War, Media Propaganda and the Police State - Prof. James F. Tracy

Modern propaganda techniques utilized by the corporate state to enforce anti-democratic and destructive policies routinely entail the manufacture and manipulation of news events to mold public opinion and, as Edward Bernays put it, “engineer consent” toward certain ends. Such events include not only overt political appeals, but also acts of seemingly spontaneous terrorism and militarism that traumatize the body politic into ultimately accepting false narratives as political and historical realities... I wish you all the best in your efforts to regain your position that should never have been taken away from you. These cowards and pretenders that call themselves leaders need to do jail time for going along with all these fake wars, and hoax scams and shootings. People were calling out Sandy Hook the day after it happened. I'm a teacher and my high school kids came to school the next day showing me how the facebook pages, and fundraising page caches were dated before the event even happened. May God Bless people like Professor Tracy, Wolfgang Halbig, Professor James Fetzer and all the many others who have been harrassed, sued, had their jobs threatened, and suffered greatly trying to bring the truth to the American people. I believe the truth will prevail.

Pearl Harbor provoked? The Japanese grazed pearl harbor if your not a idiot then you will know it was only a diversion for their attacks and invasion of the south china sea during the attack on Pearl Harbor. If the Japanese wanted Pearl Harbor at that time they could have had it with their 10 aircraft carriers and 100's of thousands of troop.  Their mistake but Pearl Harbor was a diversion nothing more.

Pearl Harbor was provoked by the US blockade cutting off oil to the island nation that had been preceded by years of encroachment on other Asian nations. The blockade constituted an act of war. The US had broken the Japanese code and knew the attack was in the works, and spent years lying that it was a treacherous "surprise" attack without ever acknowledging US treachery and foreknowledge. The newer ships were safe elsewhere, while the men on board the older ships already scheduled were deliberately left vulnerable, in order to have "useful" public outrage and a "backdoor" into WW II, overcoming the isolationist mood that prevailed.

'All Wars are Bankers Wars!' Throughout the century that I examined, which began with the Panic of 1907 … what I found by accessing the archives of each president is that through many events and periods, particular bankers were in constant communication [with the White House] — not just about financial and economic policy, and by extension trade policy, but also about aspects of World War I, or World War II, or the Cold War, in terms of the expansion that America was undergoing as a superpower in the world, politically, buoyed by the financial expansion of the banking community. http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/04/wars-bankers-wars.html

9/11 FACT: THE PENTAGON WAS HIT BY A CRUISE MISSILE FROM THE US MILITARY ARSENAL by Michael Thomas   The American People Must Act … Sooner Or Later! The Whole World Has Waited For 13 Years For 9/11 Truth And Justice. Nations Everywhere Plead With The US Citizenry To Take Back Their Country. Why? Because the very same people who are responsible for the 9/11 terror attacks continue to conduct false flag operations across the planet, starting new wars and bringing armed conflicts to once peaceful lands. The shadow government controlling the USA has used the pretext of 9/11 to wage wars wherever they are in competition for resources, especially oil and gas reserves, oil and gas conduits, oil refineries and sea ports. The same unelected criminal cabal routinely uses the overwhelming US military capability to shock and awe any defenseless nation which presents an attractive geopolitical advantage.  Likewise, they invade countries at will that disobey their orders or attempt to go their own way. http://www.storyleak.com/911-fact-the-pentagon-was-hit-by-a-cruise-missile-from-the-us-military-arsenal/

I'm enjoying the video very much, but what I find a bit odd is that he never looks directly into the camera, instead looking off to the left?  That would be fine if there was a conversation there, but this is a monologue. I dunno, just odd. He should have looked into the camera and spoke. And you know the old saying, e.g. if they can't look at you when they talk something's up.
Deschutes Maple (3 года назад)
+fraserp69 Yes that's quite obvious but unless he's being interviewed by the person behind the camera it comes across as an odd monologue.

