A milium (single for milia) is a small superficial cyst formed in the top layer of the skin called the epidermis. They appear as tiny, pearly-white bumps just under the surface of the skin. They contain keratin (skin protein) and are harmless. They are often seen on the face, in particular on the delicate skin around the eyes. They can be prevented or minimized with exfoliating like chemical peels, microdermabrasion or topical retinoids. However, they are sometimes difficult to remove without a physician’s help, since they cannot simply be squeezed out. Often, the surface of the skin has to be pierced first with a lancet, a sharp pointed blade, or a needle, in order to successfully remove the milium. Often a comedone extractor is used to express the milium.

I too have a milia right up next to my eye, only on the outer edge of the eye. I actually just 2 months ago got a bunch of these all at once. They look awful and I myself need the one on my eye to be removed, but,..I'm scared😲
I though that I was the only person who could have that too close an eye. I got something similar and I had it around 4 or 5 years and one day when I look at it there was a hole so I squished it . Now I'm so glad to wear my make up without that horrible thing on my eye.
I have the same thing on my upper lipline. One time my dad (who is a nurse) cut it open with a scalpel without numbing it first and a tiny pearlescent ball came out. It hurt super bad but was really satisfying. It came back after a month though and I still have yet to remove it again
