therefore the patients in the post-stroke study selected for patients with an arterial tree full on unstable plaque. The study showing safety selected for patients with stable plaques. Plaque instability appears to be a cyclical phenomenon, with cycles taking many months. So I would love to see a 2 year follow-up on the study showing safety in stopping plaques. I bet it would show regression to the mean. About Dr. Brewer - Ford Brewer is a physician that started as an Emergency Doctor. 💊 Natural & Clinically Proven Alternatives To Lipitor

08:44
Watch the natural alternative to lower your cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. 👉http://drsam.co/yt/Natural-Lipitor Or discover the most powerful fruit to lower high cholesterol: 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYFY4Vl19Fo =============================================== 💊 Natural & Clinically Proven Alternatives To Lipitor =============================================== #cholesterol #statins Before I reveal clinically proven, natural alternatives to Lipitor, a cholesterol lowering drug and why you MUST get off this or any statin drug, I’d like to share a true story. Dr. Duane Graveline (M.D., M.P.H) is a physician, a flight surgeon and former astronaut. One year NASA was doing a yearly physical on him. He passed all the tests (physical, cognitive, etc.). Yet, they noticed his cholesterol was in the “high” range and told him to take Lipitor (atorvastatin) - a cholesterol lowering statin drug. Six weeks later, he had severe memory problems, so bad that he had short term, global amnesia (TGA). Additionally, when NASA retested him, his cholesterol was lower and he passed that test … yet he failed the cognitive test and he wasn’t allowed to go to space. Dr. Graveline decided to get off Lipitor, despite the fact other physicians, doctors and pharmacists said it couldn’t be Lipitor causing these problems. A year later, when it was his next annual NASA physical, they again told him to take Lipitor, but this time at half the dosage. So, Dr. Graveline reluctantly followed their recommendation. This second time, the results were even worse - amnesia PLUS “retrograde loss of memory” going back to his high school years. Yes, his memory loss was even more severe. He again stopped taking Lipitor and wrote about this situation in a book called, “Lipitor Thief of Memory” which was written in 2005. Which also includes liver damage, high blood pressure, arthritis, elevated blood sugar levels, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, muscle loss and lowered sex drive and impotence, to name a few. Add to the fact that my dad’s mom (my grandmother) had Alzheimer’s, I didn’t want to risk it and got my dad off of Lipitor … against his doctor’s orders. Instead, I decided to research, natural, safe and healthy ingredients and alternatives for having healthy cholesterol levels. And that’s what I’m going to reveal today. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Now, one of my favorite natural ingredients to help improve cholesterol levels is called, Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. In fact, this is a natural statin. However, the “secret” to using Red Yeast Rice is you only want to use it in small doses. Plus, you must use the “extract” form, not the “root” or “powder” form which is worthless. And finally, you want to make sure that the “toxic” by-product, Citrinin is removed. Any other form either won’t work or you’ll need such a high dose that you’ll have statin side-effects - obviously, no where near as bad as Lipitor. Again, keep in mind that if you ONLY use Red Yeast Rice to improve your cholesterol levels, you’ll need to use a high dosage, which will eventually lead to some of the same, statin side-effects. THIS is the real secret to having healthy cholesterol levels, naturally - without drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote healthy cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract (15% Chlorogenic Acid, 5% Cynarin) Phytosterols Complex (40% extract from non-GMO pine tree extract) Garlic (Extract 5% alliin) Policosanol (from Sugar Cane - Saccharum species) Improve Your Thyroid Cleanse Your Liver Did you know that 80% of the cholesterol in your body is made by your liver, and NOT from the foods you eat? This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels and this is why you keep having to increase the dosage of these drugs. So make sure you try to eliminate anything that stresses your liver - this includes all drugs, including alcohol and caffeine. But, since this is almost impossible for most people, I suggest you take Milk Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which also boost your immune system. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which also helps lower your blood sugar. Taking Lipitor? Consider CV inflammation

