Great stuff as usual...Donated as well. When is the next video? Don't let sensible stuff like your day job get in the way. :)
Road and Race (2 месяца назад)
Big thanks Marc. Really appreciate the donation. Gary and I are filming with the Clio on the 4th of June so should have the episode up shortly after. I’m moving house next week but I might have a quick vlog up in the mean time.

Where did you get the trackrod removal tool, can't see it on your site?
Road and Race (3 месяца назад)
Amazon. There's a link in the comments.

I was always informed, when replacing suspension components, always do them in pairs. Both control arms, both tie rods, both struts etc.

Zombie Head we did replace both sides ;)

Hello! I just want to say thank you so much! I love this serie! It's incredible how you teach us about performance and mantaining of the car! I have a clio 2 1.6 pretty slower but it's something haha. I recommended this channel to my friends :)! Thank you so much for your interesting videos! Greetings from Chile :)! And I'm sorry if my english isn't perfect haha

Where did you get that tool from!!!?? Didn't know they existed, better than trying to get a spanner in edgeways!

Surprisingly, Amazon!

Put 2 buckeat seats in it and you'll save ~17kg/side !

Love the pulp fiction joke! 👍🏻

Wow, you really did binge them! Well done! 👍🏻

Hi, Are the Yato Flare Wrench / Spanners on your tool recommendation website the same ones you actually use in your videos? Just about to order a set of flare spanners and they have some negative reviews but they are the cheapest 6 point set on Amazon! Thanks.
Jimmy (3 месяца назад)
Road and Race Thanks. Ordered the Yato using your link. Got some snap on impact sockets - really solid tools - but can't justify the expense for something I'll only use every couple years for a brake fluid change.
Road and Race (3 месяца назад)
I have the Yato and the more expensive Snap-on spanners. The Yato is fine for the money.

Another great little video. Where did you get your tie rods from? Think I will change mine too. Has a slight pull to the left and alignment is spot on.
Road and Race (3 месяца назад)
Thanks Calum. I got them from Renault Parts Direct.

the pulp fiction reference alone made the video worth watching. The rest is great too.

Thanks mate. Glad you noticed the reference!

Always good fun making these videos Neil 👍🏼

Love watching all the progress! Inspired me to get my own hot hatch track weapon. 😀
Colin Rickard (3 месяца назад)
Road and Race ifthere were more light hot hatch options in the states under 5k(us) it might've been a different car. The looks had something to do with the purchase though...😜
Road and Race (3 месяца назад)
Interesting choice!

Road and Race a VW Corrado of all things. Gone through a bunch of suspension and exhaust bits. Just rotors and tire upgrades to go!
Road and Race (3 месяца назад)
Excellent news. What you thinking of buying?
John Byrne (3 месяца назад)
I'd buy new locking nuts for the tie rod ends if I were you. If you can thread them all the way by hand like that, they're not locking.
Conan Roundstone (3 месяца назад)
Any links to where I can get one of those tools?
Conan Roundstone (3 месяца назад)
👍thanks mate

I got it from Amazon. SATRA S-B4SR 4PC Steering Rack Knuckle Tie Rod End Axial Joint Removal Tool https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0172HBE80?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

That's an epic result! I second the suggestions of a remap and Redex to see if it can crack 6 seconds....

You should try getting the engine a wash inside I did this today and it made such a difference the throttle response was so much better and the power came on so much smoother I you know a local additive center then I think they can do that for you
Toon _85 (3 месяца назад)
Another class video, great to see a bit of humour with the out-takes too. Are you planning on timing each other at the next track day for a head to head comparison? Neil you've got a bit of speed to find 😉
D Wray's Garage (3 месяца назад)
Nice work fellas! Did you check the tie rod/end on the driver's side too - could that be causing the alignment to still be a hair off?
Mansfield (2 месяца назад)
D Wray's Garage rotate the track rod ends by 1 revolution on each side in the same direction to pull the steering wheel straight.

This proves that weight reduction plays big role on 0-100 time! :) amazing with remap it would be less than 6 sec
michael murphy (3 месяца назад)
Great video as usual, what app did you use for the 0-60 times? Also any plans for a remap?

like the series guys. I was looking at getting a 182 with cup packs but I had a 172 cup from new and it was really unreliable. 😠

Congratulations guys, great shift in the 0-60 time! Impressive! The steering rods were really worn out, I would have expected even some noises on b-roads (I think that's how you call it) . As always, great fun to watch and really interesting! Greetings from Bavaria

Check out the Ultra racing braces For the Clio. Reasonably priced and good quality. Just copy the parts number onto google. I have some on my R53 and Love them. http://ultraracing.my/ecatalog/index.php/product-category/renault/renault-clio/
Ethan Commins (3 месяца назад)
They are from Malaysia but actually good quality. The only thing that suck is the Hardware that comes with them (If the bar even needs separate hardware) They have serial numbers and a lifetime warranty if you activate it on their website.

They look ace!
