I agree with waving some of the diagnostic time but giving up all of it never has set right. How about you keep .5 even when the customer buys the work? Hey not to get off topic, ever work on the BMW 850 coupe (car came with the V-12 and electrically heated catalytic converters) I have worked on one in my life, and it kicked my behind. It was a car we sold, I did the check out so it came to me. What it was, the new owner went to get the car smogged and it was an HC failure. HC failures are the easiest emission failure to get right. You may ask why I did not sniff the car during the check out and I say,"we did not have any type of gas analyzer, and this was a very big Audi,Porsche, SAAB,VW, BMW Dealer. In fact I have not seen a 2 gas analyzer in a shop since 1986.
Yeah, you were talking about how companies use pretty girls to sell things. The automotive industry is the worst with this. I have been selling to the automotive service and parts industry for 30 years, and I CONSTANTLY have to compete with a pretty face. Luckily my expertise and ability to bond better with my customers wins out by the end of the day.
Stumbled on to your videos looking for something else and they put a smile on my face to see your life experiences of a day ..I loved your suttle comment of those girls only wanted water and not your money or soul.. lol keep up the good work.
You should see some of the shit people give private shops, $110 for a day isn't bad considering you'll have someone bring something some other shop turned down after they dug into or it's in pieces because the person didn't want to pay what the other shop was charging/ selling them on. You see some fucked up shit from time to time.
I'm not a content creator, congratulations on figuring that out. NOT
THE TOPIC. Try to focus on the vid title and don't wander too far away
with irrelevant discussion. This seems like it should be mostly a
technical channel, mostly. If you want to create VLOG vids, then do
The Mechanic OC what i mean is what's the income (money) in a year for a auto mechanic owner like you? I know it depends where your at but I would like to know ( sorry that the other comment didn't make sense.
Went to Harbor Freight today , to claim a warranty on a ratchet and it was flawless ! No questions asked and I didn't even need a receipt . They should have exchanged your brake bleeder no problem , but I guess it just depends on the store and staff.
I like the flex head Pittsburgh but it does get floppy after you use it for a couple stuck fasteners. Also after about 2 months of pro use, and maybe 10 times use at home. my teeth stripped out. Buought the Mac axis and found out its just as shitty but cost 6 times as much.
The Mechanic OC I mean if you've got everything already prepped like if you were going to pull through the top I E wiring harness airbox coolant drained etc. etc. I mean switch it to pop it out the bottom you'll have it out in no time
The Mechanic OC just remove the brake calipers tie them up unbolt the shock towers Drop exhaust system driveshaft lower down drop subframe bolts and Out she comes then I separate the transmission from there I just find it easier do it that way
I can't help it, but every ratchet I've 'worked' with has been tight until I've 'worked' them for awhile then they get loose. Ratchets are like cars. They get old, miles get put on them and they start to squeak, some start leaking fluids, and well it's just better to trade the old one in for a newer model with better options, not as noisy and has that 'new car smell'.