13:14
ford brewer md mph PrevMedHeartRisk.com Inflammation was shown to be an independent risk factor for heart attack and stroke for years. Even in the MRFIT study and Framingham, over 20 years ago - showed that elevated CRP causes heart attack and stroke. Paul Ridker and Gavin Blake noticed in the WOSCOP trial that the decrease in heart attacks and stroke were higher than you'd expect from the impact on LDL and the minor impact on the size of the plaque. Also, they noticed an improvement in the major available marker for inflammation (at that time) C reactive Protein. So they designed the JUPITER study and published it in the New England Journal. They selected only people with low LDL and high CRP. They had a big decrease in heart attack and stroke. Paul Ridker made the headlines in August 2017 with the topic of inflammation and CV risk. The study was CANTOS, using the major anti inflammatory drug Ilaris. It made a big decrease in not only heart attack and stroke, but even with cancer. Unfortunately, the number of lives saved from prevented heart attacks, strokes and cancer were all given back with increased deaths due to serious infection. That's not surprising; Ilaris is a heavy duty anti inflammatory used to stop inflammation associated with major auto immune diseases. That level of anti inflammation is likely to cripple the body's immune system. In these cases, it resulted in death due to serious infection. Cholesterol, Statins, The Truth Revealed! Part 1 - MUST SEE!

59:44
http://www.TrypnauralMeditation.com/blog for more free articles, tips and cutting edge health advice. Pharmacist and Natural Health Consultant Niraj Naik MPharm attempts to give cholesterol, a substance found in every human being, a fair trial, as it has for many years been accused of causing heart disease. This is a talk held for the Yoga Teachers, Traditional Yoga Association, UK 2011 After many years of research during his work as a pharmacist he felt there was something not quite right with the hypothesis that high cholesterol and saturated fat leads to heart disease. Due to the enormous number of side effects his patients were suffering from after using the blockbuster heart drugs, statins, he was further motivated to seek alternatives to help them. His work uncovers the ugly truth that the perhaps the current cholesterol hypothesis is a blatant lie, with the truth about what really causes heart disease being hidden from the public for the benefit of corporate profit. Part 1: Niraj shows the evidence from both sides, so you can make an informed decision on whether or not cholesterol is to blame for the cause of heart disease. Part 2: Niraj explains the new and probably more likely hypothesis for what really causes heart disease. Unfortunately it is more complex than the culprit being a single molecule, allowing a drug to be designed to alter its function or levels in the blood. Instead a more holistic and natural treatment is necessary for the prevention of heart disease, and some options are revealed that are completely drug and side effect free with compelling evidence to support that backs them. Lipitor

28:33
Reducing cholesterol levels with Lipitor or its generic version atorvastatin may reduce risk of atherosclerosis or fatty deposition in the vessel walls. The new theory is to simply take the pill based on initial cholesterol levels and not pay too much attention to the final level. Some even more recent ideas question cholesterol as a major precipitant of cardiovascular disease.

