The big issue ive seen is many sales people try to memorize other salesman's words from old scripts as supposed to  memorizing their own script and delivering the correct  message in their own words

Antonio! I’m a fresh college grad with a chem major trying to break into sales because I realized the lab ain’t for me. I’m close to landing this SaaS job, but last Friday we were to have an interview, but got pushed back 6 weeks! I really want this job, and I called the person I was to interview with who appreciated that I called, and that I had the tencacity to still want the job. He scheduled a zoom (skype) interview on Oct. 10, where I’ll give a presenation on my knowledge of the SDR role and the product. What I worry, is whether I’m being taken for a ride. Any advice? I think the pushed the interview back because they didn’t like the candidates they had, how do I convince them, that an entry level candidate can hit the ground runnin? I feel that Oct. 10 is far away, should I try demanding that they hire me before then by giving an amazong pitch on phone? Demonstrating my knowledge of the product, the role, and tools like salesforce; salesloft, engagio, discoverorg, and LinkedIn Sales navigator? I really like this company and job

Smoothbluehero sell yourself before the products. Dig into what you have gone through and how it can help the company and your work style. What sets you apart from other candidates? Don’t be afraid to tell them. Also keep correspondence and sell yourself. Work towards getting your foot in the door. Cold call, email follow up, push for an earlier day — ask for a few minutes and take 20. If they don’t have a few, ask for five and take ten. Good luck.
