You the man, Myke! Does PDR work on dents that have been on panels of the car for years?

PlanetoftheeAtheists 2 years ago  Thanks guys. I have been painting cars for over 20 years and am pretty much burnt out, especially after seeing our local pdr tech come into our shop and make as much money in an hour as I do all day:(. Gonna work my ass off learning how to do this and see how it goes I can`t believe it. Somebody doing the cars +20yr and he learn his job on uoutube.  "PDR" guy has to make  as much money in an hour as you do all year.. After +20yr you should do much better than you see on video.

Can this be done on a car with dent that has a crease in it? That is also almost 3 years old?
MrMagee78 (4 года назад)

MrMagee78 (4 года назад)
@denttime I have been doing auto body and paint for 14 years. what is the best way to get into this? Just sighn a contract with dent wizard , or pay out of pocket to go to school?
GoldenSunz22 (5 лет назад)
why do you guys complain? hes showing you stuff that you pay to learn. if you have a problem with this stuff go sign a contract with Dent Wizard

I will have fun learning how to do this on my own truck here in S TN. And mo more paying $70-80 /dent. Some idiots think they can charge $200-400 for a couple of simple, shallow dents, almost more than a beginners PDR kit costs, and for that I might just put them morons out of business :D Pax Vobiscum - Sir Carl's Evil Twin..
Carl Borsing BorsingStudios_com how'd your truck turn out since then?

I was wondering the same thing. You would always make one. You would just have to make sure your lines were straight as possible. If not it could throw you off. I suggest buying one.
PeroyT (5 лет назад)
My dad has been doing this for a long time. And I'm finally committed to learning. Good lesson.

I've been watching a lot of your vids the last couple days, and learnedalot.Great Videos.I've been building cars and doing bodywork as a hobby for years, and now am going to try pdr to tackle all my recent hail damage.I'm sorta confused by this video though.Am I correct in that there was no dent on your first sweep after he circled it?I didn't see any deflection before he started with the tool tip. Thanks again for great tips!Congrats on your new baby! My youngest is 19,lol

Just became a metal finisher for nissan in smyrna tn, i love doing this daily, the skill invovled, makes you feel proud to be able to this stuff :) Although you havent seen difficult until you are trying to do this without that light, going down a converyor line and only having around 55 seconds to push the dent out, file it and the sand it ;)

First, I apologize if I did not respond. It's been a crazy week. My wife and I have been in the hospital and still are having our third child. My time is limited at the moment but expect to catch up on my emails soon as possible. Please email me again as it's not my intention not to reply back. Thank you.

Nice Job-You are Jedi Dent Master
@TTBlackOPS I hear a little insecurity in your voice. Bad ass pdr techs I know (especially ones "that used" to work for Dent Wizard) are humble and don't throw titles around. As I mentioned before, experienced "real" pdr techs know it's not about the reflection, it's how well you understand it. Oh and by the way, in about another ten years maybe you can graduate to a "Jedi Dent Master" like me. :) Good luck bro and best wishes.
midnightstorm7 (9 лет назад)
From what I understand in pdr, finding the tip of your tool behind the dent takes a lot of practice. Draging your tool through the lines really helps you pinpoint it. Thanks for the tip Myke and David!
Thanks Jeff.
