Thank you a lot! It is a lot of things, and I have subscribed to this channel! Although I strongly agree with the comment about using term "America" as US is only 1 country of the 2 in only North America and, which you may forget as you live far in Russia and always use the word 'america' in your speaking about "US". I live in North America, but my absolute love is, of course, actually, South America! Go and see it yourself. I've subscribed anyway, learn more about Americas and thanks for the fun!
In America the legal drinking age is 21 because it is believed that you’re brain isn’t fully developed until your mid twenties, so there are restrictions on the age you can drink. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
Im japanese and I think most of us would freak out if we know that they have to pay extra charge in Russia.
I thought It was natural that we could continue to refill untill we feel satisfied.
So it happens in japan to order juice and then ask for " water" many times.
you all know why you are required to take your shoes off right? it's not that weird when you find out that some dude in Britain tried to detonate a device on an airplane hidden in his shoe. I think there was also an underwear bomber so thats when the whole groping thing blew up and everybody was complaining. it's not weird, it's safety.
Enjoy your channel. FYI, the drinking age of 21 in every state didn’t used to be this way. It started during the presidency of Ronald Reagan. They can’t constitutionally force the states to adopt a particular age, but they can bribe them. So if states want to receive federal highway matching grants, they had to have a drinking age of 21.
When I was in high school age was 18.
most Americans start drinking in jr. high at least when I grew up, you just get someone to buy for you, and don't be an idiot with it...expecially around cops. It is cool to see you guys move to America and figure out whats going on. heck I didn't know you can by pass airport security for 85 bucks.
In Kazakhstan there is the same weird thing that you have to be 21 to buy alcohol.
And about taking shoes off at the airport - I had the same story when I traveled from Germany; everyone, whose shoes have high heels (even 2 cm), has to take it off.
Hi Marina. I love your videos. I subscribed right away. I watched quite a few of them. Anyways, I just recently started my channel where I’m teaching more advanced and higher English Vocabularies to have in your arsenal. Ik it’s weird coming from someone you don’t know other than share your passion for teaching English to English non speakers. I’d love to do a collaboration with you for I believe would be beneficial to us both. Email me if interested : (email@example.com)
Creditcards are the bane of the American economy. By not paying directly the citizens of this country has run up a total debt of momentous proportions. Small wonder the national one is the quintillion dollars.
I must admit I really like the way you talk and behave. You are polite, cultural and natural. Watching some american reality shows, yt channels and series and knowing some Americans Im loosing my faith that free of stupid jokes, arrogance and 'pretending to be funny' language and behaviour can still exist. You prove they can! Congratulations! :))))
6:48 Is TSA pre a card? From you I got to know about TSA pre, can anyone apply for it? As I will go to USA from Bangladesh in August for higher study, so I became excited after knowing about TSA. Though I checked the website of TSA pre, but I couldn't understand everything properly ...
Alcohol consumption in China is increasing faster than in other parts of the world according to the World Health Organization. Alcoholism and alcohol consumption in Russia is well known. Yet our age requirement for alcohol is something you find weird. Wow. A look back at U.S. history will reveal how, in part, the prohibition era shaped our thinking about alcohol.

Marina can you write "... IN THE US" or something like that next time?
I know it may sound stupid but there is people from Latin America that gets bothered when someone says "America" when refering only to the USA
1- I know (go and see number 3)
2- Yeah, that's true too
3- Yeah, their country is called United States of Mexico and they call themselves "mexicans", or "mexicanos" in spanish, *but* the difference is that there is no other place that qualifies as México. If you try to apply this on the USA it is wrong, 'cause Canada and latin america are still America
4- That only proves that we've been doing it wrong since some time ago :P
5- Yeah your country has no real name
They r both right: and probably both wrong. Keep an open mind here. Marina more research from your staff, please, when commenting.
We just abbreviate names.
1- United States of "America"
2- the "American" Continent. It is incorrect to say that there is a North and South American continent.
3-United States of "Mexico"-
We just shorten the names.
4- a long time ago: The USSR(the Union of Socialist "Soviet" Republics" or URSS or Rusia or The Soviet Union, the Soviets etc.
5-.Many of our patriotic songs, such as "God Bless America," and "America the Beautiful" refer to the United States of America and not to North America, Central or South America. They just abbreviate the official Name. Welcome to "America", when going thru customs, does not mean welcome to the American Continent. That would be considered incorrect,....
Marina, I have to get more than 100 in Toefl to get offer this year and i have failed two times, every time when i am going to give up to learn english I will come to watch your video. You give me strength .Thank you so much .
Great video, guys! But I'm still cofused with the use of credit cards in the US. Why did Venya say that you're like a ghost if you don't own a credit card in the USA.
Let's assume I am a tourist and I just arrived in the States with just a debit card of the Russian bank. Am I eligible to rent a car/buy gasoline or clothes/get an uber with my debit card? An overdraft is not allowed on this card, in fact the bank actually pays me interests on my balance which is always non negative. That is why this is smart and convinient to have debit card instead of having just cash. But what is the case in the US? Is there a such thing like debit card at all? And why, if I am citizen let's say, do I have to have a credit card? Isn't that a situation when you always end up paying more because of the interests and stuff? Could smb pls explain me how this system works in the States??
Community pharmacists are the health professionals most accessible to the public. They supply medicines in accordance with a prescription or, when legally permitted, sell them without a prescription. In addition to ensuring an accurate supply of appropriate products, their professional activities also cover counselling of patients at the time of dispensing of prescription and non-prescription drugs, drug information to health professionals, patients and the general public, and participation in health-promotion programmes. They maintain links with other health professionals in primary health care.