We now have a Gov't of Wolves.
IslandGirl 9152 (1 год назад)
Please don't insult the wolves. They are satanic occultist demons. And many of them are going to prison. It's only a matter of time. Fake news my ass. That's the new "conspiracy theorist" mantra. If people only knew how many events they still think are real that aren't it would blow their minds so badly they'd probably have to get professional help. Never trust anything the government or the media tells you. And when you see a situation like 23 countries passing laws that to criticize Israel is a crime, well that tells you who really runs that country.

And it has the benefit for plutocrats of disposing of threats to them. On a related note, it is said of a Mexican warlord Presidente that he eliminated theft by putting all the thieves in his army.

"Yellow Journalism"! If recalling correctly, James Corbett recently published a video in which he, inherently, spoke of US "yellow" journalism used for war propaganda of lies to try to deceive the population in the US into supporting wars.  It was very much as stated in this video, but neither of them speak of the Hearst origin of this "yellow" journalism and I wonder why, after having read years ago that Hearst was the or one of the earliest producers of such lies and, in his historical case, it was for the US war on Mexico.  It's something I read about several years ago and it's surprising that it's in neither of these videos. Unfortunately, I'm not finding the corbettreport video, but maybe it was a GRTV video that James Corbett hosted.  It was very recent though, surely September 2014, or, maybe August.

