When a client says " That's too expensive! " that doesn't mean they can't afford it. It could mean three things.

Another logical reason could be that they are really saying "that's an awfully big/expensive solution for such a small problem" In other words, you haven't helped illustrate the full extent/cost of the problem. Example: if I told you I could save you money on the coolant costs of your refrigerator, with a solution that only costs $15,000 - what would you say? "Whoa. That's way too expensive!" But what if I told you that your warehouse's food storage system is costing $45,000/yr of extra cooling costs that I can help you save, with a solution that only costs $15,000 and is guaranteed for 10 years? In those 10 years you'll save around $450,000. Now what would you say? See what I mean?

Great information Victor! Here is another idea. That's too expensive might mean. "I don't think I deserve it." I sense that a lot of people have a sort of self depreciating attitude and guilt that doesn't allow themselves to enjoy nice things. Sometimes people need to hear that its ok for them to own and enjoy something nice. I am curious what you think about this. Thanks for these videos! Quint Lears - New Home Sales

Quint, that's an interesting perspective I hadn't thought of and in the case of buying a new home (for example), I can see how that my be a psychological (negative) trigger of "not being worthy" (i.e., guilt). Very interesting! Thank you for sharing! VA

That's cool! Whenever I hear that from customer, I just thought they don't wanna buy it, and it's the end of case. Now I learned what I can offer. Thank you!
