With Sprint introducing their Unlimited Freedom Plans, we decided to take a look at other unlimited plans from major carriers to see exactly what they are offering and what we can expect from these plans. Of course, especially with no speed limit, you can use it instead of fiber and wifi, and surf the Internet anywhere.

How much does 40gb cost vs the cost of unlimited?

Have you reviewed the "HP Elite X3" yet?> gives us Phone and PC at the same time option.
Roger Wittekind (10 месяцев назад)
FYI you do not need an unlimited plan to get over 20 gig of data a month. Both Sprint and AT&T have 3G with no data caps but you can't get too much data a month on 3G.
Roger Wittekind (10 месяцев назад)
Sprint stream in 4k? (03:18) While I love Sprint most the time their download speeds would not support 4K videos. But I like them for their ability to stream directly from their phones.

Verizon has an unlimited beyond plan $75 plus tax they throttle back at 15G but only 1/3 speed drop but it’s not really noticeable being they offer the fastest cell speed. AT&T has second fastest plan Unlimited Data Plus SM $75 Plus tax and they just started the 22G cap before throttling Jan 2018 but they throttle their speed back to 1/2 normal speed but you get Directv HBO for life for free on your mobile device. Sprint and T-mobile are both cheaper and you get what you pay for almost nothing for unlimited plan but less than 10mbps both up and down and they are both piggybacking off the two bigger carriers Verizon and AT&T.

Elias Escobar (1 год назад)
I use on average about 28GB of data. That’s just data that I use away from my house. If I ONLY used data I would probably be cracking the 60GB mark.

Personally, between my husband and I, we would never in a million years need unlimited data. We are on WiFi about 90-95% of the time. I work from home, so my phone is pretty much always on WiFi and my husband has WiFi at work, which he is always on. We are currently on the 6 GB plan with rollover on AT&T and most months we don't even touch 2 GB. We were actually just talking about downgrading to the 3 GB plan. I never could understand how people manage to blow through such massive amounts of data each month. If you have WiFi at home (which a majority of people do), why not just use that? It will save you a ton of money!

Vaseline (1 год назад)
I'm on MetroPCS and I have the $50 Unlimited LTE plan, I need it because I don't have wifi and I travel a lot. I use a shit ton of data, and I'm never slowed down.
OG Johnson (1 год назад)
Oh and to answer you're Question about how much data i use the answer is anywhere from 23.2GB too 57.1GB a Cycle. I use GPS Alot for work and i use facetime 10 mins everyday mon thru Friday talking to the wife and kids and i watch netflix episode's here in there on my Lunch break. And my wife uses about 10GB a week just going to places and appointment's with the kids. Plus she takes and post a ton of pics every day. However at home we have wifi so if we didn't we would go thru alot more as you can tell. But even with that said we both go thru alot of data. However T-Mobile doesn't work in 50% of the places my job sends me too. So i can't switch to T-Mobile and sprint is even worse they don't work 70% of the places my job sends me too. My phone is GSM so i couldn't use them anyway and that also exits out verizon. So,guess im stuck with AT&T Go Phone Cause im not signing a contact! Already got screwed that way with Verizon awhile back. Never again will do contract! Cost more and it's permanent for 2 years no negotiations. Smh what can i do?
OG Johnson (1 год назад)
I have At&t Go Phone and i'm Currently on the $65 dollar plan unlimited but it's now throttled down to 3Mbps now with the new plans that came out. however the signal app says that my download is 3.97 and upload is 3.19 and it never goes any lower then 3.07 download and 3.0 Upload and i have a iphone 6 plus 64GB phone. but my co-worker has the HTC 1 and Has The New 6 GB plan and his Highest speed was 27.3Mbps download and 8.19 upload however during peak hours his data is 7.91Mbps download and 3.97 upload, however when he runs out of data he gets slowed down to 128kbps. So basically what I'm getting at is why is his speeds faster then mine? Both of us have At&t Go Phone service.
unlawful 23 (1 год назад)
i would just get a prepaid plan.
MobileDecay (1 год назад)
Just mentioning this. You may not be using a lot of data because of your limit. So looking at how much data you use is not a good way of going about it. I have unlimited because I stream hd video on youtube all the time and I'm always worried about going over. I also can't stream my music and feel comfortable if i'm using data to do it so I have to fill up my storage with offline music. Having unlimited means I don't have to worry about overage charged like I had with my last bill which was almost $400. because I forgot to turn my wifi on. I can avoid issues like that.
Rhandy (1 год назад)
i get 5gb daily but when its close to running out i have to manually add more which is free but a bit annoying at times

t mobile unlimited is $100 a month
Homer Thompson (1 год назад)
All the major networks throttle after around 20 or 30 gigs of data usage per month. The only plan that's somewhat passable is T-Mobile's unlimited plan with their "Binge On" service which lets you stream all the major services (YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, etc.) without having it count towards your data. The caveat with that service is that they only let you stream videos at a lower resolution (480p) and stream music at a lower bitrate (I forgot the number but it's definitely lower than 320kbps). That would probably be fine for most people but if you're a tech guy that's really into specs, you're going to have a bad user experience. Viewing Netflix on 480p looks heavily pixelated.

