Dr Fuhrman talks about restaurants cooking in the same oil for hours. He may not know that in some fast food restaurants (I worked at Mc’Donalds) they cook in the same oil for months and months.

Veganism is the worse diet to people and environment. I was a vegan for almost 20 years.. No society existed before on plant foods only. They religious zealots trolling social media with death threats. They look terrible unhealthy.. Give yourselves a favour, read The Vegetarian Myth.

In my own opinion seems like if the food don't have some kind of a fake flavor to it people just don't want to eat it you know they just don't like Plain Jane like me

I was addicted to food since I can remember in my early childhood, I'm now 22 and free for the first time from my food addiction (eating every two hours, eating when not hungry, dreading feeling hungry, eating huge portions, stomach issues) I have tried everything, calorie counting and such but my brain would never stop asking for more food. Now I stop when my stomach is full (and not when it's about to explode) and hunger isn't something that bothers me. The temptation is all around but being free from addiction is one of the best things that happened to me in the last 10years. I finally feel like I'm a normal human being.

😬 I like the shark joke. 👍🏼 I think “Skipper” discovered a shipping container of Mars Bars on the other side of the island. Animal products not only shorten lifespan, but quality of life is a misery for much of the duration. Greens Beans Onions Berries I wonder if Dr. Furman has discussed impact of current Economics thinking with Professor Michael Hudson of the University of Arizona and Peking University too, I think.

Joel “so the point I’m making here is” Fuhrman. I love it tho haha he’s so charismatic.

I like a lot things Dr. Fuhrman presents. I find his research interesting, too, but I also find it limiting. For one thing, I am allergic to everything in the legume family, and I wonder about the research when people with allergies and food sensitivities are eliminated from the start. I mean, yes, they might find that people who eat Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries, and Seeds do better than the national average, but this might be preselecting people who are healthier from the start vs. showing what the effects of diet are.

“What we leave behind—our legacy—is how we affected others. And for most of us, no other choice has a greater impact on the legacy of help— or harm— we leave behind, than our daily food choices. Day after day, and year after year, our lives can be seen as the culmination of thousands of instances in which, equally assured of nourishment and health, we had the opportunity to choose kindness and mercy toward other animals, or to choose violence and death for them. For billions of people, the question of eating animals really comes down to this basic question: am I someone who, when able to freely choose, would rather harm animals, or help them? When able to choose, do I choose kindness over violence, or violence over kindness? Our answer is our legacy.”

one day he will realize that the very food he promotes (beans) r the reason for his constantly inflammed eyes but where is the studyyyyyyy? ;P they make me have red slimey eyes too
ponynose (2 месяца назад)
Maybe he is stoned
sooooooooDark (2 месяца назад)
yes but this is another kind of inflammation its "dehydrational inflammation" its cause is strange everytime i eat food that "initially was considered dry (prior to cooking)" i get it too my explanation is: when the stuff chills in the colon my colon instead of absorbing water from it gives was to these foods to have an equilibrium going on, and in the process u get dehydrated if u asked the guy if he got "really slimey hard to open eyes" in the morning im so sure he would say yes its also methionine and cystine related i think, cuz it gets stronger if i eat more protein
Little Horn (2 месяца назад)
Every study done on beans and legumes show that they reduce inflammatory markers

<3 Thank you for all you do! My 9 year old has stated that the wrong food makes people 'angry' ... what an important point! Truly informed people, healthier, more productive, growing according to their potential - what world and society we would/will have! Rise, people, rise! <3

THATS SUCH A GREAT POINT!! Smoking can make you lose weight very quickly because nicotine suppresses appetite and can even lower insulin! DOESNT MEAN IT'S HEALTHY Say with low carb diets, they cause higher mortality but suppress your appetite and make you lose weight short term

Most processed food is full of chemicals and the body responds by bloating up cells to dilute the poisons. Eat clean raw food.
TSO Center (2 месяца назад)
The problem is the assumption that a healthier population is better for the economy. With privatized health care such as we have in the U.S., the more sick people there are, and the more procedures and drugs they need, the more profitable it is for health providers and big pharma. Similarly, the more addiction to fast food there is, the better it is for the fast food industry. With such incentives, it is no surprise that preventative health and nutrition are not widely promoted.
tillallareoneluv (2 месяца назад)
It is wasteful. Having people fix things that should not need to be fixed is wasteful and counterproductive to the quality of life of a society.

One easy rule is to not eat (or reduce) 0 fiber foods like animal products and refined substances. All animal products have 0 fiber and if reducing or eliminating animal products, should take b12 supplement. 0 fiber in refined substances like oil, sweeteners, juice, refined flour, protein powder, salt, supplements, etc. Tofu often has 0 fiber so better and cheaper to eat unrefined beans. Supplements are also not real foods and are often overpriced so should keep supplements to a minimum.

After the post war famine years and post war poverty years, seniors in okinawa have already increased their protein intake via more seafood and pork. I heard seniors need more protein than younger people.
colonyofcells iamamachine (2 месяца назад)
Dr Michael Greger does not seem to care about ratio of carb, fat and protein as long as you avoid refined substances like oil, sweeteners, juice, refined flour, protein powder, salt, etc. Based on traditional diets, possible to use high fat foods like nuts, seeds, fresh coconuts and durian as staple foods.
sooooooooDark (2 месяца назад)
longevity yes they lower igf-1 thats why they increase longevity they stretch ur life life thinner "like too little butter on to much bread" as bilbo from lord of the rings would say it ;p longevity =/= quality of life u r much more happy with unfucked igf-1 levels and proper amount of hormones from eating more fat than what msot vegan gurus suggest look at dr greger - hes protein and (much more so:) fat deficient his testosterone is way too low, his bones r probably weak af and could crack at any moment rda for fat is >20 <35% for a 100 years or so FOR A REASON.....no fat = no hormones.... test it urself - increase fat and see how ur hormones change...ur face starts looking more masculine and u get horny af i know vegans hate protein and fat but all macros r important im very certain the okinawans with their 4% fat intake were semi-infertile (as in "they could have sex and cum but it wouldnt feel as awesome because no hormonerinos")

+Allen Miller I dont think he recommends it. I think he tolerates it. I think it's more like guidelines for those that refuse to stop.
Full Spectrum - Healthy Living Secrets (2 месяца назад)
@Allen Miller Good for you!! Animal products aren't really part of his GBOMB plan... he just says that a very small amt. is okay, as long as the person eats the healthy diet he promotes. I believe this is a better approach because then people don't feel as if they have to be 100% compliant, which most people just can't do. To me, this will encourage more people to eat a healthy diet because they don't have to be perfect. Dr. Fuhrman is awesome!
sooooooooDark (2 месяца назад)
u r not everyone i cant digest legumes whatsoever major bloating look at the failed vegans on sv3rige's channel recently there was some 16 year raw vegan lady that now eats animal products again for some veganism just "works" and they dont have to think about pretty much anything...others tho (like me) cant digest anything with white starch in it (UTIs from hell)...and i get some weird muscle tremors/weakness from pasta (that last really long....like 3 weeks or so)...but i dont bleed or something from gluten...it just shreds my small intestines or something :p yea humans r weird animals
TwoSnakes OneSword (2 месяца назад)
+sooooooooDark you're joking right? Beans, tofu, soymilk, oranges, peanut butter, cooked broccoli, cooked potatoes, avocados, and many more all have choline. If you eat enough you are fine! Been vegan 17yrs and have never had a nurtritional deficiency... neither have my kids(youngest 16yo) never had cronometer to tell me what to eat lol.
