To clarify, not all Canadian universities have co-op programs. The University of Waterloo is unique in that regard, and known to be the only Canadian university to have the majority of their undergrad programs include co-op requirements.
Luba, did you still have to "hassle" the company as if you haven't known/weren't known (by) anybody there even though you already had your internship there and interns are already more likely be hired at the same place?
Marina, thanks for the video. It's obvious that there are many software engineering jobs in the US. Yet, I'd love it if you made a video about factory/service improvement engineering jobs like industrial/mechanical engineering.
Marina, you seem like you couldn't click with your guest this time. And I felt that's because she alternated between looking at the camera and at you instead of at you all the time. First time I see your face falls.
Airbnb was poor 24 hours labor black company. That's just showcase. It is like 24 hours black call center in reality. Nobody wants to wotk for airbnb. It's like bagel morning hell starbucks. But in reality you alone become queen of air wine :(. I like your greedy and jealous app engineer face! What is Greedy app coding? Code drinking wine with gary vee! Because you are embitious you are so jealous, greedy! Greedy app Yoga please!
U make the tackiest videos. Jobs with a salary of 100,000. Advertising Teslas which is just a cover story for the human trafficking industry. I hope u get ur over expired visa revoked and kicked out of my country
Hello I'm learning English by reading audiobooks. Each sentence in the book I repeat 10 times. What would you advise me to do to read one page of each sentence 10 times or 10 pages to read each sentence one time?
One thing I would say to foreigners inn states and Canada etc. Do learn good English but don't change your accent too much. I think most people prefer hearing your native accent or at least a touch of it.
she only got a job because shes a girl & companies are desperate to hire females to make their ratio look better than the competition. purely political correctness which turns out to be sexism. unfortunate for the really skilled individuals out there who aren't female
you r simply awsm .. u can't believe I liked watching nd learning from ur videos so much that I forgot to sleep tonight nd watched 5 videos back to back ... now I'm gonna subscribe ur channel .. I'm ur fan now ... u teach in very simply nd friendly manner md specially ur smile :)
I m from india and I want to do job in canada as fashion designer is it possible? I'm so depressed today... Once more I tried to watch an episode of Modern Family without subtitles and didn't get anything...
I already kind of memorized 13 eps, watching with transcriptions once, and then watching 10 more times without it. It sounded natural to me after the second time I listened.
But when it comes to only listen, even dozen of times is not enough...
I've been learning English meanly through reading and listening 1 hour a day, for the last 2 years, and I can speak a little, my pronunciation and accent are ok (actualy often shocking non native speakers), I can get TED videos, you Marina, and every native speaker who talks directly to me, but movies and TV shows... My main goal and dream is to become fluent, but I'm about to give up and spend my time watching dubbed things and playing games, as I used to do before start learning...
What is the freaking secret to improve my listening skills?
Hi Marina! I absolutely love to watch your videos...your accent is so cute. 😘 One question I have for you is: For proving proficiency in English Language while applying for US WFH jobs, which test is better... TOEFL or IELTS ? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!!
University of Waterloo is one of the top engineering schools in the world. Much of Silicon Valley recruits from that school. It's the equivalent in tech as Queens or Richard Ivey is for investment banking or strategy consulting. MS has been recruiting there since its inception. Internships at big tech firms like yelp and airbnb help too. That combination is enough to beat a lot of candidates, in other words she already has a pretty elite background. Most students won't get in. Also, there are plenty of advantages of being Canadian vs being Indian when applying to jobs in the US. We have NAFTA in place which allows Canadians and Mexicans to basically live and work in the US indefinitely on a TN1 visa in certain job categories. It is also much easier to obtain than for other types of visas for citizens of countries outside of North America.
Community pharmacists are the health professionals most accessible to the public. They supply medicines in accordance with a prescription or, when legally permitted, sell them without a prescription. In addition to ensuring an accurate supply of appropriate products, their professional activities also cover counselling of patients at the time of dispensing of prescription and non-prescription drugs, drug information to health professionals, patients and the general public, and participation in health-promotion programmes. They maintain links with other health professionals in primary health care.
