I agree! Hustling people into buying what they really don't want generates buyer's remorse and it can also lead to damaging your credibility in the future!

I can't agree with you more Victor, I'm in an MLM business and they push all the standard closes; it's the best time ever, we only have a select few positions left, just join and you can get to the top in months and so on. It's sad because I actually believe in the business, just think it's being done all wrong. I have a blog trying to teach these very techniques and showing how "Attraction Marketing" is the way to go, inform your prospects and let them make an informed decision.

Telling People the TRUTH about Selling, is never easy! Telling People that Closing LOSES Sales, is the great TRUTH. That Closers are 'C' Losers! Keep the Faith Victor. Truth will win through.

I love this straight forward approach. Old school sales tactics simply don't work anymore. If they don't work on YOU, why would they work on the people that you are trying to sell to?

Travis, each sales scenario is unique so there is no one way to "seal the deal"...but your pitch should be compelling enough to get them to lean your way.

Don't get me wrong, having a positive attitude is "a" component, but a bigger component is the "value" you deliver and express. Focus on solving problems, answer questions and empowering clients to make decision is the goal. Sidenote: As the joke goes, an idiot who is positive gives equals a positive idiot :-)