+recynd77 I did a little searching about "yellow" journalism and Hearst's practice of this to try to verify this information and it seems that he wasn't the originator.  He was, however, a practitioner and perhaps the following information will be helpful to you. Regarding the US war on Mexico though, he might not have had anything to do with yellow journalism in this regard.  It seems that he did with respect to the Spanish-American War and not the US one on Mexico at the behest, say, of Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil and who wanted to oust the British company that had a consortium in Mexico for oil exploitation, if I recall that part correctly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_journalism Quote: ... Yellow journalism, or the yellow press, is a type of journalism that presents little or no legitimate well-researched news and instead uses eye-catching headlines to sell more newspapers.[1]  Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism.[1]  By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.[2] ... Origins: Pulitzer vs. Hearst The term originated during the American Gilded Age of the late nineteenth century with the circulation battles between Joseph Pulitzer's New York World and William Randolph Hearst's New York Journal.  The battle peaked from 1895 to about 1898, and historical usage often refers specifically to this period.  Both papers were accused by critics of sensationalizing the news in order to drive up circulation, although the newspapers did serious reporting as well. The term was coined by Erwin Wardman, the editor of the New York Press.  Wardman was the first to publish the term but there is evidence that expressions such as "yellow journalism" and "school of yellow kid journalism" were already used by newsmen of that time.  ... ... End quote https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Randolph_Hearst Quote: ... William Randolph Hearst (/ˈhɜrst/;[1] April 29, 1863 – August 14, 1951) was an American newspaper publisher who built the nation's largest newspaper chain and whose methods profoundly influenced American journalism.[2] Hearst entered the publishing business in 1887 after taking control of _The San Francisco Examiner_ from his father. Moving to New York City, he acquired _The New York Journal_ and engaged in a bitter circulation war with Joseph Pulitzer's _New York World_ that led to the creation of yellow journalism — sensationalized stories of dubious veracity.  ... ... _New York Morning Journal_ ... Yellow Journalism and rivalry with the New York World The _New York Journal_ and its chief rival, the _New York World_, mastered a style of popular journalism that came to be derided as "Yellow Journalism," after Outcault's Yellow Kid comic.  Pulitzer's _World_ had pushed the boundaries of mass appeal for newspapers through bold headlines, ....  ... Within a few months of purchasing the _Journal_, Hearst would hire away Pulitzer's three top editors:  ....  ... While Hearst's many critics attribute the Journal's incredible success to cheap sensationalism, as Kenneth Whyte noted in _The Uncrowned King: The Sensational Rise Of William Randolph Hearst_, "The _Journal_ was a demanding, sophisticated paper by contemporary standards.  ...."[15]  Though yellow journalism would be much maligned, "All good yellow journalists...sought the human in every story and edited without fear of emotion or drama.  ..."  But, as Whyte pointed out, "This appeal to feelings is not an end in itself...[they believed] our emotions tend to ignite our intellects:  a story catering to a reader's feelings is more likely than a dry treatise to stimulate thought."[16] The two papers would finally declare a truce in late 1898, after both papers lost vast amounts of money covering the Spanish-American War.  ... Politics ... The Spanish-American War The _Morning Journal's_ daily circulation would routinely climb above the 1 million mark after the sinking of the Maine and U.S. entry into the Spanish-American War, a war that some dubbed, "The _Journal's_ War" due to the paper's immense influence in provoking American outrage against Spain.[26]  Much of the coverage leading up to the war, beginning with the outbreak of the Cuban Revolution in 1895, was tainted by rumor, propaganda, and sensationalism, with the "yellow" papers regarded as the worst offenders.  Indeed, the _Journal_ and other New York newspapers were so one-sided and full of errors in their reporting that coverage of the Cuban crisis and the ensuing Spanish-American War is often cited as one of the most significant milestones in the rise of yellow journalism's hold over the mainstream media.[27]  Huge headlines in the _Journal_ assigned blame for the Maine's destruction on sabotage – based on no actual evidence – and stoked public outrage and indignation against Spain.  ... Nevertheless, the _Journal's_ crusade against Spanish rule in Cuba was not due to mere jingoism, although ....  ... Hearst was personally dedicated to the cause of the Cuban rebels, and the _Journal_ did some of the most important and courageous reporting on the conflict – as well as some of the most sensationalized.  ... While Hearst and the yellow press did not directly cause America's war with Spain, they did inflame public opinion to a fever pitch, which was a major influence in Pres. McKinley's decision to use force against Spain.  Furthermore, congressmen and other public officials of the time received most of their information from newspapers, and the _Journal_, the _World_, and the more respectable _New York Herald_ had by far the most informative, extensive, and influential coverage. ... Criticism As Martin Lee and Norman Solomon noted in their 1990 book _Unreliable Sources_, Hearst "routinely invented sensational stories, faked interviews, ran phony pictures and distorted real events."  This approach came to be known as "yellow journalism," so named after The Yellow Kid, a character in the _New York World's_ color comic strip Hogan's Alley. Hearst's use of yellow journalism techniques in his _New York Journal_ to whip up popular support for U.S. military adventurism in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines in 1898 was also criticized in Upton Sinclair's 1919 book, _The Brass Check: A Study of American Journalism_.   According to Sinclair, Hearst's newspaper employees were "willing by deliberate and shameful lies, made out of whole cloth, to stir nations to enmity and drive them to murderous war."  Sinclair also asserted that in the early 20th century Hearst's newspapers lied "remorselessly about radicals," excluded "the word Socialist from their columns" and obeyed "a standing order in all Hearst offices that American Socialism shall never be mentioned favorably."  In addition, Sinclair charged that Hearst's "Universal News Bureau" re-wrote the news of the London morning papers in the Hearst office in New York and then fraudulently sent it out to American afternoon newspapers under the by-lines of imaginary names of non-existent "Hearst correspondents" in London, Paris, Venice, Rome, Berlin, etc.  Another critic, Ferdinand Lundberg, extended the criticism in _Imperial Hearst_ (1936), charging that Hearst papers accepted payments from abroad to slant the news.  After the war, a further critic, George Seldes, repeated the charges in _Facts and Fascism_ (1947).  Also, biographer A. Scott Berg notes that in the late 1920s Charles Lindbergh refused Hearst's very generous offer to sponsor him in a motion-picture career, in part because the famous aviator had little respect for the content and tone of Hearst's publications.[48] Although he frequently lambasted magnates such as J.P. Morgan and the Vanderbilts in public, in private Hearst entered into partnership with them in lucrative ventures such as the Cerro de Pasco mines in Peru.[41] ... End quote

Great comment.  I don't know if it's true about Hearst being behind "yellow journalism", but I'll be doing some digging about this on my own.  Good insight!
