Dr. Berg talks about the most common cause of B12 deficiencies. B12 is necessary for blood cells, energy metabolism, myelin and many other things. However, a low stomach acid can prevent the absorption of B12 so despite taking B12, nothing will work if your stomach acids are too weak.

Since last 13 years I have been suffering from rhinitis, non stop wet cough, post nasal dripping, short breath and acid reflux, specially after night meal. Doctor diagnosed copd prescribed medicines accordingly. No cure. All home remedy failed. An year back I came across a site where a lady age 70 mentioned she had similar symptoms for 30 years and her doctor said it is copd. No medicine cured her. Then she took apple cider vinegar. 2 tea sp in a glass of warm water twice daily. In the morning and before bed. Her copd was gone. From that day, I religiously follow her. Take acv twice daily. No copd, no acid reflux. Now after having seen dr. Erics vedio, I am more convinced about acv. Thank you doctor. You are god sent. This is the only channel, I have subscribed. Thank you again.
I have been suffer long tym of reflux and I think that time it's coming from hyperacidity 2 month ago I start ketogenic diet and I use apple vinegar OMG every thing changed and I throw all my anti acid and H2 receptor antagonist away...
I'm poor and broke, so I drink soda all day....for the last 10 years...soda for breakfast and lunch, a small dinner...Because of this, I have all of these symptoms...Since I've been drinking even more cherry coke lately, symptoms are getting worse...Soda is just as addictive as cigarettes, and I think more destructive on your body short term...
That makes complete sense. I am a celiac. I stopped using apple cider vinegar several months ago and since then my b12 with other vitamins have bottomed out almost completely. Wich has made it difficult to differentiate between symptoms of celiac and post concussion that comes with constant nausea and since stopped eating meat. So my mouth ulcers and sore tongue and a new kind of headache with lack of apple cider vinegar makes it clear that i need to go back to using apple cider vinegar. Clear and concise video are most helpful.
Hi I try to drink 4 days apple cider vinegar but i have citric allergy now plz advise me what should I drink ur all videos u r advising to drink apple cider vinegar but what about my condition plz give me advise
I am start seeing my skin darken as I drink ACV, I have been on B12 shots for years. I got off them 2 years ago because the Dr. was not interested in finding out why I could not absorb the vitamin. I am otherwise healthy. I see now why I am feeling better after adding ACV. Thank you!
I have a question I have gone on a diet for about 2 months now and cut out fatty foods. I have probably had less than 1 gallon of milk and a small square of cheese in those 2 months. For the past 2 weeks I’ve felt very weak and have been shaking. Is that because I don’t have enough b12 in my body? I’m getting stressed out because I keep thing it’s something else that is way worse like ALS. Please respond!!!!
I am 57 years old and have been in ill health for the last two years. I was in the hospital for a week for which i was billed almost $7000. With no satisfaction at all! I had researched every possibility for my complaints without success.Since I began watching your videos; and followed your leads, I feel absolutely wonderful! I went from feeling like I was soon to be in a nursing home to feeling like I have been blessed with a new life! You hit it right on the head with this video Doctor! This is what my problem WAS! I am literally feeling 20 years younger! Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and not making it be all about the money. I cannot thank you enough! You are awesome!
I have been told I have reflux and low B12. Had no idea B12 deficiency could cause all those problems, and I have most of those symptoms. My reflux is pretty bad. I have a lot of stomach pain. I'm not on prescription Nexium and it's helping a lot. Q: Is apple cider vinegar bad for reflux? Thank you so much for sharing this info with us.
Hi Dr I recently found that my B12 is low . It is 128 and secondly after that I got high (150) blood pressure problem and my age is 35 . So I would like to know that my blood pressure problem is because of B12 . Plz inform me on this. Thank you
I take 1 spoon of apple vinegar in 1 glass of non-sparkling water, in the morning, on empty stomach. I feel more energized, clearly. it made me fart the first day, but not nasty farts, just air. it also helped me with my mucus problem, after being cold.
I'm so happy today !! I've been suffering from chest pains. Been reading all day and finally found this video. I got out the apple cider vinegar and drank it before eating and took a double dose of B12 liquid. This is the first time I've been able to eat without pain!! Chest pain gone. I hope I've solved this issue.
Dr.Eric God bless you richly..you have cleared up this thing about having low stomach acid that's why am not able to digest b12 am using Acv because it really helps with indigestion bloating am feeling so much better now.....thank you for clearing up b12 issues..am happy...Susan from Trinidad in d west indies..
Recently found out for myself that ACV is amazing for acid reflux, Doc just gave me antacids, I had bloating, gas, tiredness and acid reflux for years :(
If I eat junk and get acid now I take acv and a glass of water and belch the acid and burning away, cannot praise this stuff enough, all those years of embarrassing gas and bloating cured, also need much less sleep and the extreme lethargy has gone.
Started on B12 when I gave up meat and felt better within weeks, ACV enhances the results.
Pharma corporations just want us reliant on antacids, It's sickening the Doctors are just prescribing and not advising.
I now inform everyone I know of the benefits.
I had to use a good couple of blops of acv in my kale shake when I just started. Otherwise the gas pains and burping just killed me. All the gurgling in the stomach, intestines thru to the hershey squirts at the other end. Now I'm 👍. Took a couple of months.