Similarly, abdominal pain can be a mild or serious side effect, depending on how persistent and severe your pain is. “Severe stomach pain that is persistent and associated with other symptoms, such as fever or severe fatigue, should be evaluated by a medical professional promptly, as this can be a sign of liver damage caused by the medication as well,” says Sattler. atorvastatin weight loss. Cardiovascular: There is an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke if atorvastatin is started within 6 months of having a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). If you have a history of stroke or have had a recent stroke, discuss with your doctor how this medication may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of this medication, and whether any special monitoring is needed. Grapefruit juice: Taking atorvastatin dosage side effects and consuming grapefruit juice may result in an increased amount of atorvastatin in the body, and lead to side effects. If you regularly drink grapefruit juice, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about whether you should change your diet. Pregnancy: Cholesterol is necessary for the development of an unborn baby. Taking this medicine during pregnancy reduces the amount of cholesterol reaching the developing baby and may cause harm to the baby. It should not be taken by pregnant women. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and contact your doctor. A serious allergic reaction is an emergency. Contact a doctor straight away if you think you or someone around you is having a serious allergic reaction. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100 million Americans have high cholesterol. Statins are medications that lower cholesterol levels. But, who should take them? A study in the New England Journal of Medicine reports that statins lower the risk of cardiovascular events in people at medium risk without cardiovascular disease. In this Mayo Clinic Minute, reporter Vivien Williams talks to cardiologist Dr. Stephen Kopecky about statins and the study. The first “commercially” available, FDA approved statin was introduced over 30 years ago (lovastatin 1997) and this was formulated based on a natural substance, that I’ll reveal to you in a minute. The most popular ones that you’ve probably heard of are Lipitor (Atorvastatin), Crestor (Rosuvastatin) and Zocor (Simvastatin). Muscle pain AND damage. Just keep in mind that your body, including your HEART is functional ONLY because of your muscles. Liver Damage 80% of your cholesterol is made within the liver, NOT from the foods you eat. These drugs go inside your liver, prevent the formation of cholesterol and in the process, DAMAGE your liver. Elevated Blood Sugar and Type 2 Diabetes One of the worst things for again and every problem in your body is high blood sugar and insulin levels. Neurological Problems Sure, it causes depression, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, etc., etc. I’m not even going to get into arthritis, elevated blood pressure and probably the WORST problem of all - hormonal imbalances. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Additionally and more importantly, you ALSO want optimal ratios of your HDL (“good” cholesterol/lipoprotein) and LDL (“bad” cholesterol/lipoprotein). Well, that’s from Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. The natural form of this extract, in small doses, has all the positive “cholesterol lowering” benefits, but without the negatives of the synthetic drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote health cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract Phytosterols Complex Garlic Policosanol Instead of taking thyroid drugs, I suggest taking Guggulsterones (10% Pure Extract; E and Z) Iodine (Kelp Extract) Cleanse Your Liver As stated earlier, most people don’t know that 80% of your cholesterol is created within your body, by your liver… and NOT from the foods you eat. This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. Thus, the stronger your liver, the easier your body will eliminate and detox “excess cholesterol” from your blood. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels. Reduce Homocysteine Levels All doctors are so focused on improving cholesterol to help you avoid heart disease, a heart attack or stroke -- that they forget (or don’t KNOW!) about something super important and that’s your Homocysteine Levels. In fact, researchers now believe that testing homocysteine levels is over 47% more accurate at predicting heart disease, than checking cholesterol. The cool part is that you can easily and quickly improve Homocysteine levels by simply taking a specific ratio of certain B-Vitamins Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL) Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) Folate (as 5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) Vitamin B5 [Pantesin® d-Pantethine (special form of B5)] Reduce Inflammation Finally, one of the leading causes of many illnesses and diseases is inflammation. And there are a few ingredients that’ll help reduce it, 3 of my favorites are: Turmeric (95% curcuminoids Extract) Ginger (10% extract) Mixed Vit. Statins can increase the risk of heart attacks and there is no evidence to support patients taking them, warn researchers The report suggests statins are more likely to cause calcium in the arteries Statins block production of vitamin K, which stops calcification of the heart Report suggests there is 'no evidence' to support people taking drug Around 12 million people in the UK take statins to lower cholesterol By SHARI MILLER FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 15:33, 10 January 2016 | UPDATED: 18:05, 10 January 2016 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3392611/Statins-increase-risk-heart-attacks-no-evidence-support-patients-taking-warn-researchers.html A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins Statins, which are designed to help protect people from heart failure, can actually increase the risk of a heart attack according to a new study. Researchers say the drugs, which are taken by around 12 million patients in the UK, are more likely to cause calcium deposits in the arteries, which can lead to a heart attack. Statins were developed to lower cholesterol, but they also block a molecule needed to produce vitamin K, which prevents calcification of the arteries. The author of the report, published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology, says there is 'no evidence to support people taking statins', which opponents say also cause other health issues including skeletal weakness and muscle pain. Professor Harumi Okuyama, of Nagoya City University, Japan, told the Sunday Express:'We have collected a wealth of information on cholesterol and statins from many published papers and find overwhelming evidence that these drugs accelerate hardening of the arteries and can cause, or worsen, heart failure.' Similarly, Dr Peter Langsjoen, a heart specialist based in Texas who is co-author of the study, said: 'These drugs should never have been approved for use. The long-term effects are devastating.' However, there is plenty of support for statins within the medical profession and the drugs are considered to generally lower cholesterol levels by 25 to 35 per cent. The medications Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor and other statins have been the standard treatment for lowering cholesterol for more than 20 years. Those pills work by curbing the production of cholesterol in the liver. Statins have also long been recommended for people who already have heart disease and have been credited with helping to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. A spokesman for MHRA, the Government drug regulator, said: 'The benefits of statins are well established and are considered to outweigh the risk of side effects in the majority of patients.' Last year, NHS watchdog NICE encouraged GPs to prescribe the cholesterol-busting drugs to anyone with a 10 per cent chance of having a heart attack. That change has resulted in 17million adults - nearly all people over the age of 40 - now being eligible to take the drugs.

