My question is "Is there something smaller than an atom?" My father said there is something smaller than an atom. So it means an atom is the smallest thing in the world. Something smaller than an atom is the protons, electrons, and neutrons. And also "What are the protons, electrons, and neutrons made of?" There is a particle that is smaller than those three parts of an atom. Do scientists know what's smaller than those three?
When will people finally stop saying atoms (or neutrons/protons) are elementary particles?

Yes 4: 27 i am curious to know , think whole Empty space in Atom and Nucleus is much more then that , thats why singularity of whole universe was extremely small before the big bang !!! But it is Extremely Hard to Think or Imagine that , if all atoms in universe compressed and without any empty space between it even in Nucleus of it , then this hole universe can may be fit in a size about atoms ' singularity ' !!!!!!! It seems true because of singularity of super dense . So can you arrange the electrons / neuons / atom core to change an atom into something else so you can like suck in carbon dioxide and arrange it into oxygen which can replace plants , right ? If that is the case , i will be the one who make it and build up an entire city with shit and crap
In theory you can, it's just that the magnetic fields of the nuclei extends quite far, so a chunk of the empty space still isn't passable by another nucleus. And given how small atoms are, when trying to pass another object the nuclei's magnetic fields are going to repel each other quite frequently, effectively preventing an object from passing through another. But yes, in theory, with enough luck, and object should be able to pass through another one.
if Atoms are all essentially identical, why do our bodies need to replace them constantly? Surely, our bodies are replacing whole MOLECULES and/or even larger and more complex structures like proteins, not individual atoms. Do individual atoms have some sort of "fuel" that runs out, do they just go bad after a while? Surely not. So the concept of our body replacing ATOMS makes no sense. People should talk about it in terms of the more complex structures that are surely whats being replaced