People should not be alarmed by this stuff: if you are a thinking person and want to become vegan, use your intelligence. I've never heard any two "B12" alarmists say the same thing either about what it is supposed to be, or about what it is supposed to do
What is the point to put anything on the board, and then stand in front and hide everything. I always wonder if the go tube authors promote themselves or trying to explain certain issues. In that case there is no need to overwhelm viewers with their own persona, unless they demonstrate something. In all other cases their preasence on the screen is simply useless.
metformin interferes with b12 metabolism. it can take several months for your body to get rid of metformin once you stop taking it. oral b12 supplements do not help while on metformin. only an injection works until you stop the metformin. metformin is the most commonly prescribed drug for type2 diabetes.
How does one know vitamin b12 exist? Has anyone ever seen it? What does it look like? What do you think about herbalife? Is it a money making pyramid scheme. Can you get everything from raw food vegan diet? So vinegar can solve the b12 problem in vegan diet?
Do you have any insight on raised Vit B12 levels, Dr. Berg? Her doctor is not unduly worried and attributes it to work stress, which is certainly relevant to my daughter, but while her thyroid and other results in two blood tests have altered favourably, her B12 levels have remained high (second reading slightly lower than first). She has a small patch of hair loss as well.
I've been having pain in my legs my upper thighs down by my shins hot burning stinging pain's leg would feel NUmb and I was getting bloated constipation constantly sometimes in the middle of the night I would get this pain in my thigh like somebody cutting my thigh muscle with a knife sharp tip I was tired all the time I would start to do something I have to quit because I didn't have the strength to go on started to do some research by Dr. thought it might have been my sciatic nerve in my back but after the research I've done by accident I come across B 12 deficiency so I took a B 12 tablet in the potassium tablets 24 hours later my leg stop hurting around 80% right now I am on day three of taking B12 and I'm almost cured I thought at first it might have been my water pill for my high blood pressure but from the looks of it and the way I feel it was B12 I also was getting dizzy when I had set up it only lasted a few seconds constipation is gone 24 hours after taking vitamin B 12 it's moving like normal my thigh and my shin are still kind of numb but I'm hoping it will go away in time I haven't told my doctor yet but I plan on telling him that my next appointment I literally thought I had a blood clot or maybe it was due to diabetes I had it checked out no blood clot no diabetes than I thought somehow I have poor circulation
Yes I m heaving lots of Gas, stomach fullness , volatile, reflux ,indigestion an anxiety , discomfort on stomach etc. make lots of test through Gestroentologist's like Endoscopy , colonoscopy , stool not forming properly etc. checked B12 which we found now 300++ earlier it was 200
Recently start again taking B12 supplement Morning.drinking PH water

Pls advice any further
A lack of the protein known as ''intrinsic factor'' is one of the main reasons for a low serum B12 level .Vitamin B12 cant be absorbed into the blood via the gut without this intrinsic factor....If the parietal cells in part of the small intestine are damaged or destroyed due to gut surgery or due to autoimmune destruction then the intrinsic factor is impaired or absent as these cells produce the intrinsic factor. The only way to compensate for this impaired B12 absorption in this instance is by B12 injections and/ or via sublingual (under the tongue) B12 supplements (lozenges)..
Low levels of stomach acid for various reasons , a poor dietary intake of good sources of B12 containing foods (such as calf's liver) and the overuse of antacids are the other main contributory reasons for having lower levels of vitamin B12., which if too low for a lengthy period will often lead to dangerous pernicious anemia. This untreated condition then results in damage to the nerves and the nervous system and can also eventually result in death.
thats good to know. If your serum B12 level is not at least 300 to 500 in range of say 230 to 650 , then i would be concerned that your levels are too low ...in Australia some doctors often dont have a clue and in Europe according to medical stats levels over 500 are highly recommended. They often look at the active serum levels of B12 now as well and not just the blood serum. Also, if the MCV of the RBC is enlarging (combined with a lower B12 level), then pernicious anemia is on the way as a rule.( even if no symptoms are present)
do you eat red meat or calf's liver, or take any B12 supplements now ? Have you made sure that your thyroid gland is ok , as it often goes hand in hand with a low B12 . The TSH and free t3 and free t4 levels must ALL be within certain ranges for the thyroid gland to be at optimal function. Also, do you.take betaine HCL (with pepsin added) after protein meals to increase stomach acidity ?
yes they are bad.. the stomach is mean to be acidic for proper digestion but this acidity can still cause or aggravate other existing problems when ulcers are present or when gastric reflux occurs, for example .. Low stomach acidity ( ie a low ph level) is called achlorhydria and irrespective of the cause of this , achlorhydria can result in complications.. such as bacterial overgrowth, intestinal metaplasia, and hip fracture. Therefore, a history of abdominal discomfort, early satiety, weight loss, bowel movement frequency, reflux symptoms, and abdominal bloating should be taken. Risk factors for achlorhydria, include... prior gastric bypass surgery, history of chronic H pylori infection ( the bacteria that causes most ulcers), chronic PPI use ( drugs to treat for reflux) , and autoimmune conditions (eg, diabetes, autoimmune thyroid disease).