CoQ10 and Statins - CoQ10 To The Rescue

04:48
CoQ10 and Statins: You should not take statins without CoQ10. Smart people have established this. Link to Ultra Accel ll for mitochondrial biogenesis and statin protection: https://bit.ly/2bxIboB As we age, our bodies make less CoQ10. CoQ10 is vital to life. Not only should you consider taking CoQ10 as an adult, but especially so if you take statins such as Crestor, Lipitor etc. Statins compete with and displace CoQ10 from enzyme sites. There are many additional benefits to supplementing with CoQ10. Some benefits include resistance to fatique, improved mental clarity, cardiovascular energy augmentation and much more. Dr. Al Sears M.D. noted anti-aging clinician and spokesman, has a special supplement combining the recommended natural form of CoQ10 with PQQ & the Immortality Vine into Ultra Accel ll. The latter 2 components boost cellular energy and help create NEW mitochondria in the case of PQQ. If you or someone you know takes statins, they should supplement the statins with CoQ10. That is a requirement in Japan and the trend is growing in the U.S. Click the link in the description. Adverse Effects of Statins are Far Worse Than You Think

07:18
Whenever drug is criticised, big pharma comes to the rescue to salvage profits. What else would you expect when the reason big pharma exists is to make profits for their shareholders. Last year (2013) the British Medical Journal printed an article that criticized a previous article published in the same journal that suggested extending treatment with statins for people with a low risk for cardiovasculars disease. Needless to say, this caused a hullabaloo for those people who published the previous study, the Cholesterol Treatment Trialists' Collaboration, with the contention that their data that showed an 18-20% incidence of adverse drug reactions was incorrect. Of course, it depends on what you consider an ADE! Most of the data identifying the side effects comes from the website of the manufacturer of the drug in question. Do you think this information is likely to include the full extent of side effects when the goal is to sell drug to make profit? For example, we reported a study showing that 40% of people on statins had muscle fatigue, and in 10% it was severe. It is necessary to add up the percentages from each side effect to see the incidence of side effects. Have a look at this URL: http://www.doctorsaputo.com/a/statins-cause-fatigue

