Dr Joel Fuhrman, an Amazing Doctor committed to building incredible health and I have decided to follow of Nutritarian diet to enjoy incredible health and be away from 3 D's, Doctors, Disease, and Drugs.
Those problems can sometimes be caused by dietary problems in athletes. My back round is in dogsled racing, we found that racing dogs were dying suddenly from heart failure during long distance races. The cause was a lack of vitamin e. The dogs needed a higher level of key nutrients to perform at that level. We need to cover all the important nutrients and it becomes very critical when we have a athletic event to perform.
I tried, I couldn't find anything conclusive. Of course I'm talking about natural lifters, not those using PEDs, e.g., Lance Armstrong. I've read its more than just IGF1, and the balance of IGF1 and IGFBP3 is far more significant.
Rich died of a fatal heart arrhythmia. His heart was 600 ML, i.e. enlarged to double normal size, that in and of itself may not have caused his death. He was probably doing more than just steroids and GH. Many over weight men and athletes have enlarge hearts, but not to that degree. The only cancer he had was spots of skin cancer, probably from too much sun. He was free from CAD, had no blockages, etc. His corner's report was made public.
t's unfortunate that you are promoting a doctor who chooses to do what 99.9% of doctors would never do- blatantly violate the AMA code of ethics and sell supplements for a profit. This is truly a black eye on the medical profession and makes people think doctors are only in it for the money.
Some diabetics are cured with McDougall's approach. I'm using a bit or Fuhrman and McDougal. I eat a big salad but add some rice to it. That starch keeps me satisfied and I'm not missing the oils or animal products at all.
Mcdougalls emphasis on starch was not something this diabetic could do. Mcdougall also doesn't much emphasize phyto nutrients. Mcdougall is a great start for many but I like Fuhrmans inclusion of Phyto-nutrients and explanation of such, and his doable beans and greens approach to carbs and proteins.
The other Docs talk B12 but he is the only one Ive seen so far to address BPA, ALA and dementia. ( hope I've gotten the terminology correct).
He has such great insights on how to eat and live. However, I think he is over zealous on his comments about being able to lower bp meds and blood sugar meds so quickly. It takes way longer than he is suggesting from my experience--personally and others I know that have tried this. Things don't change so quickly so don't get your hopes up! 🙏🏽
people who work with Esstenstyl, Mcdougall and Barnard have reported same results. Folks on intensive 1 week retreats have lowered their meds. I went off all my diabetic meds in3-4 months when losing weight using a low carb diet( and losing 30 lbs ), that included meats so I do NOT think he is over exaggerating.
How fast they come off meds or decrease meds has to do with how much they were taking and how out of control their eating was. A doctor would address a terribly out of control diet by prescribing meds to compensate. So getting the diet in control may quickly lead to decrease in meds like it did in my case.
So far I've lost 90 pounds on a vegan diet, one I started two years ago from Dr Esselstyn's book, and reversed my high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chest pain, colitis, asthma and even my distance eye site no longer requires prescription glasses. I went on Dr. Furhman's gbombs diet very strictly four weeks ago, and I'm loosing more weight and feeling even better. Nutritarian all the way now, but no animal products at all, though he allows it to some very small extent. I'm too afraid to ever eat that way again, at any level.
In the 1940s, the agricultural chemists found that they could fatten their animals faster if they poisoned their metabolic systems with an anti-thyroid drug. The found the animals would get fat on very little food. Yet, the drug turned out to leave a carcinogenic residue in the meat.
Farmers soon found out that corn and soybeans containing polyunsaturated fats (PUFA) would do the same as the anti-thyroid drugs and suppress the respiration of the animals and make them get fat on very little food. In the process they found that they were getting these yellow-fat diseases and brain degenerations (degeneration of the gonads, infertility, and so on).
Around the same time the medical people noticed that the cholesterol was lowered in the process of eating a lot of these polyunsaturated fats. And that led to the spreading of the marketing of unsaturated fats to the human food supply, rather than just for the fattening of farm animals. And since people didn't want to gain weight on the least amount of food, they needed a new reason for selling their fats to humans. And, lowering cholesterol became the excuse in humans.
But the agriculturists knew all through the 1940s that corn and soy oils were very fattening, and eventually, very toxic. But since they sold their animals as soon as they reached a marketable size, they didn't care (if they died later; they were killing them before they had the chance to die of the degenerative diseases)." -RP
Bottom line: Although, the polyunsaturated fats will lower cholesterol (by suppressing the immune system), one of their main functions is to fatten animals, including you if you consume them, on lower calories. This is why farmers use high polyunsaturated fats foods like corn and soy to fatten their animals.
What foods are high in polyunsaturated oils ? Vegetables, seed and nut oils. Nuts, seeds, soy, corn, fatty fish like salmon, omega 3 and 6 oils, fish oil, and animals that are fed a high polyunsaturated diet .
.Eat organic ,eat citrus fruits , take 2 spoons of collagen gelatin every day best brand is called Great lakes Gelatin (hydrolysate Gelatin) from grass fed cows . do not suntan , but go in the sun we need natural Vitamin D . drink water with lemon every day and take 2 grams of vitamin C .Sleep 10 hours , go to bed no later than 10:00pm sleep makes you lose weight , keep you immune system healthy and your skin radiant . lift light weights 3 times a week and eat a low carb diet ,no pasta , no bread , no junk food , no peanut butter ,..... polysaturated fats are toxic they slow down your thyroid you gain weight and also they put plaque in your arteries ! stay away from toxic oils and fats !!!!, no safflower oils , no corn oil , no nuts , no fish oils , no peanut butter they contain polysaturated oils ,. Best oil is cold pressed Coconut oil and extra Olive oil . also coconut oil is good for the skin as a sunblocker .Drink filter pure water .Eat a raw organic carrot a day to detox your liver .
ideologues abound. I'd like to know more about this and will research it. Polyunsaturated fats were en vogue during the early 60's when I was in elementary school and we were studying the heart. I was wondering why we never hear about it anymore. We do hear about Trans fat, however.
