Sitting down with my friend who got a job in Silicon Valley and got her visa sponsored! We talk about helpful websites, how to talk to people and how many resumes she had to send out in order to get an offer!

Hi Linguamarina, nice video, once again.
I also want to thank you because you contributed towards the success I had in my TOEFL test. I applied the recommendations you gave and it worked, especially in reading strategy.
Yeah, I got what you mean! It's all about how to work for some companies! But how about starting your own company! Have you people ever thought about it? I know it's pretty struggle for the first time, but you could tend to it! I mean instead of (it's mine own opinion) looking forward to work for someone else, just try and be that person and make others to work for you!
Some people usually get me wrong! But some people know that I'm actually right! It's not too that easy, but if you just try and train yourself to never give up! I'm 100% sure that you will get whole your dreams and you could live the life that you deserved!
I did an internship in SF for an accounting firm about 3 years ago. Yes it was paid but it was only for 3 months. I was paid 29 per hour which I don't think is enough to live in SF even if it was for a year. Maybe if I did a shit ton of overtime but not at 29. Either way, you could not pay me enough to live in that shit hole. I refused the offer because I did not want to live and work in SF.
I was delighted, because I can understand around 80% of your speech. This feeling was like "Wow, that's amazing, I have something between pre-intermediate and intermediate English level, and I can understand the main meaning". But later I learned that you both are Russian native speakers :-D. You have great pronunciation! I hope, soon I'll understand so good native English speakers too.
I have 16 years developing software no one else can develope THEN i got it stolen by the people i worked for. I want to join a start up that can pay the bills and is something that no one else can do. Example : creating real Artificial intelligence. Anyone need a developer?
Marina if you could add subtitles to ur videos it will be exceptional. As a begginer I can understand about 50% of the content without subtitles but with subtitles the comprehension will increase more and more. Thank you a lot for your good job❤
Marina I worked hard in coding and 2.5 yrs of experience but result is still nill why ???
I am so sad why is this happening to me 😫😫😫😫
Now I am thinking moving to Dubai for job...
No one help me in this world..
This is my big problem too I came to us one and a half year ago I am a junior year high school student, and I want to go to college, but I still not speak English. I don't know how I can fix it because I am so shy to talk in front of people.......
So great to see such intelligent, charming young girls (molodyye devushki) making the best of opportunity and solving problems in the United States. After living several years in Europe, my wife and I have recently moved back to my American homeland. She is so excited and eager to work towards her own American success story. Her first language is Russian so reaching the intermediate English level is a priority for her. Thank you, for your inspirational video.
Hi marina teacher and help pupils define composition as it used in the jest reading than have them check their an glossary asking if anyone using and your chalkboard think is written available choice thanks next time bye
i watched every video of her's without skipping. really both guy motivate me a lot. thank u so much !! she said that her was a backend developer. i have a question on this. for backend developer, which programming language you choosed ?? i am still in dilemma or confused to choose whether frontend or backend. i had various course in udemy site bla bla but can't decide which one is best for real world. some of them said learn this while other said different.
I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley and let me tell you, after about 1 year, it's not that exciting anymore. I feel sad for Russians and Belorussian working here who are only on a Visa, because eventually their visas will not be sponsored anymore (thanks to Donald Trump) and they will be forced to 1) continue searching for work places that will sponsor their visas which will be limited, or 2) go back to their countries and earn very little. That girl Luba is facing tough decisions unless she gets married to an American and gets her permanent residency that way.
hi Marina can you clear my doubt? my age is 13.9 and i like physics but i have a fear that AI(Artificial Intelligence) would be developed in the near future and it will create and discover everything in physics an i will earn nothing. i'm interested in getting money because, i heard about some stuff about immortality and research about it is undertaken by many companies and many hopes that will be gained within this century and i know how much it costs. so i need money . can you please tell me that should i choose physics or AI programming. i love physics for 65% and i like AI programming for 35% and now i'm an expert in AI programming. please tell me your suggestions about my fear about AI that it would over take me and i will earn nothing. I'm from india.
Now, Canada is for "refugees" with a particular religion and ideology and for Chinese to buy out properties. The way things are going and the Canadian administration's refusal to negotiate Nafta, many of the decent paying jobs will move to US, Mexico and Canada can be closer to Mexico in living standard.
Ive learned a lot from you Marina! Working to the international company was a big credit to your career also to your self development. Hoping that to be part on some international company like this since before!
Don't fall for it. Literally no tech companies are like this, and even if you do get a job at one of thr "cool" companies, you still have to deal with bullshit like low pay(for the location), crunching, incompetent bussiness grad bosses. Working in it fucking sucks if you're doing it for the money. Im way happier as a math teacher making 60k a year than a dev making 110k a year. Unless you genuinely enjoy programming, don't try to be a programmer! And even then, 90% of what you'll be doing is debugging, and work that wouldn'y even need to be done if your boss had even half a brain. Fucking capitalism on its A game.
