Hi thank you ....just one Q, what would be the p value if null hypothesis is true? because you are saying when P value is 0.005/0.006/0.001 -in all three cases null hypothesis is rejected, so when would we accept NH and then what would be the p value. Thank you

if the null hypothesis was true, p would equal 1, meaning the is a 100% likelihood that the differences observed are due to random chance. Traditionally in the medical sciences, if there is a greater than 5% probability that the differences observed are due to random chance (p>0.05) we accept the null hypothesis.

hey amazing lecture but there's one ques in both t test n chi squared test we are just calculating the p value itself so what's so special about them that they have a different name?

Thanks! You are correct in that both tests calculate a p-value. The T-test compares the means between two groups (the mean being a calculated value from an interval data set), whereas the chi-squared compares two groups based on frequencies of an ordinal data set. If you would like some more information regarding ordinal vs interval, please view 3:19 in the video.
