Healthy and active Barbie Diaz suffered a stroke at age 18 while driving on Gainesville's Archer Road, causing her to hit a car. Diaz was immediately in the care of the UF Stroke Program team and physicians within UF's neurosciences who diagnosed Diaz with a rare disease called Takayasu's arteritis. She is healthy at age 20.

I'm 25, in November last year I also had a stroke caused by my heart condition. Went back to the neurologist today and he says my MRI shows white matter.. I will need heart surgery soon. Thank you for inspiring me.

In addition to ensuring an accurate supply of appropriate products, their professional activities also cover counselling of patients at the time of dispensing of prescription and non-prescription drugs, drug information to health professionals, patients and the general public, and participation in health-promotion programmes. They maintain links with other health professionals in primary health care.