Some of you ever heard of WiFi?? Good god 45gb? You must have your face in a screen every waking hour.
MobileDecay (1 год назад)
I stream music to my headphones while walking. That doesn't require my face in my phone. Unlimited data can also get around a lack of space on your phone. so instead of downloading a video on wifi to watch while waiting somewhere or in a car you can stream it and keep your storage space free for something else. Some people use there phone as a radio. My father has sirius and he uses his phone in his car to stream it.

Thanks Portland Guy. I have Tmobile for now. That will make me think more about Verizon. I had them and while their calls are crystal clear, wasn't fond of their customer service and mobile hotspot issues. Thanks again.

T-Mobile sucks where I live and won't be getting any of my money. AT&T is fine, but they always seem to want a deposit no matter my credit. Sprint is not an option either.
Virginia Lynn Rose (1 год назад)
I have T-mobile and I use my phone for YouTube videos, Facebook. Township game, song pop game, Google Chrome, Gmail, calls, text messaging, messenger, Google map, Google drive, meetup, ebay, listia, jata, transit, Shealth, Google fit, my fitness pal, workout trainer, you version, accuweather, etsy, spreaker, spreaker studio, musixmatch, shazam. I upload zumba videos on youtube. I watch crochet videos on youtube. Sometimes I use my mobile hot spot. But mostly I use WiFi on my tablet and laptop and smart TV and Blu-ray player. I have WiFi at my home. I use 16GB to 34GB of Data on my phone per month. I rather download music and keep the songs on my external hard drive and SD cards and USB thumb drives and listen to the music I want when I want rather that online radio where they choose the songs for you.
mnash3 (1 год назад)
It is a case by case basis. I never use my unlimited plan, but I encourage everyone to consider the unlimited plans if it is a good fit. The data plan caps are much more generous now so you might have point, buuuuuuut unlimited plans were made for people like me. When the plans were not so generous, I had to go over my minutes and I even called them before I went over to try to get an understanding of the costs for going over. Long story short, I got hit with an $800 cellphone bill for going over. I ponied up and paid the bill and I was pissed, buuuuuut I have been on unlimited plan ever since. I do not have time to babysit my phone and be stressed everytime I want or need to make a call. II need to just be able to handle my business with no stress or to watch a movie with no stress. And that my friend is how the unlimited plans were birthed for ticked off people like me....Now, we are saying... Alright big carriers, you have made your money off of us.... There is no more research and development for you to do, no more technology advancements significant enough to be made, and no more towers for you to put up..... Sooooooo we are saying that a fair price is $40/month for everything. Cricket can do it so we do not see why the big carriers are not able to do it. And there you go.....
Asludabu (1 год назад)
any takes on metro pcs unlimited? I pay $60/month for unlimited talk, text, and 4gLTE, never had throttling issues, I get 8GB of hotspot, and I use about 30GB of data every month, no complaints.

Victor Sinclair (1 год назад)
This is a weird one. Why are you pushing the narrative that data caps are fine based around your family's limited use? I know I use more than 40 gigs and I'm so glad I'm on T-mobile's simple choice for $50/line unlimited.
Rove Plant Eater (1 год назад)
I wish there were plans for unlimited talk with no text and no data. When I had a phone i used no data.

Rove Plant Eater https://republicwireless.com/faqs/ they have a $15 plan & use sprint or T-Mobile for coverage.

You can get unlimited data with ATT without direct tv. But you have to be proven that you can't get direct tv(no signal, bad area, not Available in your area) and with a little bit of hassling you can get unlimited.

I was wondering if I was to buy the roku 2 would I need able to connect to an unlimited data plan if I got say a $150 phone from T-Mobile and the most expensive plan? Or do I need to get WiFi thru my cable company? If I do have to then I will but I work so much that YouTube and Netflix is plenty. Lol please be nice I'm not a tech guy

flett044 .-. (1 год назад)
Richard Denaris You would need an app from the play store called pdanet. Set the app up with a windows 7 or above pc (directions are in app) and turn on Windows ad hoc or wifi share. You can also use a software called connectify. The roku should then find your pc "wifi" network, connect to the network like usual. I would recommend getting a wifi through your cable company if your not a tech guy since it's easier.

i have T-Mobile for already 3 years. switch from Verizon. i have used over 300GB of data streaming 1440p videos on YouTube and also Netflix ect... i have no problem with video quality or my network slowing down. cost me only 80 a month only n im satisfied with it since i have no tv or anything else besides my phone to watch videos n movies at home.

lol I have unlimited 4G LTE on ATT for $30 a month

Simon Bach (1 год назад)
How can they call it unlimited, if its so poor quality? We get 500GB of data for less than 80$/mo on LTE/4G (which gives me roughly 20-28mbit)
