Out of the Wood. Into the city. Watch the brand new trailer for Disney's Christopher Robin. See the film in theatres August 3.
In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s “Christopher Robin,” the young boy who shared countless adventures with his band of lovable stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood is now grown up and living in London but he has lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life once again.
Disney’s “Christopher Robin” is directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Alex Ross Perry and Allison Schroeder and a story by Perry based on characters created by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. The producers are Brigham Taylor and Kristin Burr with Renée Wolfe and Jeremy Johns serving as executive producers. The film stars Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin; Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn; Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline; and Mark Gatiss as Giles Winslow, Robin’s boss. The film also features the voices of: Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger; Brad Garrett as Eeyore; Toby Jones as Owl; Nick Mohammed as Piglet; Peter Capaldi as Rabbit; and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.
Did anyone else notice the “tigger knot” reference? When tigger is tying the important papers to Eeyore’s back he says “it’s a tigger knot”. Anyone from the south will probably understand this reference and it makes me sad that someone felt the need to trash up my favorite childhood characters. Petty.
One of the best things about the film is Jim Cummings voicing Pooh and Tigger again,
as having that familiar voice just makes the nostalgia deeper, and more meaningful.
Like it's the very same Pooh from the cartoons that we grew up watching.
I think Christopher Robin represents all of us. We've all been reminded of a time that we haven't really thought of in a while. We've all been taken back to that time. We've all been reminded of our childhoods.
I waited until the end of the movie and coul dnt take it anymore I just started bawling my eyes out in hysteria. I had to call my sister to help me recuperate and vented about how Christopher robin grew up to be such an a-hole ): Btw I'm 25
As a kid, "Winnie the Pooh" was one of my favourites. Time passes by so quickly and after watching "Christopher Robin", feeling old like Christopher Robin does in the film. We will be gone one day but Pooh will be there with many generations to come. Maybe wiser than before.
Most kids won't understand the love we have for this movie, they brought it back, not only because Christopher Robin forgot about Pooh, we did too, and we needed some reminding of what really matters in life, I still have all my stuffed animals from Pooh to this day, my childhood was in this movie, loved it, and I will never forget about Pooh anymore..