Sacred Truth Ep. 47: Statins - Don't Believe All You're Told

08:00
To learn more: http://lesliekenton.com/health/video/sacred-truth-ep-47-statins-dont-believe-all-youre-told/ I continue to be horrified by guidelines issued by the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, which speak of giving statin drugs to healthy people. Meanwhile, draft recommendations from the US Preventive Task Force have issued new directives claiming that healthy people should be taking statin drugs as a “preventative against possible future illness.” Their main plan is to see one third of all adults in the United States are put on statin drugs—44% of all men and 22% of all women—even if none of these people have ever had a previous heart attack or stroke. Statins are the most widely prescribed drugs on the market. One in four Americans over 45 are already on statins, despite more than 900 studies reporting dangerous side effects from these drugs. These range from heightened risks of cancer and diabetes to sexual problems, neuropathy, and liver dysfunction, as well as immune system suppression, and even a higher risk of cataracts. In Britain too, statins are the most commonly prescribed drugs, costing the NMS £450 million a year. Now 40% of adults (175 million people) are being advised to take the drug. If the new directives are put into practice by the UK medical establishment—as they are likely to be—the numbers of men and women being prescribed statins could well become legion. What are statins anyway? Statins are a group of drugs prescribed to lower cholesterol levels by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a central role in the production of cholesterol in the liver. Statins have many different names, such as Lipitor, Lescol, Mevacor, Altocor, and Zocor. These drugs are prescribed on the assumption that they will lower the risks of cardiovascular events and strokes. The new directives assert that, if given to healthy people, they could help protect the population from heart attacks and strokes at some time in the future. Happily, a growing number of cardiologists are strongly opposed to the new directives. What’s the problem with statins? Plenty: • They deplete your body of CoQ10, which is essential for every cell in your body, and ubiquinol. Both CoQ10 and ubiquinol keep the so-called bad cholesterol from doing harm to your body. However, very few mainstream doctors are ever aware of these dangers. One exception is cardiologist Steven Sinatra, founder of the New England Heart Center. Sinatra recommends that anyone taking statins should take between 100 and 200 mg of CoQ10 or ubiquinol each day as protection. • Statins lower Vitamin K2 in the body. This puts you at risk of deficiency of this vitamin, which contributes to chronic diseases, such as osteoporosis, cancer, and brain disease. • Long-term statin use—10 years or so—has been shown to increase your risk of diabetes, neurogenerative diseases, musculoskeletal problems, and even cataracts. Dr. Eric Topol, highly respected cardiologist and Professor of Genomics at Scripps Research Institute in California, wrote an excellent article for The New York Times Opinion Page in which he warns: “We’re overdosing on cholesterol-lowering statins.” Topol is especially concerned about the sharp increase in the prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes that is occurring in people using them. He writes: “Statins have been available since the 1980s but their risk of inducing diabetes did not surface for nearly 20 years. When all the data available from multiple studies was pooled in 2010 for more than 91,000 patients randomly assigned to be treated with a statin or a sugar pill (placebo), the risk of developing diabetes with any statin was one in every 255 patients treated. But this figure is misleading since it includes weaker statins like Pravachol and Mevacor—which were introduced earlier and do not carry any clear-cut risk. It is only with the more potent statins—Zocor (now known as simvastatin), Lipitor (atorvastatin), and Crestor (rosuvastatin)—particularly at higher doses—that the risk of diabetes shows up. The cause and effect was unequivocal because the multiple large trials of the more potent statins had a consistent excess of diabetes.” Meanwhile, a recent study by Jean A. McDougall and her colleagues in the Journal of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention reveals that long-term use of statins increases the risk of both lobular and ductal breast cancer in women between 55 and 74. Lipitor Linked to Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes

Statins are a class of drugs used to lower cholesterol. One of the most popular brands is Lipitor.   Now, you may have heard that one of the adverse side effects is type 2 diabetes and patients taking the drug have a 9% increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes -- but it has also been documented that patients taking the drug at a higher dosage than the recommended dose have a higher increased risk above 9%.   The manufacturers of Lipitor failed to put the warnings of such devastating side effects on the labels until 2012. If you or a loved one has developed type 2 diabetes before, during or even after 2012, you should contact an experienced lawyer as soon as possible. You may be able to recover medical bills, time off from work and pain and suffering. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Metal on Metal Joint Replacement Surgery Complications - Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFGT3WD_Ndg -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

The Dangers of Statins (Cholesterol lowering statin drugs Side Effects LDL cholesterol Myth CoQ10)

