For the bite animation, it should be like, he licks his lips, but when he takes the bite, it should be normal at first, then his eyes are like 0_0 then he should shake his head and have his eyes closed.
What is so weird is that when some new artists started animating and draw secondary actions, they have NO idea what the 12 principles are and just show them as charactersshowing obvious signs of emotion, suspense, or empathy.
I guess the more you do art and animation with common sense, the more it applies to the rules new comers don't even know they're following or existed xD
Is there a single animated series out today that doesn't fail these 12 principles? Other than Ghibli movies? I enjoy Steven Universe for the stories, but even their animation can get too choppy, mechanical, lifeless sometimes.
I absolutely love this series of videos... I've been watching and rewatching 1-7, so I'm glad that #8 is now complete! I'm already excited to see 9-12! Thank you so much for making this series! It's helping me to become a better animator, as I'm sure it is for others as well! :D xD