18:07
Statins (cholesterol-lowering medication) are heavily promoted, used by millions of people and one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the world. Health authorities claim statins reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes because they lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol. Yet these claims are contradicted by statistics and medical studies. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/07/20/the-truth-about-statin-drugs-revealed.aspx http://next-level-nutrition.com/?p=6075 http://naturalnews.com/032448_statin_drugs_scam.html http://www.ravnskov.nu/cholesterol.htm#a The hypothesis is that 'bad' LDL cholesterol clogs up arteries leading to heart attacks and strokes. However, medical research has shown that: 1. People with high cholesterol tend to live longer. 2. People with heart disease tend to have low levels of cholesterol. 3. Lowering cholesterol in a population does not reduce the rate of heart disease. 4. Statins increase(!) the risk of heart disease and strokes. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2005/05/28/cholesterol-heart.aspx http://drbenkim.com/articles-cholesterol.html http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/the-great-cholesterol-con http://cholesterolconspiracy.blogspot.com http://amazon.com/The-Great-Cholesterol-Myth-Disease/dp/1592335217 Statin drugs have become a huge global industry, generating more than $29 billion each year. Dr. Duane Graveline (M.D., M.P.H) is a doctor, a flight specialist and previous space traveler. One year NASA was completing a yearly physical on him. He breezed through every one of the tests (physical, intellectual, and so forth.). However, they saw his cholesterol was in the "high" range and instructed him to take Lipitor (atorvastatin) - a cholesterol bringing down statin tranquilize. A month and a half later, he had serious memory issues, so terrible that he had here and now, worldwide amnesia (TGA). Moreover, when NASA retested him, his cholesterol was lower and he breezed through that test … yet he fizzled the psychological test and he wasn't permitted to go to space. Dr. Graveline chose to get off Lipitor, in spite of the reality different doctors, specialists and drug specialists said it couldn't be Lipitor causing these issues. After a year, when it was his next yearly NASA physical, they again instructed him to take Lipitor, however this time at a large portion of the dose. Along these lines, Dr. Graveline reluctantly took after their suggestion. This second time, the outcomes were far and away more terrible - amnesia PLUS "retrograde loss of memory" returning to his secondary school years. Indeed, his memory misfortune was significantly more extreme. He again quit taking Lipitor and expounded on this circumstance in a book called, "Lipitor Thief of Memory" which was composed in 2005. Which likewise incorporates liver harm, hypertension, joint pain, raised glucose levels, diabetes, hormonal lopsided characteristics, muscle misfortune and brought down sex drive and barrenness, to give some examples. Add to the way that my father's mother (my grandma) had Alzheimer's, I would not like to hazard it and got my father off of Lipitor … against his specialist's requests. Rather, I chose to inquire about, characteristic, protected and solid fixings and options for having sound cholesterol levels. Furthermore, that is what I will uncover today. Normal Alternatives So how about we get appropriate to it, I'll make this fast. In the first place, your objective isn't to have "low" cholesterol, you need HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Presently, one of my most loved characteristic fixings to help enhance cholesterol levels is called, Red Yeast Rice, which is a typical sustenance in Asia. Truth be told, this is a characteristic statin. In any case, the "mystery" to utilizing Red Yeast Rice is you just need to utilize it in little measurements. Besides, you should utilize the "concentrate" shape, not the "root" or "powder" frame which is useless. Lastly, you need to ensure that the "poisonous" result, Citrinin is evacuated. Some other frame either won't work or you'll need such a high measurements, to the point that you'll have statin symptoms - clearly, no where close as awful as Lipitor. Once more, remember that on the off chance that you ONLY utilize Red Yeast Rice to enhance your cholesterol levels, you'll have to utilize a high measurement, which will in the long run prompt a portion of the same, statin symptoms. THIS is the genuine mystery to having solid cholesterol levels, normally - without drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically demonstrated, normal home grown concentrates that advance sound cholesterol levels and adjusted lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract (15% Chlorogenic Acid, 5% Cynarin) Phytosterols Complex (40% concentrate from non-GMO pine tree separate) Garlic (Extract 5% alliin) Policosanol (from Sugar Cane - Saccharum species) Enhance Your Thyroid Rinse Your Liver Did you realize that 80% of the cholesterol in your body is made by your liver, and NOT from the sustenances you eat? This is the reason ordinarily, the adjustment in your eating routine doesn't make sensational enhancements in cholesterol levels. The incongruity is that ALL medications, particularly statins, cause liver harm and in this way, will in the end increment your cholesterol levels and this is the reason you continue increasing the measurements of these medications. Drain Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which additionally help your safe framework. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which additionally helps bring down your glucose. Diminish Homo cysteine Levels

Are you one of the millions of people who has taken the cholesterol-lowering drug called Lipitor? If so, you'll want to watch this video about the increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. For more information, visit our website at http://www.lawmed.com/. And don't forget to watch our other videos at http://www.youtube.com/hensonfuerst/. (Principal office of Henson & Fuerst, PA: 2501 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607) Do you—or have you ever taken—Lipitor? If so, you’ll want to watch this video to learn about drug side effects that could threaten your life. Hello, I’m David Henson, a partner with HensonFuerst Attorneys. Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium) is prescribed to patients for cholesterol management. Pfizer, Inc., the drug’s manufacturer, markets Lipitor as a medication that can lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, certain types of heart surgery, and chest pains in patients who have, or are at risk for, heart disease. But because the drug can also cause increased blood glucose levels, patients who take Lipitor may face increased risks of developing Type 2 diabetes. We’ve seen this in women who have taken Lipitor for at least 30 days, especially within the last 6 months of use. Lipitor is part of a class of cholesterol-lowering drugs known as statins. In 2012, the FDA released a report citing serious health risks for people using statins, including Lipitor. Those risks include development of diabetes, and worsening glycemic control. As a result, statin drug packaging was updated to include information about these risks. Before then, Lipitor’s label failed to warn patients of any potential relation between changes in blood sugar levels and taking Lipitor. Despite scientific data suggesting that Lipitor was linked to the development of Type 2 diabetes, the drug was marketed as safe and effective. If you are a woman who took Lipitor and developed Type 2 diabetes, contact HensonFuerst Attorneys today to discuss your legal options at 1-800-4-LAWMED.

Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes

Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Statins are a treatment prescribed in the case of high “bad” cholesterol levels, as a way to reduce them and support heart health. However, a recent study has shown that they are far more harmful than beneficial. Statin drugs, like Crestor, Lipitor, and Zocor, are often prescribed, and only in the United States, more than $374 billion are spent on them in the year 2014. They are quite expensive, but consumers should worry about much more than the price. According to a study published in the American Journal of Physiology, statins “…impact on other biologic properties of stem cells provides a novel explanation for their adverse clinical effects. “ Hence, the side effects of these drugs include accelerated “process of aging” and the “…long-term use of statins has been associated with adverse effects including myopathy, neurological side effects and an increased risk of diabetes.” Myopathy is a condition of skeletal muscle weakness. Moreover, researchers have found the health issues caused by statins have been downplayed recently. People taking statins often experience muscle pain, memory loss, fatigue, liver damage, and cataracts. Also, statins wreak havoc in cells as they obstruct the repair process of the body. As stated by the professor Reza Izadpanah, a stem cell biologist and lead author of the published study, “Our study shows statins may speed up the aging process. People who use statins as a preventative medicine for [health] should think again as our research shows they may have general unwanted effects on the body which could include muscle pain, nerve problems, and joint problems.” Yet, even though statins are related to multiple side-effects, FDA claims they are safe and effective. At the same time, their online site maintains that “Cognitive (brain-related) impairment, such as memory loss, forgetfulness, and confusion, has been reported by some statin users” and that “People being treated with statins may have an increased risk of raised blood sugar levels and the development of Type 2 diabetes.” The site focuses on the advice of Amy G. Egan, M.D., M.P.H., the deputy director for safety in the FDA’s Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology Products (DMEP), who claims that: “This new information should not scare people off statins. Their benefit is indisputable, but they need to be taken with care and knowledge of their side effects.” However, the findings of recent studies indicate that there is a need for further research on the effects of prescription drugs, as they are linked to numerous adverse effects. Another similar study on the adolescent antidepressant “Paxil” found some rather disturbing facts as well. Namely, scientists have found certain flaws in the original study. They found that the drug is neither safe nor efficient. Hence, Brian Nosek, a professor of psychology at the University of Virginia believes that it “signals that the community is waking up, checking its work and doing what science is supposed to do — self-correct.” ====================================== statin drugs ,what are statin drugs ,cholesterol drugs ,new cholesterol drug ,statin drugs side effects ,list of statin drugs ,cholesterol lowering drugs ,cholesterol drugs list ,cholesterol reducing drugs ,non statin cholesterol drugs ,cholesterol drugs side effects ,side effects of cholesterol lowering drugs ,statin drugs for cholesterol ,statin drugs and memory loss ,dangers of statin drugs ,statin drugs and diabetes https://youtu.be/jc3h3x5KV1s Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11
